Bogged Down (Kita, Buggmeister)

[Kita_Ikari]

Glad to leave the bar behind, she enjoyed the silence as they walked off to find the insect humanoid. Her eyes shifted to the Scholar as he brought up her helping him to be expected. "Don't get me wrong, but tell my Master or anyone else in the Sith I'm offering assistance to you, and you WILL regret it." She replied sternly. "It's nothing personal. But since becoming Lord Tormentous's apprentice, I know other Sith are most likely after my current position. And even though it's not entirely set yet til I earn my Sith name and a saber in my hand, I intend to keep myself where I currently stand."

She looked away and frowned. "Also, don't expect help from anyone else in the Sith. It's fight or die. That is just the way it is. Can't trust anyone. Don't trust anyone." Kita nodded. She was happy for Sa'ato on this mission.

She stopped next to the scholar as he picked out the correct ship where the weapons would be. She looked over where he quietly gestured with his shoulders. Silently she followed next to him until he brought up what she was to do for him. "Right." Of course Kita knew she wasn't wanting to kill anybody, but of course she knew Sa'ato was right. They couldn't allow this attack to be traced. So Kita would have to do what she hated the most. To kill.

As her partner waved his hands about in the air distracting the bunch, she approached them as well. She left her lance sheathed, avoiding to carry it in sight. She wanted to avoid seeming like she was about to bring them down. Obviously the bunch were also causing trouble for this insect type alien. But unfortunately for him, it was bad for him too with their arrival.

Kita stood quietly, listening as her partner began talking to the bunch. Now was not the time to attack, she wanted to await for the neti to finish appearing to wanna make a deal with the insect humanoid before making her attack, taking out the pirates in one fell swoop. She remained calm, with a hand on her right hip as she watch Sa'ato and the bug alien converse. She had already caught a glance of the cargo as they approached. Her mind figuring out what she was going to do for them to escape with the weapons.

Sa’ato stared blankly at Kita through his helmet for what felt like several minutes. Then, at last, a guttural, dry laugh echoed out from behind headwear’s blastshield, and one that the Neti had to work hard to repress as the pair drew nearer to their query. “Young Lady”, the academic whispered airily between quickened breaths, “At this point in my life, I’d be very eager to see what you might do to cause me any sort of regret. Still, you may rest easy- I am not out to compete with you or anyone else”.

The professor turned back around as quickly as he had reversed moments prior, and lowered his another tone as the two came on the precipice of the trio’s hearing range, “And for the record, I was not anticipating help or companionship from anyone in this- organization. And I expect it will stay that way. I knew what I was signing on for when I answered your leader’s summons”. Oh yes, Sa’ato knew exactly what he was getting himself into. The risks were innumerable, of course, but the reward, the lure of that lost knowledge, was intoxicating.

Straightening up, the disguised Neti regarded the two humanoids, and their now identifiable Verpine companion with a polite nod. “Greetings Gentlemen”, the academic began with a clear voice, “I hope this-”. Sa’ato paused mid-sentence to glare up at the ambiguous, clouded sky, “Afternoon? Finds you well”. Clearing his throat before continuing, the professor eyed the various crates and potpourri lining the scene before adding, “Word on the wind is you lot have premium hardware in stock. I have a big job coming up, and I’m looking to buy whatever you’re willing to sell”.

[Master Buggie]

Buggie eyed the two newcomers cautiously. The quieter sentient of the two was a Human female with long, flowing blonde hair and a silver jacket that had more than a little mud on it. As Buggie's eyes traveled downward, he noticed the female's boots were muddy and the blade of the vibrolance slung across her back was coated in a drying film of a thick carmine substance, the source of which was likely the pelt that she had flowing out of the pouch on her hip. The sentient that had greeted Buggie and the Ogemites was also covered in a mixture of caked on dirt and blood. Both of them carried a raw, earthy sort of smell, which Buggie had experienced on his way to the spaceport as he had passed through swampy terrain. These two had obviously seen some trouble recently.

