OOC: The purpose of this thread is to gain the level of Alter 1 for Tryjo. It should be noted that these are past events.

Tryjo knew that he only had a basic understanding of the true ability and nature of the Force, so to keep his training simple, he would often liken it’s architecture to that of a spider’s web. Thus, he could better visualize and understand the vast energy field that he was manipulating. But, what if one of the spider’s threads were to be altered within the very fabric of the web? This would be the challenge facing Tryjo this day; to alter the webbing, the natural flow of the Force, and make it his own.

Sitting by the bank of a lake on the outskirts of the temple grounds, Tryjo looked upon the surface of the water; it was as smooth as glass and as still as if it were a painted picture. It was not that Tryjo was procrastinating from his training, but altering the status quo was something that he had a few qualms with. Tryjo’s philosophy was one of total and complete balance; everything existing in a state of homeostasis. To disrupt this natural order of things would be going against his very principles, but perhaps the ends would justify the means. Leaning forward, Tryjo dipped his fingers into the water and swirled them around a few times causing the glass-like water to form a miniature whirlpool of sorts. As the water rippled around, Tryjo looked down at his distorted reflection. It was quite a symbolic moment as Tryjo continued to watch his reflection as it slowly returned to normal when the water resumed its placid state. ‘Don’t lose sight of your true self’, thought Tryjo to himself.

Sensing that it was time to begin his training session, Tryjo began to relax his physical body with some ritualistic breathing exercises. With each inhalation and exhalation, Tryjo would suppress his physical senses to allow his mind’s eye, which was in sync with the Force, to become his rule and guide. Methodically keeping his breathing as steady and as sure as a metronome, Tryjo further pushed his body to a place of relaxation and balance. Although his muscles were flaccid and his physical senses were dulled, his mental and spiritual connection to the Force was at its peak. Sensing the flow of energy in his immediate vicinity, Tryjo began to map out its network of complex threads, following one thread to another, and then to another, stretching his mind as far as his present abilities would allow. Tryjo would continue to do this until he had a firm understanding of the framework of Force energy flowing around the lake in its natural state.

Turning his senses toward a small portion of the lake before him, Tryjo delved into the depths of the water. He began to concentrate with intensity on the physical makeup of the water itself, sensing the very molecules that formed the fluidic substance. Pushing his senses further, Tryjo began to visualize the individual atoms themselves that were joined together to form the water molecules. He examined each molecule and each atom intently, watching how they interacted, and how they expended energy. Tryjo would continue to observe the elements interacting until he felt that he had gleaned enough information to begin.

Turning his attention back to the framework of Force energy around him, Tryjo began to beckon energy toward his position; pulling energy from his very surroundings. He would take this energy and submerge it into the water to his front, forming an intense concentration of Force energy beneath the surface of the lake. Tryjo continued to build upon the ball of energy until it was almost too much for him to successful control. The mental concentration to contain the Force energy was intense, but with extreme discipline, Tryjo was able to maintain control. Using the ball of Force energy as a catalyst of sorts, Tryjo began to catch water molecules within its web of energy. More and more molecules of water began to become trapped in the energy web, as Tryjo continued to fish them out of the surrounding water. When the web of energy was saturated to the point that it could not contain any more molecules, Tryjo began to concentrate on lifting the water filled ball of energy out of the lake.

At first, Tryjo might as well have been trying to lift a Super Star Destroyer with his bare hands, as the ball of energy would not budge; not even a millimeter. Tryjo would not let failure become an option, and he began to beckon more threads of Force energy toward the ball of water; not to reinforce the ball, but to aid in lifting it out of the lake. As Tryjo attached thread after thread of energy to the ball, he could sense that it was shifting. It would not be long until enough threads of energy had been applied to the ball of water that it would be successfully levitating a full three meters above the surface of the lake. Mental discipline was paramount as Tryjo struggled to hold the ball of energy which was filled with water. Reaffirming his staunch mental control over the Force, Tryjo fortified the levitating ball of water within the preexisting framework of flowing Force energy that he had sensed upon his beginning of the training. With the ball of water now securely in place, Tryjo would begin to concentrate on the next phase of his training.

The ball of water continued to float above the lake as Tryjo turned his concentration toward the individual molecules that made up the fluid. He had previously examined their structure within the lake, so he had a firm understanding of how they reacted with each other when in a fluid state. Tryjo began to summon upon the Force to realign each water molecule within the ball of energy so that they were opposing each other. With staggering speed, waves of Force energy penetrated the ball of water and realigned each molecule so that the hydrogen bonding would be at its weakest. With the realignment complete, Tryjo next began to focus on expanding the distance between the molecules within the ball of energy. He would accomplish this by allowing the ball of energy to expand every so slowly, and since the molecules were now aligned to oppose each other, they would thus move away from each other. The point of this was to weaken the hydrogen bonding and to lower the overall pressure within the ball of energy to aid in the finial stage of this training session.

With everything in order, Tryjo began to focus his attention on the individual atoms that made up each water molecule within the ball of energy. Mustering as much concentration as he could, Tryjo began to bombard each atom with jolts of Force energy to make them vibrate. With this vibration came heat, and with this heat came expansion, and with this expansion came the breaking apart of the bonds that held the water molecules together. Soon, as enough molecules began to break apart, the ball of energy was full of a boiling mass of super-heated water that was quickly turning to a gaseous state of existence. Tryjo held fast and struggled to hold the ball of energy together as he continued to direct the Force to break the bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms. With the task nearly complete, Tryjo summoned as much energy as he could and peeled the top of the ball of energy back, allowing the super-heated steam to escape into the atmosphere. The steam burst forth with a hissing sound that almost reminded Tryjo of a kettle over a fire; there was no kettle, but Tryjo had made the fire.

With every trace of water, down to the last molecule, driven from the ball of energy, Tryjo released his hold over the Force and allowed it to resume it natural flow within the environment. He had been successful in altering the web of Force energy, and Tryjo was most pleased with the result. However, this did reveal dangerous aspects to the power that could be wielded by those who were not in true balance with the Force. Perhaps with further training, further understanding could be derived upon this aspect of the Force, but for now, Tryjo would return to the temple to meditate on what he had learned.

OOC: The purpose of this thread is to gain the level of Alter 2 for Tryjo. It should be noted that these are past events.

IC: A sultry breeze found its way through the winding corridors of the Shadow Temple on Daemonis, and with it came the fragrant smell of rain. Tryjo strode along one of the lesser traveled sections of the Temple when he caught a whiff of this refreshing scent. Seizing upon the opportunity to spend some time watching the seductive dance of the failing drops of rain, Tryjo made his way toward the upper levels of the Temple to find an access point to the roof. As he continued on his way, the distant sound of rumbling thunder became audible and this naturally quickened Tryjo’s pace. For now, not only would Tryjo’s eyes enjoy the beauty and gentleness of the rain, but he would become witness of the awesome power and wonder of lightning.

Tryjo gained access to the Temple’s rooftop as the first few drops of rain began to fall from the heavens. The tiny spherical droplets of water danced all about Tryjo and his surroundings; cleansing the area with every graceful movement. Wishing to further enjoy the serenity of the nighttime rain shower without becoming drenched himself, Tryjo folded his arms and began to beckon upon the ever flowing Force. As if drawing water from a bottomless well, so did Tryjo absorb an abundance of Force energy in preparation for his task. As the energy field about Tryjo grew in magnitude, he began to form it into a canopy to place above his body. Molding and shaping the tangled threads of energy, Tryjo wove them together as if he were a seasoned tailor using a loom. As the energy field grew in size, strength, and tautness, Tryjo began to sense that the droplets of water making impact upon its surface were not penetrating. Slightly adjusting the angle of his canopy, Tryjo began to redirect the rain collecting upon its surface so that he would stay dry as he continued to watch.

Being that Tryjo now did not have to worry about becoming soaked by the increasing rain, he began to focus his thoughts elsewhere. Bringing his right hand out in front of his body, palm held upward, Tryjo focused upon the individual drops of rain as they fell around him. Stretching out through the Force, Tryjo began to envision the falling droplets of water using his mind’s eye. Ever so slowly, he focused upon decelerating single droplets of water around his body; eventually slowing them to a point to which their velocity was zero. With stern concentration, Tryjo reached out to these stationary water droplets with tendrils of Force energy, and in doing so, reshaped them into tiny disks. Tendrils of energy still in place, Tryjo began to rotate the disks of rain around his body in an attempt to capture additional moisture and increase the size of each disk. As the unaffected droplets of rain continued to fall from the heavens, many of them impacted with Tryjo’s disks of water; steadily increasing their volume. Using the tendrils of energy attached to the water disks as a guide, Tryjo felt that he had collected enough water after several minutes of rotating the disks. His right hand still in place, Tryjo began to pull each tendril of energy toward his open palm, and with each tendril came a discus of water. Upon drawing the water disks over top his palm, Tryjo began to merge them together into one larger blob. Looking down toward the bubble of water in his palm, Tryjo watched as its surface seemed to follow the ebb and flow of the Force holding it in place. But, Tryjo was growing weary of keeping the ball of water in place, and so he rotated his hand up and around to a position behind the ball. Catching hold to a thread of Force energy, Tryjo attached it to the blob of water and accelerated it back into the heavens to fall once again.

A brilliant flash of bluish light quickly drew Tryjo’s attention toward the spectacular bolts of lightning that were traversing the clouds above. Immense power being transmitted in milliseconds; Tryjo was almost jealous of nature’s ability to control such a wondrous display. Extending both arms toward the tangled webs of lightning, Tryjo began to reach out through the Force in an attempt to briefly touch this power; if only for a moment. Tingling sensations coursed through Tryjo’s body as the Force shown him a mere glimpse of what he was seeking, and this gave Tryjo a new respect for the more subtle of forces; the forces of nature. However, the ever living Force binds all things together, and Tryjo would recount this as he began to ponder bending the lightning to his very will. Arms still extended toward the heavens, Tryjo began to seek out the differing electrical charged particles that made up the framework for a typical lightning bolt. Traversing from the ground up to the clouds, Tryjo would individually identify areas of intense concentration in an attempt to build his own scaffolding for the electrical discharge to follow.

