Ben is on vaca for the last week or so, so it's kind of a big thing to let the man have a break. As such, I'm not bugging him. So I have a question for the siths.

You entered an Alliance system and began an attack without essentially any posts by anyone in the GA. Now, this may have all been discussed between Ben and yall. BUT, it seems like you skipped a lot. Space defenses. yata yata yata. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would read this went"Wait. Sith post. sith post. sith post. Huh?"

So if its something agreed, awesome. If not, that's not a matter I'm touching. But better to ask and it be out there than not.

No I haven’t spoken to BK about any of this other than letting him know we were here and that was some days ago, possibly even before he went on his walkabout? Not too sure when he did. I’ve also pinged the GA Co-FL and FL on discord. I know everyone is on vaycay but I have made efforts to get the word out with little to no responses. As to your specific concern I’ve already discussed it with the Sith and our FL Slade, our forces aren’t being accosted due to the swiftness in our attack but after our initial attack posts we planned to begin recognizing more organized efforts on behalf of Ahto City. We had no intention whatsoever to simply waltz in and flag Manaan. Even if the GA were to not respond to our thread we take some pride in making a bloody slogfest of a PVE environment.

Although - I will make mention that on the old board before the move. Buggie, BK and I do believe Sal was in a RP Planning discussion about planetary takeovers and it was mentioned that in order to take a world there must be a minimum or four posts involved should the opposing Faction not respond. Arrival, Land, Contest, Conquer. These are not concrete in the Rules section - I understand this - though they are guidelines we strive to fulfill and seeing as we are well within 40 posts collectively - we are within these guidelines.

If not - I do apologize for any inconveniences the Sith have caused.

You said my name, so consider me summoned. I did a look through the Temple and RP Planning sections of the old forum, and I don't see anything about planetary conquest guidelines. I'd like to reference them if they exist. Are you sure you all aren't confusing those four steps for the steps referenced in the Spacelanes guidelines here? This thread has Jay, BK, and I in it, and there's four steps.

It should be noted, Sith, that Manaan is not a minor world of the Galactic Alliance and therefore should have its own set of assets staged in defense of the world. Allow me to quote from Jay.

"NPC does not mean you can ignore it or that it's not worthy of mention. NPC just means it doesn't belong to a player. Sure, you don't have to RP every tiny minutiae of an action on Sithlore, but you can't just bypass a complicated set of defences without mention just because they're not controlled by a player. They still exist, because the conceit of any RPG is that the universe is very real, and should be treated with the same respect." - Jay Mertaal.

Please take this into account in future posts. We trust you are all experienced RPers here at SL. Act like it. Blowing through a planet's defenses and getting forces on the ground in a single post is questionable to say the least.

Master Buggie it seems I am in gross error and have mistaken this instance. Apologies. Though I always make attempts at using the examples of those that have come before. I give you the road. I have no reference to give nor do I have a fancy quote to go by. Dusty memory drives me. I was wrong.

BK, I am sorry. I have never before disrespected anyone’s NPCs nor am I making a powerplay to do so now. I have stated a moment ago that the speed of our arrival granted us advantage. You cry foul. I shall deliver a post to rectify the situation. Please note it was never my intention to capture Manaan at all or even Ahto City.

Our current position is as follows.

Our ground forces launched from the ships and are descending. They are still high up in the skies over Ahto. The ONLY forces having arrived and engaged the unprepared defenders was to be the swift moving fighters making simple gun runs. I am not brush beyond anything here. One of my ships has landed a handful of Sith Cultists in an industrial sector and they have in fact been attacked by NPC defenders. I myself am also still in the air and have not even ‘fired a shot.’

Out of respect for your NPCs and fair play I will re-post something appropriate to recognize the defenders.

Again - I have never disregarded anyone’s assets before and I AM NOT HERE.
