I've been new for about a month and still do not understand how the game system works

Hello, and welcome to Sithlore: Star Wars Roleplay!

Sithlore is a friendly community of Star Wars Roleplayers. We are one of the best established Star Wars roleplaying Games on the net brought together by our love of Star Wars, writing and roleplaying.

The game itself takes place here, on our message board. Board based Roleplaying is rather like an interactive story, and while there are rules there is very little you really need to know in order to get started.

So, how do you get started!?

Well, first make a post in this forum, docking-bay-f3/, introducing yourself, and telling us a little bit about your character ideas.
Then take a look at our quickstart guide http://www.sithlore.com/beginners/index.php.

The next step, when you feel ready to make your first In Character post, go to the Docking Bay and enter the Sithlore Universe!
Finally, when you have roleplayed on Sithlore for 10 days or more, you can make a formal character application http://www.sithlore.com/beginners/application.php.

As for the game itself, don't think into it too hard. We are a forum based RPG and if you're a writer or aspiring to be, this is the place for you!

You assume the role of an original character in the Star Wars Universe and your goal is to tell his story. Simple as that. You begin from just a normal Joe off the Docking Bay and in time you may become a Commander in the Imperial Navy or a Sith Warrior or perhaps a daring Pirate Captain. The options are only limited by your imagination and to be honest I can tell you that you'll learn best by getting out there and jumping straight in.

Head to the Docking Bay forum and start your story once you've brainstormed a character. A friendly member will jump in and help you along as you go.