Having found a large area of highly concentrated charged particles surrounding a nearby fir tree, Tryjo began to reach out through the Force in an attempt to manipulate these particles. As the flow of Force energy passed through Tryjo, so did it pass along the path of the fir tree, and with this flowing of energy did Tryjo dictate his alteration of the particles’ natural paths. Seeking to form a ground to cloud connection, Tryjo allowed the tiny charged atoms to begin to collect into a ladder of sorts, reaching skyward. Of course, this was no straight ladder, as Tryjo twisted and contorted the ions to create an impressive display of light when a connection was finally made. However, Tryjo would need a framework of oppositely charged ions to complete his connection, and this would have to come from the very clouds themselves. Seeking to find the highest density of charged particles, Tryjo allowed the Force to guide his senses through the massive storm clouds. Not being satisfied with the results of his tedious search, Tryjo began to beckon upon the flowing Force to shift the various upper atmospheric winds to allow several mountainous particle producing clouds to merge together. Allowing his mind’s eye to reach out and touch the very wind itself, Tryjo began to dictate its path in order to better guide the particle rich clouds together.

Sensing that that heavens were properly positioned to generate enough ions to build his scaffolding, Tryjo sent forth a wave of Force energy to begin the manipulation of the charged particles. Like that of a master craftsman building a steady foundation, so did Tryjo set forth merging the various atoms together in an organized fashion capable of providing an adequate conducting surface. Of course, the prevailing currents of natural conduction and the occasional igniting of a particle made this process somewhat difficult, but with a steadfast purpose, Tryjo was able to successfully isolate a large section of the sky in which to place the ionized ladder. With the two ladders of opposing charges constructed, Tryjo once again willed them, through the awesome power of the Force, toward each other. As the two ends came closer together, it was apparent that the magnetic forces at work within each part were becoming stronger, but with due diligence, Tryjo was able to slowly guide them toward a fateful meeting.

The events that followed seem to take place at a slower rate of time to Tryjo, but in reality it was only mere seconds. As the two opposing charges connected, a brilliant white arc of electricity emerged from cloud to ground, blasting the unsuspecting fir tree to smithereens. Tryjo watched on in amazement, knowing that this same awesome power could be emulated by a properly trained Force user, but the glorious beauty of the natural occurrence, however manipulated it may have been, was something that could not be emulated. It was at this moment that things went awry. Tryjo could not be exactly sure what caused the stray spike of energy to travel toward him, but this is exactly what quickly transpired. Sensing the eminent bolt approaching, Tryjo quickly abandoned all other processes that were taking away from his mental concentration – the Force canopy, and both the ground and cloud scaffolding of ions he was holding together. Thrusting both hands to his forefront, Tryjo fervently reached out to the Force to allow him to bend the oncoming bolt of high energy back toward the heavens. Struggling against the sheer magnitude of the electrical bolt, Tryjo mustered as much mental energy as he possibility could in an attempt to command the Force to hearken the electrical bolt back to its origins. Feeling a rush of superheated air whizzing beside his body, the stray lightning bolt came mere meters from striking Tryjo full force, but instead struck a metal pipe along the top of the roof causing minimal damage to the structure.

Mentally and physically shaken by the event, Tryjo’s emotions could be said to be on the edge of a vibroblade; sway too much either way and fall. Using his emotional state as a catalyst, Tryjo unleashed a powerful wave of Force energy to disperse any remaining ionized particles that remained within his immediate area, whilst almost simultaneously beckoning upon the Force to further manipulate the upper atmospheric winds to break apart any lightning producing clouds. One could say that Tryjo had temporarily lost control over his balanced nature, and this statement would be correct. Continuing to manipulate the Force in ways to dispel any further chances of an electrical strike, Tryjo’s emotions went unchecked. The gentle touch of rain falling upon Tryjo’s body eventually brought him back to a calmed state of existence, and this is the point at which Tryjo understood how power, or the lust thereof, could corrupt. Lusting after the naturally existing power of nature in the form of lightning, Tryjo himself almost fell victim to its strength and beauty. Many days of meditation would be needed to contemplate the events that transpired this night, but Tryjo was pleased nonetheless with the way his destiny had been tested.

Being drenched from the rain in lieu of his lost canopy, Tryjo slowly turned to leave the rooftop. With a wave of his left hand, Tryjo sent a rush of Force energy toward the access door that led back to the innards of the temple. Sensing the energy wave impacting with the door, Tryjo commanded it to push the door open so he could pass through into the temple. As the door swung forth, Tryjo passed through the threshold and breathed a slight sigh of relief. The buildup of energy still strong around the doorway, Tryjo beckoned upon it to seal the passage back before he departed. And, just as swiftly as the door had opened, it closed. Much like the very Force itself, doors to either the dark or like side can be easily opened, but once one crosses the threshold, it is much harder to maintain objectivity and balance. Thus were the idle thoughts of Tryjo as he made haste toward his chambers, and would continue to be his thoughts well into the night.

OOC: The purpose of this thread is for the training of Tryjo in the art of C1. It should be noted that these are past events.

IC: Tryjo would often walk the grounds of the Shadow Temple while meditating on his current spot in life and how he came to be a part of the Order. He had become accustomed to the rigors of training, both mental and physical, and one could say that he favored training over more sociable outings. Thus, he found the solitude of the Temple property to be his favored area for skill improvement, and this is where one would find Tryjo on a regular basis.

“Are you ready to proceed?” Came the ever familiar voice of Quinton which broke through the veil of silence that Tryjo had been wearing.

“I am ready,” Tryjo rebuffed.

In an instant, a wall of Force energy began to press on the body of Tryjo. He could feel the sheer power of its will beginning to envelop him and weigh down on his body; his core muscles struggling to compensate against the pressure of the Force. Sensing how the Force was flowing around his body, Tryjo attempted to raise his arms in an attempt to puncture through this wall of energy, but the stream of steady power forced his arms to drop as if his hands were being pulled toward the center of the planet. As the pressure steadily increased, its effects soon began to effect Tryjo’s breathing, as his lungs and diaphragm struggled to push and pull viable oxygen in and out of his body.

Realizing that brute physical strength was not going to release him from this prison made of Force energy and not of mortar and stone, Tryjo began to clear his mind for the mental task ahead. He began to focus on the flow of the Force energy that was surrounding and pressing on his very fiber. With extreme concentration, Tryjo began to visualize how the Force energy was flowing around him, and how it was reacting with his body; causing the weight and pressure. Once Tryjo had accomplished sensing how the Force energy was flowing over him, he prepared his mind to redirect that very flow of energy to release himself from its grasp.

His mental concentration was intense, as Tryjo had never attempted to shift the flow of the Force before. But, if he was to successfully complete this training session with Quinton, he would have to accomplish just that. Tryjo bent his arms at the elbows, forcing his palms together at a point at the center of his chest. The rotation of Force energy around his body was intense, but Tryjo began to slowly turn his palms away from his chest while focusing on the vibrations within the system of energy. Slowly and methodically, Tryjo began to push outward with his palms; expanding the circular rotation of energy around him. As the expansion between the energy wave and Tryjo’s body increased, he could feel a release of pressure upon his lungs and core stabilizer muscles. Tryjo continued to push the energy outward until he could no longer feel the effects of the pressure upon his body.

Having successfully modified the flow of Force energy around his body, Tryjo now set his mind on restoring the energy system to its natural state. His palms were still facing out and away from his body, as he was holding the energy wave in place and keeping himself out of its grip. Using sheer mental concentration, Tryjo focused on keeping the rotating energy system in place as he began to rotate his palms inward again. It was a mental and physical drain upon his senses, but Tryjo held the system in place until his palms were now once more touching. His arms, with palms touching, now formed the shape of a triangular blade to the front of Tryjo’s body. Focusing on disrupting the circular flow of energy, Tryjo began to extend his bladed arms forward, directly into the energy field. As the tips of his fingers pierced the energy system, Tryjo could feel that he was beginning to successfully disrupt its flow. It took almost a minute for Tryjo to force his hands completely into the circling wall of Force energy, but once they were firmly in place, Tryjo began to move his palms apart. As his palms grew further and further apart, the circling energy began to readily dissipate and resume its natural flow. Once Tryjo’s arms had outstretched directly opposite of each other, the Force energy that had been encapsulating him had virtually been restored to his homeostatic state within its natural state.

Dropping his arms to his side, Tryjo was almost completing exhausted from the metal and physical discipline he had to endure during the training session. Looking up at Quinton, Tryjo gave a simple smile and nodded. “That was more difficult that I had envisioned.”

“The flow of the Force is dynamic; it is not something that exists in a static state. In time, you will begin to understand how to better manipulate its flow. But, for today, you have done quite well.” With that Quinton excused himself back to the confines of the Temple and left Tryjo to meditate on his recent accomplishment.

Having a moment of solitude, Tryjo sat upon the ground and began to reflect on the training session he had just completed. The cool, dry earth felt comfortable beneath his body, and Tryjo enjoyed a soft breeze that flowed over the landscape. As the sun was quickly setting however, Tryjo soaked in the last few moments of peaceful bliss before returning to the Temple to rest and rejuvenate for another training session.

*****

Standing inside one of the many meditation chambers of the Temple, Tryjo gawked at its ornate design. The room had many intricate carvings on the walls, with massive stone pillars encircling a step-down center area, which had two large statues looming over it as if they were guardians of the arena. Not to be overshadowed by their presence, Tryjo made his way to the center of the arena floor and sat promptly on its hard, granite surface.

Tryjo looked up at the two towering figures standing over him, one to his right and the other to his left, before taking a small metal ball bearing from his pocket. Tryjo rolled the little ball between his thumb and index finger a few times, feeling its distinct smooth surface, before placing it on the floor before him. On a previous training day, Tryjo had successfully been able to manipulate Force energy that had been manipulated by Quinton. Today, Tryjo would attempt to manipulate the Force in a way that it would interact with the tiny ball bearing presented before him.

As with any training session, Tryjo began to clear his mind and focus on the flow of energy around him. His mind, being as sharp as a newly forged vibroblade, had little trouble in attuning itself to the ever present, ever living energy field surrounding him. As Tryjo continued to draw himself closer to the Force, he began to visualize the tiny metal ball and its physical properties; attempting to fuse the two thought processes together as one in an attempt to ready himself, the ball, and the Force for the task ahead.

