Mandalore Sector
Jakelia System
Jakelia

Jakelia was a lush world of verdant greens and blues. Trees rising, high into the bright blue sky, rivers cracking and scarring the land, leading into vast basins and lakes. High valleys, and deep ravines turned the land into a treacherous obstacle course for any who passed through, yet life found a way. Be it the very wild life that roamed the planet, from the predatory nexu, to the hulking rancor, or the fierce Mandalorian warriors. The encampment of Clan Sorrel was a beacon others had flocked to. Outposts lining the ridge in which the camp sat, flying the flags of many other Clans, with Sorrel at it's center. To the south, about forty miles, was a large clearing, where another camp had been set up, where those displaced by the Civil War that had torn through the sector now resided, and thrived. Helped by the Alliance to rescue those who wanted no part in the war. Many had remained after the war, no place left to go. Dar'manda. Yet they had found purpose, here, on Jakelia.

To the east of the refugee camp, trees rose up again, lush, green... and slowly they began to wither and die, the further east you went. Here, was an expanse of Dark Side energy, an ancient battle that left the region broken, and gasping for breath. One of three such places here on Jakelia. A lake had once led into the area, and had since overflowed, the trees, once green with life, were now black with death. The murky water threatening to drag any foolish enough to pass through, underneath. The swamps were a place even the fiercest Mandalorian warrior feared... With good cause.

To the west of the camp, the trees didn't continue. Instead, the ground changed from viridian to white. Here, the brutal sun of the Jakelia system beat down, turning the ground into a vast, sandy expanse, rocks and bluffs rose up here for miles, where dry, cracked soil split many places. The beasts that roamed the wasteland here were hulking and vicious indeed. It was the energies that pooled in the Force, here and in that swamp to the east of the camp, that had made the Chief of Clan Sorrel choose that location for the refugee camp. The Dark Side masked the camp, hiding it from view without the proper codes.

But that wasn't the spot that interested the Jensaari today. Colton Hunter had moved down to the temple grounds, north, and west of the Sorrel camp, there had been a massive valley built into a small mountain, and within that valley, resided the rebuilt Shadow Temple. Colt's efforts of working with Xavius Bain and his more unstable ally, Lady Death. Colt still couldn't call her Kota, not after the chaos she had wrought. Near the temple, was an ancient cavern system, and it was in there, that Colt stared. It was that cave that also hid the Temple, it was in there that Adara Silver, Kal be Gratua, the Silver Knight, had forged her spear, and was there that many a would be acolyte would be tempted, and tested. It was there, he hoped that no one dared dig too deep.

Perhaps it was time to see what Jay had created.

Colt skirted the valley, riding further west on his Flare S swoop, zipping in and out of trees, before he came to a small outpost of sorts. A single building rose up, laden with vines and foliage, it had been about three years, since Colt had told Jay his people would be welcome here. And since, he had worked many a deal with the Blue Star Pirates, whom had previously benefitted from a steady supply of Beksad iron for a time, thanks to a few supply runs by Colt and his then apprentice, Adara Silver. His mind darkened as he powered down the swoop, and climbed off. She wasn't his apprentice anymore. She was supposed to be his partner. Like when a Padawan became a Knight. But they didn't adhere to Jedi code, not the way it was now. Colt had taught her the original code, when emotions existed, but there was peace to temper it.

Beaten and broken, she had used what little power she had left, after fighting Krynn Karn, the dark Empress, the Nightmare's Child, to pin his foe, and allow Darius Cor, the boy Chief of Clan Kelborn, to carry his broken body back to his ship. They would have waited, but Adara's actions forced them to leave her. And he'd been trying to get her back since. Perhaps he'd journey back to Korriban with a fleet, and fight every last Sith in the galaxy to free her. One day at a time.

He moved to the old building, and smiled sadly. The building wasn't as old as it looked, which was part of the point. His hand brushed some of the vegetation aside, and the rusty old door creaked open. Closing it behind him, he turned, and looked around the tight confines of the room. With a sigh, he removed one of his golden gauntlets, and pressed his finger against the wall. There was an audible beep, and the room rumbled, as the floor began to slowly descend into darkness. He placed his gauntlet back on, and stretched as the floor descended into a vast network of caves, massive crystals protruding from the stone walls, ceiling, and floor of the place. But then there was the metallic scaffolding and large buildings build down here... the real outpost.

Colt stepped from the elevator, in his golden armor, the armor of Mando Cabure, the Mandalorian Protectors, a police force, as it was. And strode through the area, looking around slowly... he really hoped they hadn't dug the cavern too deep to the east, this place was devoid of Dark Side energy, but hidden well. But if they dug into the cave near the temple, all kinds of problems could occur. He glanced over as two men approached, weapons at the ready.

"How are the shipments coming along, you guys have what you need?" he asked. They relaxed and nodded. Colt had come down here a few times to check on the people, made sure they had supplies, and they traded with one another, his eyes looked over the area briefly once more. "Good to hear it, got anyone in charge today? I need to talk with some one, don't want you guys to run into trouble, and I see you are all digging deeper into it, just want to make sure you dig around it at the very least," he offered with a smile that they couldn't see thanks to his helmet.

They'd find someone... or even better, a group of someones. They needed to be warned, he just hoped they had an understanding of the Force.
