He kept a tail on them, it would be a narrow turn into that alley but he was smarter than that
As he brought the fighter above the buildings. He would be forced to use the weapons systems after
All.First he armed the cannons, as he had to bring the fighter in lower. It only had two laser cannons
but it could be enough to slow him down. The weapons indicator flashed from red to green, as he used
the targeting Computer, got an approximation of a lock and opened fire , a single shot from each cannon with
the intent to clip the vehicle.
He had no intention of trying to end the Imperial not with this fighter, With his lightsaber and bare hands
Most definitely. They worked well as a team before but that was behind them. They both were after the same
Thing. This weapons engineer, for all he knew was already off world.
He continued the pursuit, it was starting to get tight, if something did not change soon he would have
To increase his altitude so as not to hit something and crash.

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
The speeder took two glancing hits and shuddered, Rhoden snarled curses as he maneuvered again. "Dot. Find me something with weapons!" Dot beeped an affirmative followed by his own stream of invective against the Sith. [Vehicle located. Familiarity with controls non-issue. Ultra-Light Assault Vehicle.] Rhoden sighed. "Condition?" he asked. There was a pause, [Functional.] Rhoden glanced at the display in front of him for the location. Functional didn't mean it was in the best shape. But he didn't have the luxury of being choosy right now.
He rounded a corner--the damn thing seemed to be on the move itself--and immediately swerved his vehicle into a wall as the thing opened fire. He noted--through the blur of motion in his crash--several more shots go skyward. He heard a screech and the roar of an engine.
"We're picking up a civilian speeder, moving fast... hold on, it's heading for us now." the General said. Markus cocked an eyebrow, "Ready the cannons." he said. A few seconds later a speeder burned around a corner and the General pressed down on the trigger. The speeder didn't slow in its drift and slammed into a wall before rolling, the shot missed it but the passenger wouldn't be able to catch them now. The General let out a stream of curses, "Yes?" Markus asked mildly. "Aerial target, too." he said simply. It was coming on from behind.
The heavy cannon swiveled up and fired three times, the first two missed spectacularly but the third clipped a wing. The vehicle roared past over head, trailing flame from the tip of one wing but fairly undamaged other than that. "Go. Go, go, go, go, go!" he said, straining to look around.
Rhoden ran out of his fighter followed by Stalker and Dot, both moving as fast as they could manage. He leapt onto a speeder bike, quickly snapping a kick into the leg of its former owner. It was a military model--and it still had blasters--he spared a moment only to point at the youth and look at Dot. There was a flash of red light as the droid released a single bolt and then they were off again, Stalker wrapped his metal arms around Rhoden's waist.
"Let's not follow the speeder with the big blasters." he said to himself. At least now he had more speed. He looked up, the Sith's vehicle had taken a hit--not fatal unfortunately. "Dot, plot a route to get us to the location before our new friends. We'll deal with our Sith friend if it comes up." he said. Dot beeped and a course appeared on the dusty display in front of him. He accelerated to full speed.

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
Warvanus’ new fighter did take a hit but it was a very minor one, damage report reported that a stabilizer had gone, he wouldn’t need that until he tried to land and even with one out he should be able to land the craft with no issues if he took it easy, it was a inconvenience, one that did not slow him down, he kept on the Imperial as he brought the laser cannons on to his target. He had increased the engines output so as he could gain a bit of ground and when within range he took a couple of shots with the intent to slow him down. He was not aiming to kill he wanted this Imperials’ throat in his hand so he could crush his trachea and shed him of the mortal coil. For now he ignored the ground vehicle with the artillery. His target, his focus right now was the Imperial. That to him was all that matters. He was trying to force a confrontation; he should have crushed his throat when he had his chance back at the cantina.
This engineer must be very important if the Imperials were after him too. He would not admit it but he did not know to the extent of this engineer’s importance. If it was going to benefit the Sith then he was all for it and when the engineer would no longer be useful then he would be killed.
He is mine, Dirty Imperial he thought to himself pouring his hate into the thought.
He pushed the engines harder he was almost at top speed now. The aerofighter was fast and maneuverable. He liked this, and if the fighter survived it would be his newest acquisition