Gazing upon the ball bearing, Tryjo outstretched his left arm and placed his open hand, palm down, directly over the tiny object. He then began to draw upon the fluidic Force energy that permeated the meditation chamber and focused on drawing it to the open space between his hand and the bearing. As Tryjo continued to siphon the energy from his surroundings, he began to attempt to shape the energy field into a perfect sphere; just large enough to encapsulate the tiny ball bearing. Keeping the flowing energy shaped into a small sphere was difficult, but with the precision of a surgeon, Tryjo was finally able to manipulated it to his will and form the small bubble of energy.

With the small pocket of Force energy created, Tryjo slowly started to lower his hand, pushing the bubble toward the ball bearing on the floor. Keeping his mind sternly centered on the task at hand, Tryjo was able to slip the bubble of energy around the ball bearing, successfully encasing it in a ball of Force energy. Taking a slow, deep breath to ease the tension that was building within his muscles, Tryjo began to beckon the Force bubble toward his open palm. As he continued to mentally struggle on lifting the small capsule of energy that contained the ball bearing, Tryjo’s will began to give way. The tiny metal ball only weighed an ounce, but it might as well weighed several metric tones, as Tryjo lacked the mental strength to lift it.

Not to keen on succumbing to a failure, Tryjo began to reformulate his strategy on moving the tiny metal object. If he could not command the Force to levitate it off the floor of the chamber, perhaps he could persuade it to roll the tiny ball bearing, as that was what ball bearings were meant to do anyway. Reaffirming his mental determination, Tryjo began to focus his attention on the bubble of Force energy that he held in place around the ball bearing. Moving his open palm closer to the ball bearing, Tryjo began to focus on making the bubble of Force energy swirl around the bearing. With each passing second, the energy stream continued to swirl faster and faster around the bearing in an attempt to make it roll. Looking on with a passion not to be denied, Tryjo’s eyes widened as the tiny bearing began vibrate. His heart racing, his hand shaking, Tryjo strained to pull the swirling ball of energy across the floor toward success.

Victory!

On the behest of the Force, the tiny metal ball bearing rolled approximately 3 inches across the floor in front of Tryjo. It was a momentous occasion, but Tryjo was once again physically and mentally drained from the training session. He pulled his hand away from the bearing, and with it he released the tiny bubble of Force energy back into its natural state of existence. Lying back on the cool, granite floor, Tryjo looked upward toward the guardians of the arena; their stoic gaze looking back toward him. "If I can move a tiny bearing, I can move mountains," Tryjo thought to himself. All things are possible through the power of the Force.

Tryjo pulled his body upright and picked up the bearing and placed it back into his pocket for safekeeping. Turning toward the exit, Tryjo strode to the door of the mediation chamber to head back to his sleep chamber to rest. As he exited, he glanced back over his shoulder toward the empty room and gave a slight sigh. I stand on the shoulders of giants…

OOC: The purpose of this thread is to train Tryjo in Control level 2. It should be noted that these are past events.

IC: What does it necessarily mean to have control over something? Tryjo would often ponder over this very question while meditating on his ability to control various aspects of the energy field he knew as the every living Force. But, was he really in control of this powerful entity, or was it controlling him, leading him to believe that he was the one in control. An interesting paradox it created when one tried to rationalize the incomprehensive aspects of the very nature of the Force and its influences on those that attempted to wield its power. Nonetheless, Tryjo would spend many waking hours bettering his understanding of controlling the energy field, whether he was actually in control or not, and how it interacted with himself and everything else in the environment at large.

Tryjo was quickly brought back to reality by a vicious thigh kick that sent him straight to the ground of the training room like a metric ton of masonry bricks. Wincing as he massaged his left leg, Tryjo glared up at Quinton with disdain. ”If you let your mind wander in combat as you do in training, you will not have the opportunity to massage the pain away. You will be dead.” Quinton had a way with words, but Tryjo knew that he was correct. To him combat was a despicable process practiced by those without regard for more elegant pursuits, but Tryjo was not naïve; He understood that it was a necessary evil he must practice in order to ensure his survival and the survival of his belief structure. ”I understand, Quinton.”

His femoral nerve still shocked from the kick, Tryjo’s leg muscles would simply not work to allow him to regain his footing to stand upright. Tryjo began to beckon upon the Force energy that was flowing through the room like the tidal surges of one of the many oceans on Daemonis. Grasping its presence through mental concentration, Tryjo began to draw upon the seemingly endless supply of energy that the Force possessed. With his left hand resting softly upon his left upper thigh, Tryjo began to summon an energy field around the aching thigh. Like that of a skilled painter whisking his brush across a canvas that was sat upon an easel, Tryjo quickly formed a bubble of Force energy that encapsulated the entire upper thigh of his left leg. Building upon the bubble of Force energy, Tryjo intensified the field energy as much as his limited abilities would allow. Thus, an extremely concentrated bubble was in place about his thigh and ready for the next phase of his task.

Seeking to ease the pain a bit, Tryjo began to manipulate the bubble to caress and massage his thigh muscles with the tenderness of a mother’s touch, but with just enough tension to loosen the taunt muscle fibers. As the bubble quivered under his direct command, Tryjo began to call upon individual fibers of Force energy and compelled them to wrap themselves around the femoral nerve that was still reverberating from the thigh kick that sent him to the ground. As each successive cord of Force energy wrapped itself around the femoral nerve, the numbing sensation began to subside and muscle control began to slowly return to Tryjo’s flaccid leg. Perhaps this was a bit much for just a simple kick to the thigh, but Tryjo knew that to truly master his control over the Force, he must take heed to every opportunity that presents itself to him for training purposes. Thus, he continued to allow the bubble of vibrating energy to massage his aching muscles until the intense pain had been utterly decimated, and the femoral nerve had been returned to a state of relaxation.

Returning to his feet, Tryjo continued to shake off the pain and embarrassment of being caught so off guard by Quinton. ”Alright, shall we try this again?” Tryjo almost sensed a mocking tone buried deep within the audible range of Quinton’s words, but he would stay the course and not let Quinton’s goading distract him once again. ”We shall.”

Tryjo positioned his body so that his right leg was now in close proximity to Quinton, as he knew that Quinton would most likely try to perform the same kick once again. Of course, this time Tryjo would better prepare himself to accept the blow from Quinton’s lightening fast assault. In an attempt to imbue his right leg with Force energy, Tryjo began to muster as much power as he could surmise from the field of energy around him, whilst attempting not to alert Quinton to his strategy. Starting at the base of his leg, the foot, Tryjo began to surround his ankle with bands of energy in an attempt to brace his joint for the purpose of holding tight when impact would be made. Taking his time to see that every conceivable crevice between the bones of his ankle was securely fortified by a band of pure energy, Tryjo had to be careful not to cause undo harm to his foot due to fusing of bone and energy. Moving up to the calf muscle, Tryjo would weave threads of Force energy into the very muscle fibers themselves to strengthen them and allow for support for a retaliatory attack on his part. Feeling the muscle swell as the Force imposed itself upon it, Tryjo continued to work the threads of energy around the muscle fibers as a skilled textile worker would operate a handloom. As with the ankle, Tryjo would fuse bands of energy around his knee to keep his leg straight and not allow for bending when Quinton delivered his kick. As the bands of energy flowed underneath the patella, they began to connect the femur, tibia, and fibula together with a bond stronger than any other ligament could adequately provide. Finally moving up to the thigh, Tryjo encompassed the large muscles of his upper leg with a bubble of energy that would absorb the brunt of the oncoming kick, as this would be where the direct assault we take place. As the bubble of energy encapsulated his thigh, Tryjo wove threads of energy deep into his quadriceps as a secondary defense to the prevailing bubble. And, to even take the process a step further, Tryjo would secure a layer of Force energy around the femoral nerve to prevent any muscle failure due to any outside force over stimulating the nerve itself.

With his leg fully prepared, Tryjo waited for the inevitable, and not to his surprise, it was not that long of a wait. Taking advantage of the over exposed right leg of Tryjo, Quinton quickly spun on his heel and delivered a powerful kick to the right thigh of Tryjo. The blow came with a force that would have easily knocked him off of his feet if it were not for the steps he had taken to harden his body. Of course, the blow did cause a bit of pain due to the fact that Tryjo did not take the time to place any barriers between the pain receptors of his leg and those in his brain; This would definitely serve as a reminder to him in later battles. But, Tryjo was able to shake off the kick and deliver a counter assault of his own by dropping down and sweeping Quinton’s weight bearing leg out from underneath him. Thus, Quinton found himself with his back on the floor of the training room. It was a foolish sense of pride that crept up upon Tryjo seeing Quinton lying on the floor as the result of his handiwork, but this would be short lived. As Tryjo released his hold over the Force that had imbued his right leg, the reality of the situation quickly revealed itself. Having made his leg so very rigid prior to the attack, Tryjo had neglected to account for any stressors that might effect his tendons; the strips of elastic fleshy material that connects muscles to bone. One of the tendons in his knee suffered a slight tear, and the pain was readily evident. It would be a lesson learned, but Tryjo was still quite impressed with his subtle victory over Quinton, as these victories were few and far between.

”Very good, but I sense that you are injured. You better get to the infirmary and let the doctor take a look at your knee.”

Tryjo gave a bow to Quinton, who was still sitting on the floor of the training room, and headed off to the office of the doctor for treatment. Of course, the pain in the knee was quite intense, but Tryjo did not possess the ability to heal himself and he would have to rely on the Shadow doctors to repair any damage that was done. This did not mean however that he could not beckon the Force to allow him some relief from the pain as he made his way to the infirmary. Once again summoning energy from his surroundings, Tryjo began to pull threads of pure Force energy toward his wounded knee. He would not attempt to block the pain, as this was a reminder of the mistake he had made, but he would use the threads of energy to strengthen the torn tendon until he arrived at the doctor’s office. Tryjo attached threads of energy to the patellar tendon which connects the bottom of the patella to the tibia. He then began to focus on using these threads of energy as a stitching of sorts to bind the tear temporarily. To further cushion the knee as he walked, Tryjo focused on preparing a bubble of Force energy and placed it within the knee joint itself to allow for ease of movement. Encapsulating the meniscus and the bursa within the bubble, Tryjo slowly expanded the bubble to allow for smoother operation of the knee joint and release of tension on the patellar tendon. With the Force stitching and bubble in place, Tryjo continued toward the infirmary to see the doctor. It proved to be a longer walk than he anticipated, but with each step, Tryjo received a painful reminder of how his control over the Force was still in its infancy. Keeping his concentration steadfast, Tryjo was able to hold the bubble of energy in place until he arrived at the infirmary.