Buggie mentally noted each piece of weaponry that the female and her companion were equipped with. They didn't appear to be particularly expensive weapons. You could find a vibrolance in just about any backwater marketplace. Their blaster pistols seemed to be run-of-the-mill surplus gear, which was certainly lethal, but couldn't remotely compare to what Monarch had stored within his shop. Neither of the two wore much in the way of armor. This begged the question to Buggie's observant eye-- just who were these two, and how did they have the credits to purchase black market A280K rifles?

To some extent, Buggie was glad to have them here, since they took the Ogemite's attention off of him. If they could move the rifles, more power to them, since it meant he was off the hook in the eyes of the feather-haired duo. At that moment, Buggie could feel another attack coming on from his sensitivity to this moon's particular environment. He still needed to find himself a drink, and not whatever was being served in the makeshift bar. Real, clean water was the preference, if it could be obtained.

Using the newcomers to his advantage, Buggie excused himself, saying, "It seems you all have plenty to discuss. I'll be on my way, then."

With that, Buggie attempted to slip away from the four other sentients standing outside Monarch's shop. He was certain that the Ogemites would be eager to introduce the newcomers to Monarch and attempt to collect on their finder's fee that way.

[Kita_Ikari]

"Oh im not worried about YOU taking my position. Its obvious you have no desire to take over alongside my Master. It's the rest of the Sith I'm concerned about. And I don't want any of them to know I was helping you. Because apparently helping anybody in the Sith is a sign of weakness." She replied. Kita had made her point. She did like Sa'ato, but she really wanted him to know she liked her deeds unknown within the Sith.

She cocked a brow at him questionably. She wanted to ask him what his reasons were for joining the Sith. But Kita knew that she would have to ask at a later time.

She felt the Bug's gaze observing her and Sa'ato. Lifting her blue gaze, she met his eyes and gave a small smile nodding in acknowledgment of his presence before looking at Sa'ato as he seemed to catch the ogemites attention. Of course Kita knew these weapons weren't going to cost them anything. She knew however they could actually buy them if they wanted too. But that wasn't the Sith way.

She actually felt relieved as the Vermine decided to excuse himself from the situation. Really if Kita could avoid killing one other person today, she would of felt a bit better about hijacking these weapons with the Neti. Really there wasn't anything for her to say. The neti seemed to know what he was doing. She had hoped that the vermine would be out of sight before Sa'ato and her brought down the ogemites.

[Professor Mors]

Sa’ato’s mouth fell open with bewilderment at the insectoid’s motion to depart, and Kita’s utter indifference at his efforts to do so. Unconsciously, the incognito academic balled an annoyed fist as the situation threatened to fall apart. The Verpine had seen the two of them, and the professor’s young associate was hardly as conspicuous as Sa’ato. If the random ruffian left now and talked later on, that would open the possibility for revenge killings and the spectre of a bounty on the pair. That simply would not do.

The Neti’s instincts fired down toward his holstered sidearm, but a searing pain forestalled his movements as a sense of foreboding overtook his mind (Sense Force Disturbance). Something wasn’t right here. The imbalance the professor had detected prior reared up before him once more. Sa’ato knew he was missing something, but what? What variable was awry to cause him such discontent? Clearly there was more to the three individuals than they had let on. Expanding his presence in the Force like a flare, the Neti inclined his head to the side toward Kita. It was a crude signal, but one that he hoped would send a clear message.

At the same time, the disguised academic flooded a concentrated measure of his essence into his left forearm (Alter Flow), snapping his firearm into the air and leveling it toward the Verpine’s torso at a forty-five degree angle. “My informant led me to believe you lot were business partners”, Sa’ato exhaled with aggravation as he kept his eyes trained on the insectoid, “I’m afraid this job of ours is of a very secretive nature, and I can’t have you walking free now that you’ve caught wind of it”. Yes, in all likelihood, the unfortunate arthropod would end up as collateral damage.

But in truth, Sa’ato felt little in the way of sympathy. He would be hard pressed to find any saints on Bogden. Whoever this being was, they knew the risks of coming here, as did the Neti, as did Kita. For now, the professor only hoped that his denouement would allow his partner enough time to dispatch the avian onlookers, before they had a mind to use their product in self-defense.

[Master Buggie]

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Buggie blurted, as he stepped back and raised his hands at chest level to give the near-universal sign that he meant no harm.