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
Rhoden and the aerial unknown vanished as the ULAV maneuvered further away towards the alley. "Well then." Markus said, licking his lips and slipping on a leather helmet which fully concealed his head, "Looks like we're going to have a bit more trouble than I'd have liked." The General grunted and pressed a button, there was a buzz which cut across the chatter of the troops in the back, "Get ready, boys, 's gonna be a rough'n!"
Rhoden noted the shots to either side of his speeder, he was traveling at a speed which made it hard to hit him and keep from slamming into a building--at least given the positioning required to get a hit on him for the moment. The profile of the speeder helped quite a bit as well, allowing shots to go wide of the speeder. He did not slow, though he did jump briefly higher as he sped over a vendors haphazard arrangement.
And then he shot out into a wider street and took off towards the Alley. It was a dreadfully exposed position; filled with far too many pedestrians for his taste, but it couldn't be helped. He thought quickly and saw a stairway ahead. He angled his speeder for it and as he hit the stairway he slammed down and took his speeder bike vertical. He shot upwards as Dot squealed in alarm and Stalker tightened his grip. The Sith was in front of him. He fired.
The bike went horizontal and hurtled back down to the ground, slamming into it as the repulsorlifts overloaded due to weight and speed considerations. "Going to start bringing a brigade of AT-ST's wherever I go." he muttered. He looked for the Sith to see if he had forced a landing.

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
The shots were a near miss , as Warvanus brought the aerofighter higher he was done pursuing through the maze of streets and alleyways it would not end well for the Sith if he continued the pursuit. He was not withdrawing but pursuing at a higher altitude, the downside is that most likely would put him just out of range of his laser cannons. He looked at his instruments and pushed the engines onward, he flipped the comm. Switch
“Karl, come In”
“Yes Master?”
“Deploy the new droid at my position”
He had recently acquired a probe droid. Maybe it would come in handy , maybe not. But it would act as his eyes on the ground he knew he was not far from where he had landed originally, so it would not take him too long to get to the co-ordinates. He hoped it would not be too little too late.
“Understood Master” the droid replied.
KL-PK1, or Karl had activated the probe droid and imputed the co-ordinates that he was given, and like a shot. The Droid was off.
Warvanus kept his pursuit, he looked at the fuel gauge, he was going to have to land this craft soon. He began to wonder if the Imperial would slip through his fingers.

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
The General turned the ULAV in an abrupt 180 and hit a switch, the doors slammed open. "Go, go, go!" the squad leader said. Markus felt a wave of relief at the fact that he'd had his men modify the speeder with a compact but functional passenger section. It had hindered the speed of the craft, but it was more than worth it in this instance.
The troopers rushed out and blasted the door, moving in with speed and skill. Markus ran into the building and looked around, there was a strangled gasp as a man appeared in a doorway upstairs. "Come on, Mr. Seyth." Markus said, "We have to get you out of here, the Empire and the Sith have found you." the man swayed on the spot but one of the soldiers grabbed him roughly and shoved him out the door.
"C'mon, c'mon! We don't have all day!"" the General growled, Markus climbed back into the vehicle as an armored figure ran out into view. "Blast him!" Markus said, both an invective and an order.
Rhoden yelped a curse as he skidded and dropped to the ground. The speeder's repulsors had failed. One more street. he thought. He sprinted with exceptional speed and turned. Once more he found himself skidding, flying sideways into the opposite wall as a storm of blasterfire scorched towards him. The ULAV again.
Rhoden raised his blaster and fired, dropping one, two, three. The rest of the troops jumped into the back of the vehicle--boxier and less armored than the ULAV's Rhoden had seen in the past. The bulky vehicle turned around slowly, Rhoden's continued shots pinging off the armor, and it took off.
Stalker came shuffling at full speed into the alley, it appeared he had deemed his orders as no longer standing because he spoke, "Well, that was most unpleasant. Perhaps we can interrogate any witnesses?" the droid suggested. Rhoden's face flickered between frustrated annoyance at the escape of his target combined with the droid's discourse and anticipation for such an interrogation. "Let's search the house first." he said, his voice deadly quiet.
He pushed open the door and looked around. It was a reasonably large house which appeared surprisingly comfortable--by Nal Hutta's fairly low standards--but it also had a glass-walled workshop on the main floor where various scrap pieces of droids could be seen. There was a terminal sitting on a desk. He gestured to it. "Can you get the drives out of that without damaging them?" he asked Dot. An affirmative beep. "Do it." the droid went to work and swiftly handed Rhoden several cards. He turned to leave.