Taking a seat on one of the many examination tables, Tryjo began to unwind the stitching that was holding his patellar tendon in place. Slowly and methodically, Tryjo released the threads of energy back into the environment and allowed them to resume their natural flow. Moving to the bubble that was supporting his meniscus and bursa, Tryjo deflated it with ease until it was no more; Thus, releasing his control over the Force energy that was aiding him up until this point. Lying back on the exam table, Tryjo reflected on the training session as a whole. It had not been a total failure, as Tryjo learned several valuable lessons about the Force, himself, and Quinton. All in all, Tryjo was pleased with the results, even if it meant he had to spend the next several days in rehabilitation over a partially torn tendon.

OOC: The purpose of this thread is to promote Tryjo from Control level 2 to Control level 3. It should be noted that these are past events.

IC: Being an ever vigilant student of the Shadows, Tryjo had taken great strides to continue his training at manipulating the metaphysical energies of the Force. However, Tryjo was often caught in a quandary, wondering if it was actually he manipulating the currents of energy, or if the currents of energy were manipulating him. It was self-evident that a connection existed between Tryjo and the living Force, but the question remained – Who was the puppet and who was the puppeteer?

The only answer that Tryjo could contrive, in reference to this perplexing relationship between he and the Force, was that there must exist a symbiotic connection between the two. A sharing, if you will, of the consciousness and physical manifestation of Tryjo’s own body, coupled with the intangible but omnipotent metaphysical power of the Force. Thus, Tryjo did bend the will of the Force to suit his needs, while the Force bent Tryjo’s will to suit its needs. And so, a circle of existence that had spanned for millennia on end, would continue to exist well beyond Tryjo’s own impression upon his particular point in time.

Sitting comfortably on a meditative pad in his private chambers, Tryjo had been engrossed in a meditative trance for quite some time. He had been seeking to discover new methods to deepen his connection to the Force around him, but he had found several stumbling blocks that hindered his efforts. Not too dissimilar from other electromagnetic fields that permeate the galaxy, the Force exists in varying degrees of intensity. But, having its own distinctive flow, much like the currents of a great sea, the Force can be manipulated to follow a predetermined course as set forth by an adept Force wielder. By commanding the Force to follow certain paths, avoiding obstacles that could hinder or slow its natural flow, the Force user could in essence make a deeper, if not more concentrated connection, to the Force energy around him.

In order to determine how the currents of Force energy were moving throughout his private chamber, Tryjo began to outstretch his senses in an effort to tap into the present currents of energy. From the way it flowed in through the open doors and windows, to the way it attempted to flow through a large storage crate that contained some of Tryjo’s meager garbs, to the way it interacted with the tiniest speck of dust that floated upon the air, Tryjo profoundly studied the subtle motion of the Force around him. Beginning at the outer fringes of the chamber, Tryjo began to beckon upon the Force currents to begin to spiral inward. This spiral effect would be purposefully directed along the inner walls of the chamber to avoid interacting with objects that could hinder the defined flow. With a basic flowing spiral motion achieved, Tryjo fervently invoked that the Force begin to churn with an intense speed; the more prominent the speed, the more prominent the energy transfer. Lapping up any wayward threads of energy, Tryjo methodically weaved them back into the main stream of the Force to maximize the concentration and minimize the loss of potential energy. Likened to hurricane of pure energy, the band of concentrated Force energy encircled the chamber under Tryjo’s watchful eye, awaiting further manipulation.
Sitting in the center of this swirling torrent of Force energy, Tryjo ascribed himself the focal point of an invisible sphere, with the spiraling belt of energy being the outermost edge or circumference of the same. Now seeking to tame the energy within this sphere, Tryjo began to hearken to its subtle whispers and movements around his body; taking heed not to overlook the slightest eruption of energy. Focusing on the area directly around his physical form, Tryjo began to contort his own aura of Force energy into the shape of an ever ready receptacle to receive an influx of revitalizing nourishment from the energy stream that he would create. Striving to deepen the connection between his physical form and that of the intangible Force, Tryjo shifted and shaped his Force aura to be taunt against his body in an attempt to force his being to become completely saturated with the incoming energy. With a glove of energy pressed against his skin, Tryjo began to drive spikes of Force energy throughout his body to act as makeshift conduits. Following his body’s own preexisting nerves, Tryjo placed these spikes of conductive energy along the same channels these nerves followed. Emanating from his brain and traversing down to the soles of his feet, Tryjo neatly embedded a spike of energy along each nerve pathway.

His physical body prepared to receive the influx of Force energy, Tryjo began to work outward from his body; preparing the framework to connect his body to the spiraling energy that surrounded him. The energy that permeated Tryjo’s sphere was erratic, following undefined paths that hindered its freedom of movement. Seeking to lessen the obstructions between himself and the spiral of energy, Tryjo beckoned upon the Force to cleave from these hindered natural paths and follow one of his own design. Clipping away at the natural flowing of the Force, Tryjo found that the resulting ebb would require a greater focus to keep the streams concentrated. Reaffirming his staunch determination, Tryjo conjectured that if he cropped the Force’s natural paths on opposite ends, the resulting ebbs would send the energy streams upon each other. And, as a result of this merging together of energy streams, Tryjo could quickly tie them together before they attempted to resume their natural flow once again. Following through with his attempts to crop the natural paths of the Force, Tryjo began to break the banks of each energy stream on opposite sides. As the energy began to pour out from the breeches upon the natural streams, the resulting ebbs sent a great amount of energy cascading toward each other. Struggling to keep pace with the amount of energy being suddenly redirected, Tryjo fervently worked to begin to tie the merging energy together into a new stream.

Likened to herding bantha on one of the many open and dusty plains of Tatooine, Tryjo had to constantly reach out and catch wayward threads of energy that were attempting to revert to their natural flow. Grabbing each lone thread, Tryjo quickly wrapped it upon itself and merged it into the larger stream he was weaving together. Repeating this process several times over, Tryjo eventually accomplished his goal of redirecting the streams of energy into a larger, more concentrated, main stream. With this main stream now under his control, Tryjo began to form it into a compressed tube-like apparatus. Focusing on the individual threads of energy contained within the major stream, Tryjo began to command them to stretch themselves toward either end of the tube. Making sure that each thread of energy was not twisted or tangled within another, Tryjo stretched each of them as he continued to compress the stream. As the last of the threads were straightened, Tryjo had compressed the stream to a point where one would have thought a density projector was being used upon it. Nonetheless, Tryjo accomplished his goal of having a dense stream of energy with straightened threads to better conduct the energy into his awaiting body.

Placing the utmost care in his command over the newly formed stream, Tryjo gently propelled it into the spiraling torrent of energy that he continued to hold firm around the circumference of his sphere. As he drove the stream into the spiraling energy, a surge of power shot down the stream, but with an accomplished resolve, Tryjo was able to hold the onslaught of energy at bay. Mentally and physically preparing himself for being inundated by a powerful surge of energy, Tryjo slowly drew his constructed stream nearer to his body. Tryjo could sense the power that was coursing mere inches from his awaiting body, and he knew that he must prepare himself or face an overwhelming discharge that could leave him permanently damaged. As Tryjo slipped the constructed stream into his lingering receptacle, the influx of power was almost too sinewy for Tryjo to control. But, with a stalwart fortitude, Tryjo was able to control the inflow of energy into his awaiting body. Allowing the energy to flow into his body at predefined intervals, Tryjo could feel it traversing down the conduits he had previously put in place. It was invigorating to feel such power within the confines of his body, but Tryjo had to be leery not to overload his senses with the sheer amount of power that was contained within the stream.

After several precious moments of pure glee, basking within the awesome power of the Force, Tryjo knew that he had to return the Force energy back to its natural state of existence. Not wanting to completely disconnect himself from the stream and risk any unnecessary shock upon his body, Tryjo began to push energy back into his constructed stream. Of course, the stream was heavily concentrated with its own energy and Tryjo found that moving energy from an area of lesser concentration to that of a higher concentration was quite the challenge. Nonetheless, Tryjo methodically transferred small bits of energy contained within his body back into the stream. The overall process took a great deal longer than the downloading of energy from the stream, but Tryjo did not mind the process, as it gave him time to reflect on his accomplishment and to spend time in commune with the Force itself. Having emptied his body of predominately all of the infused Force energy, Tryjo disconnected himself from his constructed stream of energy. Slowing allowing the stream to expand, Tryjo began to allow the individual threads contained within to escape to find their own natural flow once again. It was comforting to know that even though he had manipulated the Force in such a way, it would always return to its natural state of existence. Once the constructed stream was no more, Tryjo turned his attention to the spiraling band of energy that made up the sphere’s outer edge. Commanding it to be released from the defined flowing pattern, Tryjo allowed it to return to its natural state of existence as well.

With the external streams being returned to their natural state, Tryjo began to pull the conduits of energy from his body. Taking great care not to damage himself physically, Tryjo gingerly exhumed each thread and released it to find its own natural place within the environment. Finally, Tryjo realigned his Force aura to reflect a more natural state of existence; allowing it to drape around his body rather than being taunt against his skin. All in all, the process had taken quite some time, but Tryjo cheerfully accepted this minor hindrance known as time. For to the Force, time meant nothing, and as Tryjo was an adept student of the Force, time was definitely on his side.

OOC: This thread is Tryjo’s first personal encounter with the Force, and thus is meant to satisfy the requirements for Force Sensitivity and his training in Sense 1. It should be noted that these are past events.