The newcomer, whose features were completely concealed from Buggie and the Ogemites, had escalated the situation outside of the shop by suddenly drawing his blaster. To make matters worse, Buggie had detected the slightest flux in Force energy, which indicated to him that he was dealing with at least one other Force user. The extent to which the Force had shifted in its natural flow was minute, which, at the edge of his awareness, spoke to a relatively untrained command the Force in one or both of the sentients facing him. Any further observation was impossible at this point, and Buggie realized he needed to bring this encounter to a close peaceably if at all possible.

"You can't have us walking free?" Buggie repeated, looking around at the spaceport's shopping district for illustration, "Who are we going to tell? There are no authorities here to pursue you. This spaceport can hardly support a sanitary place to drink!"

Buggie had to appeal to the reason of the armed duo standing across from him, and the bare bones spaceport on the bog moon was the easiest avenue to help achieve that. He had to keep talking and make them focus on something other than pulling the trigger of the blaster that the sentient held within his filthy, gloved hand.

Pouring the light side of the Force into his voice, Buggie offered, "Let us go; at the very least, allow the Ogemites to walk away. Their only fault here is trying to make a few credits for referring business to the shopowner. If you let us walk away, do you really think we'd do anything other than run to the safety of our ships and lock the seals?"

As soon as those words had escaped his clacking mandibles, though, another figure stepped out from the shop, still holding an A280K in his hands, as if ready to show off another feature to one of the sentients at the door of his shop. Stopping, his eyes traversed from Buggie and the Ogemites to the armed duo standing across from them, and then to the blaster being pointed menacingly in Buggie's direction. Monarch's characteristic smile progressively fell from beneath his impressive moustache. Buggie glanced from Monarch to the sentient in the flight suit. The Ogemites looked to Monarch, and then to one another. It seemed that all at once, everyone had stopped breathing.

As her partner pulled out his blaster, Kita should have figured Sa'ato wouldn't allow the verpine to leave alive. Of course it was wishful thinking on her part he would escape at all. If he had gone and not seen anything at all then it possibly would have been fine. However she still had a partial conscious, unlike the rest of the Sith. Something she was slowly losing as she remained under Tormentous teachings of the darkside. "Guess I have no choice now..." she thought irritably.

Listening quietly to the Verpines comments of the situation, she caught the neti's small gesture towards her about the weapons and the sentinents whom guarded them. Already advancing over to the sentinents, Kita pulled her vibrolance out while also keeping well aware of the Verpine's presence and movements. Sa'ato hopefully had things covered for now with his blaster...and if not, the Sith apprentice knew she would have to pick up the pieces as they went. This whole mission was going to be getting very messy.

She felt a force disturbance as the verpine began to try and talk his way out of her partner shooting him. She knew from this alone that he was a force user as well. Surely Sa'ato must have noticed it despite still learning the force. Which made Kita realize that if the verpine was a force user, that it only now made the mission alot more complicated. Who's side was he on? Surely Kita knew he couldn't possibly be a Sith.

Seeing the shopkeeper exit his shop, Kita gave a inward sigh. "Another one." She left the sharpshooting to her partner and went for the kill. Her vibrolance glistened in the sunlight as she swung it at the Ogemites. Without a second thought, she aimed at the nearest one, her lance striking him in the chest deeply before falling to the ground in a heap. The other already had no chance to stop her brutal attack. The Sith apprentice kicked it out of the sentinents hand while twirling her lance, swinging the sharp blade in a downward motion slicing them through the shoulder before making another move and pulling out a dagger from her side pouch. She rammed it into their left side, the blade wedging in between their ribs before pulling it back out in one quick motion.

Wiping the blood from her dagger on her black pants, she sheathed it and ran for the shop. She knew what she planned on doing, and hopefully Sa'ato would be able to shoot the shopkeeper before she made it to the entrance. Otherwise she would have to take him down herself.

Before Sa’ato had a chance to realize it, he found himself strung along by the Verpine's words. There was sense in his argument. Surely, something was broken in the Neti that allowed him to consider murder so lightly, but he could still be rational. At least, on most days of the week. Nonetheless, something itched at the back of the professor’s mind: why was he bothering to listen? The academic’s earlier summons of the Force seemed moot and leaden as his gaze became transfixed on the insectoid’s multifaceted eyes. Were it not for the metal base of Monarch’s boots crunching down on the transport’s loading ramp, Sa’ato might have failed to snap free of the encounter.