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
The Probe droid he had deployed was close as it wasted no time reporting to the general vicinity of Warvanus’ whereabouts.
Warvanus had circled the area, and when the craft came into position he could see the Imperial entering a building but he was too far away to open fire. He would have to land the vehicle sooner than later. He commed his protocol Droid Karl
“Karl, task the probe droid to keep an eye at these co-ordinates, his primary function here is surveillance”
Karl barked some form of an affirmative.
Warvanus turned the craft around as he made his way to land. He strode off now to find the Imperial, he had seen him go into this abandoned house, Lightsaber drawn and blade activated he began his search, then through the Force sensing life nearby in the house , possible it was Rhoden, maybe not. either way he would go to the source and see what happened next

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
Rhoden walked out into a hallway as Dot clipped onto his back. "Why, hello, hello, hello!" Rhoden said jovially. "It seems you've cost me a rather important prisoner." he said, his eyes glistening malevolently. "Seeing as you had no business nosing around with my investigation of Bareil I do believe I'll skin you alive." he smiled. A thought flickered across his mind. He wondered if the Sith could tell the difference between himself and the Other One. Or if, perhaps, the man could sense his newfound abilities in the Force--small though they might be.
It was a pity that the Sith had to die. He would have been a most useful source of information. But it didn't do to dwell on such things. He raised his blaster, ensuring with a quick eye to his wrist that the flamethrower there was ready. "Do stand still, your death will be much less painful if it's quick."

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
He saw his target and his hand went for his lightsaber as he put on some false bravado. The blade came to life with a snap-hiss. “You have meddled in Sith affairs for the last time Imperial Dog” each word was slow, seething with venom in his voice.
He had opened his senses to the Force and could sense the raw power within untrained, he was no match for him and his knowledge in the Sith arts.
He saw the weapon mounted on his wrist. It made no difference. “You presume too much” he said as the Imperial was convinced that a mere weapon like what he had on his wrist would stop a Sith. He noticed two metal chairs laying on the floor, through the Force *Telekinesis* he willed them to rise and flung them at the Imperial’s direction. He did not move from his position, he had hoped that the Imperial would be sloppy with that flamethrower as he could burn the building down, in which case Warvanus was near the exit and could easily bar the exit from allowing the Imperial to escape

Re: Pursuit of the Asset (Closed, Rhoden, Warvanus)
Two chairs flew at Rhoden but he stepped quickly through another doorway. He noted with cold indifference that the frame was wooden. This whole hut was made of materials of... questionable... flame resistance. It hadn't been a factor until he'd engaged a Sith. Now he might need to use the flamethrower. If worse came to worst he could just blow a hole in the wall. Probably.
He smiled at the Sith's first statement, "You wish." he said with a slight chuckle, "What you call presumption, I call optimism." he said with a smile, he readied his blaster again. "I'll... ah... I'll be over here, sir!" Stalker said inching to the side and quickly stepping down a corridor out of the Sith's view. "Coward." he muttered, "Shall we begin?" he asked, with another smile.
"Signs of pursuit?" the General asked, Markus checked the scanners and visual feeds. "Nothing." he said, the General snorted, "Maybe the two idiots'll kill each other." he said, "I wouldn't count on it, but you never know." Markus responded as they swung the vehicle directly into the cargo bay of the Slipstream.