IC: Being dressed in traditional meditative robes, Tryjo sat motionless, his legs tucked neatly beneath him, in the center of a barren circular room. Shadows danced along the walls of the room, as the only ambient light came from a lone candle that sat directly in front of his position. Tryjo rested his arms in his lap with his head slightly bowed and his eyes covered to prevent any outside visual stimuli. Being recently introduced to the mystical power known as the Force, there Tryjo sat in an attempt to finally hear its elusive whisper.

Tryjo’s mind was ablaze with thoughts and images, but alas, they were of his own concoction. He had yet to distinguish between the voices of his mind and the subtle, yet ever present, communiqués of the Force. A small bead of sweat slid down Tryjo’s cheek as the heat resonated from his body due to his muscles being taunt from attempting to force the stray thoughts out of his mind. As moment after moment passed away, Tryjo continued to fervently concentrate on being able to interact with the energy field around him until – collapse.

The stressors of mental concentration and physical anguish had taken their toll on Tryjo, and his physical body finally fell victim to their power. Tryjo removed the wrap that was covering his eyes and as he gazed at the tiny yellow flickering flame of the candle that lay before him, Tryjo reached out his hand and extinguished the flame by pinching the wick between his thumb and index finger. A slight smirk came across the face of Tryjo as he began to realize the symbolism between the tiny flame and himself; both existing at the will and pleasure of a higher Force.

Tryjo slowly stood to his feet, even though his legs were still slightly cramped due to their position beneath his body during his meditation. He was disheartened by his failure to connect to the Force, but Tryjo’s will could not be broken easily. He strode out of the mediation chamber and made his way down a narrow hallway that exited to an outer garden. Tryjo squinted his eyes as he made his way to the center of the garden where a small stone bench waited upon his arrival; the midday sun was shining brightly in the sky. Taking a seat on the bench, Tryjo’s eyes were filled with the beauty that surrounded him in the garden.

A breeze began to flow through the garden, carrying pollen from the flowers along with it on its journey. Tryjo watched as the pollen swirled and flowed along, interacting with everything it touched, as it was being carried by wind. Stretching out his hand, he could feel the wind flowing through and around his fingers. Tryjo twisted and turned his hand as he watched bits of pollen began to collect on his hand.

Revelation!

The outside world slowly faded to nothing more than a blur as Tryjo’s mind eye opened for the first time. It was an exhilarating experience as Tryjo began to feel the subtleness of the Force around him; its ebb and flow pulsating through and around him. That faint whisper that Tryjo had been searching for in the stillness of the small meditation chamber was now replaced by a roar in the vastness of the open garden. Each piece of the puzzle suddenly started to connect, from the pollen carried by the wind to the soil that produced the initial flower.

Tryjo’s visual and auditory senses began to slowly return, but he now saw and heard the world in a way that was far beyond what his physical body could provide. Even though his physical eyes were open and taking in light particles which allowed him to see, Tryjo could readily determine that he was not truly seeing the world as he had known it. Deciding to keep his eyes closed for a while longer, Tryjo continued to focus on the roar to which he was now listening.

The Force was not something that hid in the shadows of small cramped rooms, nor was it something that required intense mediation and mental conditioning to be able to discern. It was ever present, flowing, living, and guiding Tryjo; he had just never unlocked his potential for listening prior to this day. As previously stated, the raw energy of the Force was nothing but a roar to Tryjo, but as he continued to feel its presence around him, he began to discern subtle differences in its harmonics. As the Force flowed through and around him, it carried with it knowledge and power, hope and despair, light and darkness.

As Tryjo hastened to soak in the intoxicating presence of the Force, he began to liken it to that of a spider’s web that was woven throughout the universe; everything being connected. Any single thread that was disturbed would resonate through the entire web, or in this case the Force. However, Tryjo’s sense of the Force was not strong enough to be able to discern these disturbances, but it was obvious that they existed. For the next several moments, Tryjo would attempt to center his mind as if he were at the center of the web, but his attempts were in vain; the Force would not yet reveal its secrets to Tryjo.

Even though Tryjo could now hear the Force speaking to him, it was still mostly raw energy, wild and uncontrollable. He knew that many a day lie ahead of training and meditation, but now the possibilities were evidently endless. Tryjo would now have to start connecting himself to more threads of the web, and expanding his sense of the distinctiveness of the Force. As the sun continued on its track across the sky, Tryjo continued to sit on the bench in the garden, attempting to further his connection to this web of endless possibilities.

OOC: Between these two sections there were posts made by fellow Shadows. They have been omitted.

IC: “I am glad that you seem to be progressing so well, is there anything I can help you with?”

Being satisfied with Quinton’s response about whom the other man was, Tryjo brushed off his appearance with ease; more especially due to his excitement over his connection to the Force. Besides, if Tryjo could glean any additional training from Quinton, this would be a prime opportunity to do just so, as his mind was a fury of synaptic firings communicating the Force’s presence to his physical senses.

“I can feel the Force around me; pulsating, flowing. However, I can only describe it as raw, untapped energy; its like listening to the roar of a waterfall. How do I focus on listening for the individual drops of water within the torrent of the overflowing river?”

“You just do,” remarked Quinton. “Liken it to any alien dialect in which you attempt to become fluent. How do you do this? You train, you train, you train. It can be said that truly great skills are never achieved, they are only constantly improved upon.” Quinton ripped a small piece of brown cloth from his robe and handed it to Tryjo. “Take this and cover your eyes. Then follow that trail through the brush using your ability to sense the Force; let it guide you on your journey.” With that said, Quinton turned and exited the small garden, leaving Tryjo there holding his destiny.

Tryjo could not use the Force to observe his surroundings, as he was not skilled in this talent, but instead he would attempt to use his sense of the Force to allow it to direct him through the brush safely. He took the piece of cloth and wrapped it securely around his eyes, not allowing any light to permeate through. The initial step would be the most difficult, as delving into unexplored areas where one lacks experience can be quite the daunting task, but Tryjo possessed something that would trump his fear; faith.

Walking along the winding, narrow path, Tryjo could sense the pull of the Force; it was leading him along on his journey to cognizing his ability to sense its presence within him. Tryjo brushed the leaves and branches of small bushes as he stretched out his arms in an attempt to grab hold of the flowing force energy, but he failed of course due to the intangible aspect of the Force’s very nature. Odd as it was, Tryjo could sense the Force guiding him along the trail as if it were leading him along the path of least resistance.

Tryjo could hear the Force gliding over the smooth ground that lay before him; he could feel the Force as it deviated between thorn and thistle; he could see the Force as it emulated from the evergreen and hardwood trees. Thus, Tryjo would find that his pace quickened as he became more accustomed to the Force energy directing him as if he were following a well designed map. Of course, it can be said that pride cometh before destruction – or the fall.

Tryjo felt his lead foot give way, and he soon found himself stumbling, and then falling, and then rolling down a steep embankment; not stopping until he reached the murky bottom of the gully. His body hit the soft, clay bottom of the ravine with a thud, and it took a moment for the reality of the situation to catch up with his current position. The pool of pride that had built up inside of Tryjo was now full of contempt; contempt for the very thing that he was attempting to achieve. In an instant, Tryjo grasp for the cloth covering his eyes to rip it off as one would rip a cancerous growth from the body. But, his hand was stayed and in its stead, Tryjo thrust a closed fist into the muddy soil.

As Tryjo attempted to stand in the marshy muck at the bottom of the ravine, he could sense that the flow of the Force had changed. It was much different than when he was in the garden; it seemed as if the Force was almost trying to seduce him now. The roar of the raw Force energy was replaced by something much more tantalizing it seemed; it was replaced by the fury of emotions that sparked the darker aspects of Force energy. Without totally giving into the negative emotions that were filling Tryjo’s mind, he succumbed to the darker Force energy and allowed it to guide him up and out of the ravine to which he fell victim.

Once Tryjo had made his way back to the predefined path, he felt that the danger had passed, and he took a moment to stop and center his being. He had sensed the pull of the dark Force energy and how seductive it could be when needed or called upon. Now that his emotional status had returned to its more homeostatic state, Tryjo found that the Force energy seemed to flow as it did when he was in the garden. He could still not distinguish the drops of water in the river, but Tryjo’s overall sense of the Force energy around him was growing stronger. He could feel the connection between the Force and his body growing stronger with each step he took.

The path would eventually lead Tryjo back to the Temple grounds, but it would take several hours before he would arrive back to the confines of his home. During this time, Tryjo would continue to delve deeper into the connection between his conscious being and the Force energy, trying to link his very mind to operate in tandem with the Force. He would meditate on how the energy of the Force differed between dark and light, and how his emotional state had prompted this change in energy. All in all, Tryjo would view his walk a success, but he knew that he never master the skill of listening to the Force. He would only strive to continue to improve upon it.

OOC: The purpose of this thread is to train Tryjo in Force Sense Level 2. It should be noted that these are past events.

IC: Tryjo sat comfortably in the cockpit of his Naboo Starfighter, while only mere meters away, the ravages of open space played out before him as he looked on through transparisteel windows. It was a dark and desolate place – well within the Outer Rim area, but to Tryjo, this place represented challenge and growth. For within the asteroid field that spread across this sector of space, an object awaited to be discovered. Pray tell, what is the object of Tryjo’s quest? A simple mold made by a long forgotten clan of Force users; a mold for a Force Amulet. The mold for the amulet had been lost for many millennia, but through many meditative sessions, Quinton had derived its location and had sent Tryjo to recover it. The only problem being that the peculiar Force energy radiated by the mold made it difficult to trace, and not to mention that it was broken into three separate pieces, but Tryjo was prepared to face the challenge and would not return to the Temple without the objective.

Quinton was able to discern the general area of the three mold pieces, but due in large to various reasons, he could not pinpoint their exact locations. Thus, Tryjo looked out upon the asteroid field and realized just how daunting of a task he actually was facing. But, due to his close proximity to the actual pieces of the mold, Tryjo would use his Force abilities to better sense their exact locations and then send in a recovery droid for their retrieval. Tryjo rose from the cockpit and slowly made his way to a lounging area just aft of the main control room. The lounge had been previously modified to serve as a meditation chamber of sorts, and would indeed serve for this purpose during this mission. Before becoming engrossed with the task at hand however, Tryjo sent a brief message back to the Temple stating his arrival at the destined waypoint and that he was about to begin the retrieval process.

