Standing there waiting for Master Kenobi's next move, Evelyn was as focused as one could be. She could feel the Force around her and deep within, however, the slight tremors she felt moments ago in the Force were rather vague now. Wondering slightly as to why this would be, she heard him commend her once again. Taking a deep breath she tapped out of her focus and thanked the Force for its guidance in this lesson. It was quite intriguing as the young student was fired up now and ready to test her limits further. Since it came to her so naturally so far, young Miss Swann couldn't help but wonder what else she could improve with herself.
As Master Kenobi removed the helmet from her head, Evelyn opened her eyes slowly and returned her posture into a normal relaxed position while observing her Master. Blinking curiously at Ben reaching the top of his weapon to then detach it from the staff itself, she tilted her head slightly to the side, her hazel eyes staring at the part of his weapon in his hands. Is that... Within her mind, the brunette couldn't believe what she saw, as she listened closely to what her Master had to say. From mere surprise from the sudden snap-hiss, Evy's entire body jerked from the sound as the blade sprung to life and emitted a beautiful yellow glow around it, colouring the room with its light. "Holy smokes! That is SO beautiful! Wow! Sorry, but I've only heard about the Jedi from bedtime stories if you remember, so seeing the actual weapon the Jedi uses... this is truly stunning... and... also weirdly feeling so very familiar..." Blinking confused a few times, Evy felt something from the lightsaber in Kenobi's hand as he swung it around a few times to show her how it was handled. The buzzy humming sound emitting from the beaming blade of the weapon was extraordinary. It was almost as if her subconscious felt it completely through the Force itself. It was as if she wanted to follow her mentor's every move he made with that weapon. Why... why was she so drawn to that weapon? It literally made no real sense to her.
Even when he swung the blade up and down the training rack and she saw the damage it could do, with the piece of metal now lying on the durasteel floor fizzling aggressively with a light cloud of smoke erupting from its core as part of it was melted, the young lady wasn't nervous. Her Master had shown her how dangerous it could be if not careful, but she was always careful and well prepared. She always calculated and thought things through before acting, but mostly because it was just a part of her personality to be that way in general. Evy would make sure to not lose any fingers. How she managed to be this calm however, surprised her as she did remember having seen this kind of weapon before just with a deep crimson red hue instead. The Sith that had slaughtered her family, they carried such tools, but now with her studies and the connection with the Force, Evelyn felt at peace to not let her fear take over. This conclusion made her smile as she realized she had truly moved on from that dark memory of death and destruction in her past.
Once the beast of the hilt was deactivated, Miss Swann realized that he was going to teach her how to use a real lightsaber... The excitement was almost too overwhelming for her to comprehend in her poor head. For a moment there she felt like a child celebrating their birthday. This was crazy! She had read so much about the Force and lightsaber combat styles while on Permafrost, so to finally see this with her own eyes... She felt giddy and positive.
Taking a deep breath, Evelyn shook off the overly dominant feeling of excitement, and instead tried to focus on the weapon she was now holding in her grasp. So much responsibility was weighted into this weapon but it was almost as light as a feather. It was indeed not anything near the same as a vibrosword. Clenching her teeth, Evy wasn't sure how to do this. This was one of the biggest steps she had taken yet. To actually hold this tremendously dangerous weapon in her own hands...
Walking over to the training rack she placed the wooden sword back where it belonged before she moved back to where she stood previously. Miss Swann looked closer at the lightsaber in her hand, the hilt beautifully crafted, and its design simple. She felt so honored to hold her Master's lightsaber, since she had read that when a Jedi construct their lightsaber, part of their own energy is molded into the weapon itself, making it unique and their own entirely.
Finally after a bit of time, the brunette had gathered up the courage to activate the blade. She pressed the on-switch and with a snap-hiss the yellow beam sprung back to life. Swallowing a lump of saliva that had gathered in her throat, Evelyn felt overwhelmed by all of this once again. The soft humming emitting from the beaming blade was quite soothing, relaxing even, and calmed her nerves as she looked at her Master, ready for instruction.

With the mention of the blade being weightless, she had to admit that this was true. She could not feel it from the slight weight in her hand. It was only the hilt itself that she could physically feel. She could feel a slight tremble of nervousness within herself and she closed her eyes for a moment to calm herself and find her inner peace as she had taught herself on Permafrost. Immediately she felt her slightly tensed muscles in her body relax and she could feel how her slight insecurity disappeared. She could do this, she just had to do exactly as Master Kenobi told her and she would be fine. It was not that young Evelyn was afraid of this weapon, she merely had much respect for it and what it was capable of doing.
Opening her eyes then moving into a defensive stance, Evy followed suit with her Master's movements in how to handle the lightsaber, and she had to admit that this wasn't easy at all. The basic defensive posture and how she had to move the hilt and blade in orbital movements... She wasn't sure how to do it, as sometimes it was as if the blade itself had a will of its own. Taking another deep breath and exhaling slowly, Evelyn tried to dig deep into her own self and her connection to the Force. Allowing it to flow through her as a current of light, as she maneuvered the humming blade in slow and soft fluid motions up and down, from left to right and drawing the number eight in the air before making an X, then repeating it all over. She had to feel the weapon as a part of her, like an extended but extremely dangerous hand. She was one with herself, but it was still a challenge for Evelyn to really get the feeling of this.
As Ben finished speaking, she still felt slightly uncertain. So instead of using her eyes and her senses like she had so far in this lesson, she closed her eyes, letting the Light Side of the Force still consume her being and feeling everything around her from a different point of view. Just as she had learned from the previous training of sensing danger through the Force as well as sensing life around her, be it an object or a living being, she would now try to let go of all the visuals. Letting go of everything, she trusted in the Force as much as she knew it trusted her to follow it, to let her know when and where to move and act accordingly. Calming her mind and focusing on the ever-flowing strings around her, Evelyn drew her subconscious mind closer to the blade of the weapon. Feeling its current energy streaming through the endless waves of the Force. Her brows furrowed as she took notice of the difference in its presence now. Through the Force, its beam was far brighter and astounding. She could feel it. Its energy starting to move effortlessly through the strings of the Force and through to her own string connected. Miss Swann felt it throughout her whole body, every single fiber in her being. The Living Force allowed her to feel everything around her here and now, letting her feel the beam pulsating like a beating heart all while the Unifying Force guided her to a better understanding of this beast held gently, yet with a firm enough grip as one would have if they were holding a bird within their grasp.
Without thinking she nodded, acknowledging the Force to help her. She began to move through the basic defense posture again, still with her eyes closed she inhaled and exhaled for every move, letting it become a fluid motion as she could feel the blade move through the air, like cutting through blue butter with a butter knife. By the time she saw it herself, she had now moved around with the lightsaber as if it was a part of herself. Her motions with the hilt and blade as one, she felt surprisingly at ease, almost like it was second nature to her. It was such a different sensation than what she had ever felt before in her life...

Everything almost stood still for the young Padawan as she deactivated the soft humming, letting the blade return to its resting place through the hilt's emitter. Standing in a casual stance she opened her eyes to look over at her Master. "That... was an indescribable feeling Master. I have no idea if I did it right, I just let go and let the Force guide my actions..."