It was then that he saw the blaster clutched securely in the man’s hand. And just like that, all present had fallen prey to an Abregadan stand-off. Unlike the holofilm cliche however, the stakes were painfully obvious. For a passing moment, the professor idled, straining his sight back and forth between the curious Verpine and the looming threat. Thankfully, Sa’ato was not kept from making a decision for long. In a blur of speed and murderous prowess, by all outward appearances, Kita dispatched the two Ogemites with ease. Whether their wounds were fatal was yet to be seen. But, for the time being, the Neti narrowed gilded eyes at Monarch, and swung his pistol in the direction of the ship.

Depressing the trigger, the professor sent a bolt soaring toward the mustachioed gentlemen’s gut. With any luck, he would cease to figure into the equation. Then all that would remain was the unarmed insect. Sa’ato now had questions and, by his newfound skills, he would have answers...

[Master Buggie]

The interruption of Monarch was all that was necessary in order to throw the situation completely sideways. Like a bloody symphony, a number of events occurred all together at the same time. The female assailant lunged forward before Buggie even had the chance to sense it and buried her vibrolance into the chest of one of the Ogemites. Buggie, too late, attempted to stop her, and, as she pulled the lance from the crumpled Ogemite, the pommel of the lance connected sharply with Buggie's face, sending a spray of phlegm from between his mandibles and knocking the Jedi Master down on his back. In that time, the female had already slid a dagger in between the ribs of the other Ogemite, and the other assailant had shot Monarch in the stomach, the wine of his handheld blaster receiving no response from Monarch's own blaster rifle. In seconds, the action had concluded, and Buggie and the Ogemites writhed on the ground just outside of Monarch's shop. An expanding pool of crimson had emerged from the Ogemites, and Monarch, who had fallen inside of his shop, was beyond Buggie's vantage point.

Buggie fought against the disorienting sensations that lingered in his mind after having taken the blow from the vibrolance. His vision was unfocused, but he looked up from the ground at the Ogemites laying beside him. He could tell that they were beyond his help; their life signs had faded into nothingness and they were now unmoving husks of the living, vibrant beings that had stood on either side of him only a moment before.

For whatever reason, Buggie had been spared up until this point. Perhaps the assailant in the flight suit had thought he also fell victim to the female's attacks. As Buggie struggled back to his feet, he looked at the blaster-toting sentient and prepared himself to fight. He had been caught off guard once, and it resulted in two or three lives being taken. He needed to stop these thugs, especially if they desired to use the weapons inside the shop to continue slaughtering as freely as they had just now.

[Kita_Ikari]

Kita felt the vibrations and impact with something through the hilt of her lance. She turned back to see the verpine had been hit straight in the face, falling back onto the ground. "Well...that's one way to get rid of a enemy in the way..." Looking down, she saw the phlegm and cringed before continuing her attack with her dagger. "Gross..."

The Sith apprentice felt the life forces of the ogemites fade. Of course Kita had intended to kill them, but the feeling after doing it was sad and bitter. Killing in self defense was one thing. And even with that it took her awhile to get used to it and accept their deaths when being attacked. But she was still getting use too killing those who couldn't defend themselves. It had been something she still hated doing in the Sith. But she couldn't show weakness or have her master find out she didn't follow the traits of a proper sith. For if she did, Kita was afraid what would be done to her. Killed? Possibly. Or lose her status as his apprentice. Which... She COULDN'T allow that to happen.

Just steps away from entering the establishment, she swung her vibrolance at the monarch aiming to slash at his neck as her partners bullet met his stomach. If he fell dead in front of the shop, she already planned to grab the blaster rifle from the corpses hands and use its ammo to take down the unexpecting sentinents whom may be inside the shop with the rest of the precious cargo they planned to steal.

She would have to be fast, keeping her focus and senses within the force to avoid any attacks that may come from the sentinents inside if they so much as had the courage to face her. Her long golden blonde hair swayed in the breeze as she felt the forces energy surround her, expanding her own field and drawing upon it to encompass her surroundings further as she started her invasion on the shop...