With the formalities taken care of, Tryjo focused his attention back toward preparing for the search ahead. As he made his way toward his meditative cushion, nothing more than an old blanket, Tryjo began to clear his mind of stray thoughts and images. Like closing a series of doors, Tryjo methodically blocked out these hindrances before they could interfere with the search. Kneeling down onto the cushion, Tryjo neatly tucked his legs beneath him and rested his arms on his upper thighs. He continued by closing his eyes and beginning a ritualistic breathing exercise to further send himself into a meditative state of relaxation. With each successive breath, Tryjo slowed his physiological process and in turned heightened his mental awareness toward his connection to the Force. His body now operating on a level that neared a catatonic state, Tryjo felt that he was ready to thrust his senses outward in search of the objects.

Sensing the Force energy around him, Tryjo began to listen to its subtle whisper; feel its caress upon his skin; discern its knowledge about the outside environment. The information he perceived was very limited however, and for a more accurate search, Tryjo would have to push his senses further than he had ever previously done before. Feeling the natural flow of the Force, Tryjo attached his mind’s eye to a passing current within the very fabric of the Force itself. As the energy field moved away from Tryjo, it carried with it his very consciousness, or the sensing portion of his consciousness anyway. As the current of Force energy breeched the hull of the ship, Tryjo almost lost his connection to it due to the sheer amount of concentration that was now required to keep his senses in tandem with the overwhelming power of the Force itself. But, with staunch determination, Tryjo reaffirmed his focus and held fast to the ever moving Force current.

As the Force energy moved away from the ship, Tryjo began to perceive sensations about everything that the wave came into contact with. His first sensation was the intense cold that existed in the depths of the vacuum of deep space. Not having a nearby star to produce light and heat, the temperature was extremely frigid and would most likely snap freeze any material that was not well insulated. The vacuum of space was another strange and unusual sensation to Tryjo’s already stretched senses. Not having been privy to more advanced training in deep space, Tryjo had never experienced the void as he was now, and it was almost drawing his attention away from the task at hand. Nonetheless, he would take this opportunity to hone his abilities, somewhat, while concurrently searching for the pieces of the mold.

Moving further away from his physical body, Tryjo sense was soaking in the valuable information contained within the asteroid field; telemetry, orbits, size, and shape. Being somewhat curious as to the actual asteroids themselves, Tryjo allowed his senses to slip along a passing Force current and collide with an asteroid. In doing so, he was able to discern a wealth of information about the free-floating rock. As the Force skimmed over the surface of the asteroid, Tryjo sensed that it was covered with carbon dust; a dust so black that the rock itself blended into the darkness of space. It was also an oddly shaped rock, being oblong with a small portion jutting out on one end making it more bulky than the other. The asteroid also appeared to be pockmarked by the impact of various other celestial bodies, or this could simply be from age and disintegration. The Force not only flowed over the asteroid, it flowed through it as well. Delving down past the black, scarred surface of the mountainous rock, Tryjo peered into its very composition. One of the first components that Tryjo encountered as he intruded his abilities upon the rock was water; tiny molecules of frozen water littered the interior of the rock, most likely instilled there since the dawn of time itself. Pushing past the water molecules, Tryjo encountered a vast amount silicone, sulfur, and other natural occurring elements. For some strange reason, he was almost surprised to find common elements in the rock, but he quickly dismissed the emotion as it was logical after all.

Tryjo continued to allow his senses to impede upon the asteroid when he suddenly found them being pulled, if by force, away from the rock. This caught Tryjo off guard and as he attempted to realign his senses within the Force energy wave to which they were attached, he quickly realized that he was being negated. Keeping his emotions in balance, Tryjo allowed his mind to continue to follow the wave of energy as it sped across the asteroid field. Tryjo soon began to sense something strange within the fabric of the Force energy wave, a power that was not of this place. A piece of the mold perhaps! Like a magnet, Tryjo senses followed the flow of energy until it suddenly stopped. Tryjo could feel the weight and power of something pressing down upon the fabric of the Force. It was an odd sensation, but Tryjo made note of its distinct resonance, as this must be part of the mold. And, if this was part of the mold, then the other pieces would most likely resonate within the Force in the same fashion. Using his senses to reach out to the various other Force currents in the area of the mold piece, Tryjo made a mental waypoint for later retrieval of the object.

Now that Tryjo had a general guide to follow, he began to focus his attention on breaking free from the current energy wave and attaching his senses to another. This would prove to be a challenge, as Tryjo did not want to lose his grip on the Force and allow his senses to become lost in the vastness of open space. But, following the spider’s web of Force threads, Tryjo was slowly able to transition his senses away from the draw of the mold piece in order to find the remaining two. Now knowing the resonance in which the pieces were displaying, Tryjo began to beckon upon the Force to reveal the other two mold pieces. The Force was not readily willing to reveal their location however, and Tryjo would have to continue to search throughout the vastness of the asteroid field. With continued practice, Tryjo quickly began to be able to allow his senses to jump from one Force thread to the next; allowing his search to gain speed. As Tryjo jumped from thread to thread, he pressed his senses outward trying to feel any subtle vibration that matched the resonance of the first mold piece. The search seemed to continue for quite a while when Tryjo sensed a slight change in the pattern of the Force around his current search location. As he command his senses to hold fast to their current position, he began to attempt to interpret the gentle waves of energy that passed. Like ripples in a small pond, Tryjo sensed the disturbance and began to seek out its epicenter. Following wave after wave of energy, Tryjo followed the ripples back to the source. This piece of the mold did not display the intense draw upon the Force as the fist part did, but Tryjo made note of its location and continued his search.

The finial piece of the mold proved to be quite elusive, as Tryjo spent the next several hours in a futile attempt to try and locate it. He was quite disheartened, as with each passing hour, the feeling of not being able to find the final piece was becoming a reality. The feelings of eminent failure coupled with mental fatigue encouraged Tryjo to abandon his search for now and recover the two pieces that he knew he could. Slowly rising from his meditative cushion, Tryjo made his way to the ship’s tiny cargo hold and prepared the retrieval droid. Programming the astronavigation chip with the coordinates of the two pieces, Tryjo sent the droid forward. As he watched it disappear from view, Tryjo retired back to the lounge to rest and wait for the droids return. As quickly as Tryjo dozed off to sleep, it seemed that the droid had returned. In reality, a number of hours had passed, but due to Tryjo’s fatigue, he had slept the entire time the droid had been gone. As the continuous beeping alerted him to the droids return, Tryjo quickly rose from a cushioned seating unit and made his way back to the cargo hold. A sparkle could be seen in Tryjo’s eyes as he approached the droid in anticipation of taking hold of the ancient amulet mold, even though he was still one shy of the completed whole.

Tryjo placed the pieces of metal upon a desk before him, and turned on an overhead light to get a better view of the pieces of the mold. The two pieces were not very remarkable, at least not very remarkable to the physical senses. Looking at the two objects through the mystical power of the Force however, showed a peculiar resonance that Tryjo had never seen before. Tryjo placed his hands on the two metal pieces and began to push his senses outward, seeking fervently to better understand their true nature. A curious sensation overcame him, and strange images began to fill his mind; His eyes clouded over, his breathing increased tenfold, his mental activity became so intense that he lost the very will to think for himself. It was as if the mold began to exert its will upon Tryjo, but it was not the mold; it was the initial makers of the mold who imbued it with Force energy. If not for the muscles in Tryjo’s legs giving way, forcing him to drop to the floor and breaking the connection between his hands and the metal pieces, it is unknown what the outcome of the incident would have been. Needless to say, Tryjo was dazed and confused by what transpired, and as he looked upon his hands, there were a series of strange marking that appeared on his palms. Stumbling to his feet, Tryjo looked upon the metal pieces to see if he could see the same marking upon the surface of the metal; he could not. Through some strange power, the metal pieces had scorched these markings upon Tryjo’s hands.

Tryjo decided to end the mission without recovering the finial piece of the mold and return to the temple. His own lack of proper training and the incident that had left his hands scarred with unknown markings prompted him to conclude this, and he only hoped that Quinton would understand. Having placed the metal pieces in a bag and secured them in the rear of the ship, Tryjo entered his destination into the navigation computer. In short order, the hyperspace route was calculated and the ship was traveling through the void somewhere between space and time. The trip back was uneventful, and this concerned Tryjo a bit. What repercussions would come from his interaction with the amulet mold pieces? What did the strange markings on the palms of his hands mean? Perhaps Quinton would be able to shed some light upon this mystery, but Tryjo was speculative at best.

Having landed back at the Temple successfully, Tryjo now found himself walking briskly toward Quinton’s chambers. His heart pounded within his chest cavity as he wondered how Quinton was going to react to hearing the news of his failure. Not only his failure, but his interaction with the amulet mold itself. Would this fusing of his Force energy with that of the mold disrupt its power?

“Come.” Quinton’s voice resonated with a tone that only indicated his knowledge of the events that had transpired. Tryjo strode toward Quinton and placed the two bags before him. “I was only able to retrieve two of the three pieces of the mold.” Tryjo’s voice was low, as he spoke with a diminutive tone. “And why is this, Tryjo? Why have you only returned with two parts of the whole when there are three in total?” Quinton’s words tore through Tryjo like that of a Sith sword, but he had to answer. “These were the only two pieces that I could find, Quinton. The other was elusive, and after I touched these two…” Quinton raised his hand and motioned for Tryjo to cease his explaining. A feeling of impending doom overcame Tryjo as he expected the worst from his Master. This feeling was short lived however, as a familiar feeling began to creep upon Tryjo. It was the same sense that the initial two pieces of the mold thrust upon Tryjo in the Outer Rim! As Tryjo allowed his senses to follow the feeling, he quickly discovered that Quinton was pointing to the finial piece of the mold. “But, why?” A bewildered Tryjo looked upon Quinton as the words slipped from his mouth.

“You have great potential Tryjo, but we must all realize our limits. You have shown that you have realized your own personal limits by returning to the Temple with only two of the three pieces. For this, I congratulate you. Many students would have remained and continued their futile attempt at searching for something that was not even there.”

Tryjo understood the purpose behind this exercise, but he was still somewhat perplexed by his interaction with the two existing metal pieces; the images that filled his head, the markings that were now embedded upon his palms. As he was about to ask Quinton about this phenomenon, he was interrupted once again by his Master.

“Now, you should return to your sleep chamber and rest. Come next morning, I will have another challenge for you.” A hint of a smile crept upon Quinton’s face as he said these words, but as quickly as it appeared, it vanished. Raising his hand, Quinton motioned Tryjo away, but this is when Tryjo caught a glimpse of something that would tie the entire sequence of events together. For upon the palm of Quinton’s hand was the very same markings that Tryjo now possessed upon his own. Only nodding in submission of his Master’s orders, Tryjo quietly dismissed himself from Quinton’s presence and retired to his sleep chambers from some well deserved rest.

OOC: The purpose of this thread is to train Tryjo in Force Sense Level 3. It should be noted that these are past events.

The YT-2400 Specter steadily approached the upper atmosphere of Fondor under the power of its sublight engines, but as soon as the freighter was clear of the planet’s gravity well, it quickly jumped to hyperspace. Watching the stars turn to starlines as the Specter made the jump to hyperspace was Tryjo; being seated in the ship’s copilot chair. Seated in the ship’s pilot chair was Tryjo’s trusted friend, Bosch. Bosch was an accomplished scout that had accompanied Tryjo on various adventures over the past several years. Even though he was getting up in age, Bosch could still hold his own in a fight, and he would readily boast that he could still shoot the wings off of a carrion fly at a hundred paces. Twisting in his chair, Tryjo was still trying to get adjusted to the newness of the vessel that he and Bosch had only recently acquired. Having done exceptionally well on several recent paid supply runs, Tryjo and Bosch were able to buy the YT-2400 outright from one of Bosch’s smuggling acquaintances.

”I don’t know if we’ll ever find all the hidden compartments Calon had on this bucket.” Bosch snorted as he fiddled with the nav computer. ”But I can say one thing…” Bosh paused and gave a crooked smile. ”What she lacks in looks, she more than makes up for in fire power. Calon outfitted her with a set of quad-laser cannons, one ion cannon, and two plasma torpedo tubes.” Tryjo threw Bosch a sideways glance, the former not as enthralled by the ship’s armaments as his comrade. ”I’m sure she’s a fine ship. How long till Aleen?” Glancing at the navigation board to get the calculated travel time, Bosch grimaced at Tryjo’s lack of enthusiasm as compared to his own. ”Looks like we have bout seven hours.” Getting to his feet, Tryjo headed out of the cockpit. ”I’ll be meditating in the back if you need me.” Tryjo remarked, looking back over his shoulder as he stepped through the cockpit doorway.

Finding a comfortable position on a modular seating unit in the rear of the Specter, Tryjo rubbed his hand across the Corellian leather that Calon had the unit reupholstered with. Tryjo smiled and slowly shook his head, marveling at the constant reminders of how vain the smuggler’s world can be sometimes. Nonetheless, Tryjo began to run through various mind-calming exercises in an effort to clear his thoughts of such trifle matters. The air was crisp, partly due to the new air scrubbers that had recently been installed on the ship, and partly due to Tryjo’s subtly enhanced senses as he calmed his mind and focused on his present whereabouts. Sensing the Force and its interaction with his mind and body, Tryjo immersed himself within its comforting tendrils, allowing the mystical energy to guide his thoughts and sooth his body of tension. It didn’t take long for Tryjo to find his balance within the current environment of the ship, and after a few moments of total serenity, he opened his senses to the Force.

Over many hours of quiet meditation, Tryjo had slowly begun to further his understanding of how he could not only sense his surroundings, or sentient beings thoughts and emotions, but events too – past, present, and future. Although, being able to decipher the meanings of events that were sensed via the Force was an entirely different challenge altogether, and Tryjo knew that a lifetime of patient study might not reveal the answers he sought. But, as studious student of the Force, Tryjo would not be swayed by such thoughts and he would continue to tweak his techniques.

There, Tryjo thought as he could feel Bosch’s presence at the helm of the ship. Allowing the Force to direct his senses as it may, Tryjo did not intend to control its path in any particular direction, but instead just listened as his mind interpreted the feedback. Touching on Bosch’s mind, Tryjo got a sense of the man’s joy from their newest possession, the Specter. It was a pleasant feeling, but like a turbulent river, the Force quickly flowed onward; leaving Bosch to his private thoughts. A cool sensation next imprinted itself upon Tryjo’s mind; cool, hard, smooth – the ship’s hull. Yes, the Force could permeate all things, even the hull of the YT-2400 that Tryjo now called his own. Not a blemish or a hairline fracture, Tryjo whispered in his mind as the Force remitted the information back to him about the small cross-section that it had just passed through. And then there was nothing; the vacuum of empty space. However, Tryjo knew that there was never nothing when it came to the Force, and with a bit more concerted concentration, Tryjo began to sense the various bits of knowledge that the Force was trying to bestow upon him – particles of dust, star drive emission gas, echoes from prior Force sensitives that traveled through the area, danger…

As quickly as he could manage, Tryjo drew his consciousness back to the physical reality of the modular seating unit aboard the Specter. Clawing for the comlink that was tucked behind his belt, Tryjo thumbed it on. ”Bosch, are there any alerts?” Bosch must have heard the exasperation in Tryjo’s voice, because his own came back with a hint of tightness. ”All systems show green. What’s wrong?” Tryjo had full faith in his abilities, and he knew that especially now with the Shadows in turmoil, he should not ignore the slightest disturbance within the Force. ”I’m not exactly sure, but I think…I know we need to come out of hyperspace.” Getting to his feet now, Tryjo headed toward the cockpit. ”If you say so.” Tryjo was just dropping into the copilot’s chair as Bosch pushed forward on the hyperspace levers and brought the ship back to real space. Nothing. There was nothing there; no enemy, no danger, not the slightest sign of trouble from without or within. Tryjo could feel Bosch’s eyes on him, and he was searching not only his mind, but his feelings for an answer. ”Perhaps it was a forewarning for Aleen; I just don’t know. Is there any planet nearby where we can land and send inquires?” Bosch swung his chair toward the navigational computer and pulled up the current system’s display. ”Atzerri. Looks like we’ll be going to Atzerri,” Bosch said with a sly grin. ”Should I be worried?” Tryjo began to wonder if the Force hadn’t been playing a cruel joke on him. ”Nah, Atzerri is alright. It’s just I’ve been looking for some certain supplies, and on Atzerri, everything can be bought for the right price.” Tryjo shook his head and gave a wry smile, but they were here for a reason. And, with any luck, the Force would soon reveal that reason to them.

The Trader’s Plaza, a labyrinth of shops that greeted all visiting and potential customers of Atzerri, stretched out before Tryjo and Bosch as they exited the Talos Spaceport. Each individual shop seemed to have its own series of hypnotic lights, signs, and droid barkers strategically positioned to entice passersby into their awaiting clutches. This sight was such a stark contrast to the marshy forests that Tryjo observed as the Specter made its approach into Talon; utter manmade chaos bound by nature’s balanced peace. ”I hope you have a firm hold on your credits,” Tryjo said to Bosch, flicking his own money pouch with his fingers. ”You must be forget’n who your deal’n with. I’ve been in this game since most of these businessmen were knee high to a Jawa.” Bosch did have a point, and Tryjo had seen him make deals that a Hutt would admire. ”Yeah, I suppose that I shouldn’t have under estimated your bargaining abilities. Do I want to know what it is your looking for?” The words just slipped out of his mouth when Tryjo spoke back up, not giving Bosch the opportunity to answer. ”On second thought, I’d probably be better off not knowing for now.” Bosch gave Tryjo an innocent look and shrugged his shoulders. ”Don’t worry bout it…trust me.” Tryjo did indeed trust Bosch, and he simply grinned and gave a subtle nod in response to those words. Taking out a Havao Cigarra, Bosch lit the end and took a few long puffs before abruptly stopping. ”Aight, I’ll call you on the comm when I get the merchandise. May take me a while – got some fairly large equipment I’m eyeing, but it shouldn’t take no more than a few hours. That give you enough time to make those inquiries?” Tryjo thought for a few seconds about the implications of sending out inquiries; if Gantoris somehow found out. ”I’m not entirely sure that that is what I need to do. If I run into any trouble, I’ll call, but until then I think I’ll just wonder around a bit.” Bosch eyed Tryjo for a moment, but then reluctantly agreed with a nonverbal gesture. With a flick of his own credit pouch, Bosch gave a crooked smile, turned, and headed off into the mass of shops.

For the next few moments, Tryjo began to realize just how many different alien species were present in the Trader’s Plaza. From the looks of the visible crowd, a delegate could be seen from most of the known systems in the region – and beyond. Tryjo had many opportunities to touch upon the minds of humans, but he rarely had the chance to focus on such large groups of alien minds. Not wishing to pry into their personal or intimate thoughts, Tryjo only wished to better understand the complexities of differing minds. Allowing his senses to reach out and find the ever present Force, Tryjo stretched out with his own mind’s eye and began to briefly examine the differing patters of alien thought. The sensations were almost too chaotic to initially understand; all the various alien minds being in such close proximity of each other. Narrowing his eyes, Tryjo further reached out to the Force and attempted to try and sense the similarities between each of the differing minds he encountered. Despite the cultural, physiological, and psychological differences between the groups of alien beings, Tryjo did find similarities amongst the eclectic group of patrons. These similarities, Tryjo thought, must be an innate function of the Force – it binds all things in the galaxy doesn’t it. But, these similarities would not go very far in helping Tryjo to further understand how to separate the differing alien beings. With several slow, methodical breaths of humid air, Tryjo reaffirmed his attunement to the Force and once again set out to skim the minds around him.

The Force readily hearkened to Tryjo’s commands, but controlling the Force was entirely different from being able to sense its subtle whispers and instructions. With a deathly quiet mind, Tryjo zealously listened as the Force flowed between his own mind and the minds of those around him; seeking discernment amid the din of alien thought processes. Without any frame of reference, Tryjo had little hope of being able to determine what is was – the feelings he was sensing from the sundry minds. However, there were characteristics associated with these alien feelings, and this gave Tryjo the opportunity to began assigning markers to each of them. He might not be able to tell if one set of aliens were emotionally upset, but he would be able to sunder the varied feelings into groups depending on species. Mind by mind, Tryjo set about relating the characteristics of each sect of aliens, followed by another, followed by another. The challenge, of course, would be able to remember those subtle markers the next time he sensed an alien mind, and then being able to identify the species based upon the marker. Nonetheless, Tryjo viewed himself as forever a student of the Force; taking every opportunity to further advance his own personal knowledge within that mystical realm.

With his senses still keenly attuned to the minds of the alien beings around him, Tryjo began to feel a subtle vibration within the Force. Shifting his concentration away from the process of identifying and marking the characteristics of alien thought patterns, Tryjo attempted to identify what exactly it was that he was sensing. Then, as if being struck with an incendiary round from an Imperial Slugthrower, the sensation burned itself into Tryjo’s mind – danger. The same feeling that Tryjo had felt aboard the ship while he and Bosch were traveling through hyperspace was present once again; stronger, clearer, and darker. Shifting his eyes back and forth, quickly and thoroughly scanning his entire field of view, Tryjo tried to match the source of the metaphysical sensation with his physical senses. But, after several repeated passes over the immediate area, Tryjo could not seem to identify any inherent source of impending danger. However, the sensations that Tryjo were feeling were evolving beyond subtle vibrations within the Force; they were becoming lucid. With vigor, Tryjo sought to break through the last of the mental barriers that seemed to hinder his understanding, and as if awaking from a great sleep, the shroud was pulled away; his mind being able to receive unrestricted access to the flow of the Force. The circle now complete, Tryjo was able to properly sense what the Force was trying so fervently to reveal to him – murderous intent.

Starting as a brisk walk, this turned to a slow jog, which quickly turned to a fast run, Tryjo set out, heeding the Force’s guidance and using it as a compass. Weaving his way through the mass of alien bodies, shops, and eventually marsh, Tryjo allowed the Force to guide him to an area just outside of the Plaza’s urban environment. Most of the Atzerri landscape being marshy outside of the commercial centers, Tryjo wondered what peril could be lurking in such a place. His wonderment did not have to last long, for through a clearing up ahead of him, Tryjo spied a small group of sentient beings. Being as stealthy as his field boots would allow, Tryjo edged his way closer to the clearing, instinctively tapping the hilt of his lightsaber as he moved. Still unbeknownst, Tryjo sent forth tendrils of Force energy in an attempt to sense what little information he could from the cluster of men. There were two humans and a Rodian; the human’s minds tainted with evil intentions, the Rodian’s mind was an enigma. But, there was a fourth mind present, and Tryjo craned his neck in an attempt to view the body that encapsulated this troubled mind. The fourth person was crouched in a kneeling position, prostrating himself to the other three more aggressive men. He appeared to be human, young, and a male. His emotional state, as sensed by Tryjo, was that of fear, combined with a high level of anxiety. Knowing that the Force had led him here for a reason, Tryjo started to step from his cover and into the clearing, but abruptly stopped as the Rodian brandished a blaster pistol.

Not wishing to risk innocent lives by charging in with his lightsaber ignited, Tryjo sought guidance from the Force. A half second later, the Rodian’s blaster pistol was snatched from his grubby hand and hurled into the nearby marsh, making a distinctive splashing sound as it impacted with the murky water. Seizing upon this opportunity to act, Tryjo leapt into the clearing as the Rodian and his comrades were still reeling over the apparent betrayal of the weapon. ”Stand down,” came Tryjo’s voice, subsequently followed by the snap-hiss from the activation of his light weapon. The two human males that accompanied the Rodian, being of lesser fortitude, immediately ran from the clearing upon seeing the glistening blade of the saber. However, the Rodian stood his ground, his insectoid eyes burning deep into Tryjo. For the moment, Tryjo stood silently sensing his surroundings, following the sensations of the fleeing men as they continued away from the area. The Rodian continued his gaze toward Tryjo, not speaking a word, or moving in the slightest. The situation was beginning to turn awkward, and try as he might, Tryjo could not get a clear sense of the Rodian’s mind. There were sensations there, but with nothing to base these feelings on, Tryjo could not get an accurate account of the alien’s state. The silence was finally broken by the rustling of garments and dirt as the young man that had been crouched on the ground finally arose. ”I guess this means that you won’t be getting your credits today after all, Dolno,” the young man snapped. Tryjo shot the boy a stern look that quickly silenced him. ”Is that what this is about, credits?” Tryjo began to wonder why in the name of Ackbar’s Aunt did the Force lead him into the middle of a debt collection. ”Not credits, Zabrak, code,” the Rodian finally hissed. But, before Tryjo could speak up, the young boy interjected. ”How many times do I have to tell you that I didn’t write the code.” Shutting down his weapon, Tryjo shushed the young man once again.

Looking back to the Rodian, Tryjo was now too involved to simply dismiss the two beings without some type of resolution being handed down. ”Tell me, Dolno, what is this code you speak of?” The Rodian’s snout twitched. ”For the Muunilinst I am employeed. He steal credits using sliced code to break into central bank. They seek code only to fix system from further attack.” Tryjo nodded and then turned to the young man. ”I didn’t steal any credits! The boy’s words were a mixture of emotions – anger, denial, duplicity. Allowing his mind to reach out through the Force, Tryjo began to try and sense what exactly the boy was trying to hide. He did not want to intrude on the young man’s intimate thoughts, but if Tryjo could make a connection by what he sensed on the surface, perhaps he could determine the truth. Nonetheless, Tryjo did sense deception in the boy, but not about the stealing of credits. Listening quietly to the whispers of the Force as they traveled back and forth between his mind and that of the boy’s, Tryjo diligently worked at trying to sense the path he needed to traverse. ”So, if you didn’t steal the credits, then where are they?” Tryjo locked eyes with the boy, all the while keeping his senses on alert. ”The credits are still there,” the boy said with a sigh. ”They are just hidden within an account that is tied to a special credit chip.” The boy’s head was now hanging low. ”So, you didn’t technically steal the credits; fair enough. But, what about the slicing and this chip?” The boy reached into his trouser pocket and withdrew a small rectangular chip, which Tryjo took hold of and examined. Taking one last probe into the boy’s mind, Tryjo could sense that the young man was no longer plagued by his guilty emotions.

”I believe this is yours, Dolon,” Tryjo said as he tossed the chip over to the Rodian. ”And, take this as well for the loss of your blaster.” Tryjo plucked his credit pouch from his belt and tossed it over to the Rodian as well. ”For now. Muunilinst will have finial say.” Tryjo nodded an acknowledgement to the Rodian as he stashed the loot in his vest and left the clearing. Looking back to the boy, Tryjo let a sigh escape from his lips. ”What’s your name anyway?” Raising his head enough to look in Tryjo’s general direction, the boy spoke. ”Shiine Tunsyn.” Reaching out a hand, Tryjo motioned for the boy to come along. ”Well, this is no place for you, Shiine Tunsyn. No place at all.”

OOC: The purpose of this section of this thread is to serve for the training of the Force power Meditative Trance. It should be noted that these are past events. This apparently is no longer a power, but...

IC: Tryjo would often meditate on the ways of the living Force, but upon searching his true feelings, there appeared to be a gap of sorts – a void that existed between him and the connective properties of Force energy that bound all things. Perhaps he was not truly merging his thoughts and feelings with that of the Force during his meditative sessions, or perhaps he was just not spending enough time during his sessions searching out what he knew was already there. Today, Tryjo would attempt to bridge this gap, connecting his mind to the web of energy that flows through all things.

Nothing was stirring, and everything was very still as Tryjo seated himself upon a grassy area just outside the western wall of the temple. It was just after sunrise, and a slight coating of morning dew still covered the ground where Tryjo would position himself to attempt his meditative trance. The ambient air was quite cool as Tryjo began to inhale and exhale, completely filling and emptying his lungs with each breath. He pulled both legs toward his torso, bending them at the knee, and crossed one over the other, while allowing his hands to rest on his inner thighs, palms down. Straightening his back to a point where he was completely perpendicular with the ground, Tryjo pushed his shoulders back and his chest outward to aid in the process of breathing. With his physical body prepared and in position, it would be time to condition his mental state for the task at hand. Focusing on nothing but his breathing, Tryjo began to clear his mind of stray thoughts and images. With each breath, Tryjo would suppress his consciousness into a deeper and deeper state of total relaxation, focusing on nothing but his connection to the Force energy around him. As Tryjo’s mind continued to cascade inward, he could sense his feelings stretching outward and intertwining with the web of Force energy permeating his body.

As seconds turned into minutes, and minutes into hours, Tryjo’s body began to feel the effects of its physiological limitations. If he could not rectify this predicament, the aches and pains of the muscles holding his body in its meditative position could impede upon his concentration and effectively disrupt his training. Being that Tryjo’s connection to the Force was somewhat enhanced by his present meditative state, he began to focus his concentration on wrapping bands of Force energy around his body to aid in muscular and orthopedic support. Searching out individual threads from the web of Force energy surrounding him, Tryjo methodically wound each one of them around his body; forming a cocoon of energy that would aid and support not only his physical body, but provide a sustained mental connection to the living Force. The process took longer than expected as Tryjo’s control over the Force and how it interacted with his body was still quite limited, but with steadfast determination, he was able to slowly grab each thread of energy and complete his task. With the cocoon of energy successfully in place, Tryjo could comfortably proceed with his meditation without the hindrance of physical limitations or undo mental stimulation.

For the next several hours, Tryjo would continue to meditate on the Force, his place within its realm, and how he would continue to develop his understanding of its mysteries. As night was falling, Quinton interceded upon Tryjo’s training session and brought him back to conscious reality. If it were not for this, it would have been most likely that Tryjo would have remained in his trance for the remainder of the night. Counting his experience as a success, Tryjo gladly broke free from his cocoon, releasing the energy back to the environment, and returned with Quinton to the Temple.
