Remember, this is just core, basic info. You don’t want to get into too much that will change thread to thread.

Current SL timeline is approx 31 ABY.
For those confused, BBY is Before Battle of Yavin (aka the results of the original Star Wars). Darth Maul killed Qui-Gon Jinn in 32 BBY.
ABY is After Battle of Yavin. Darth Vader died aboard the second Death Star in 4 ABY.
Sith Lore follows its own branching Legends timeline, which doesn’t line up with the newer films.
If this still confuses you, you can skip the BBY/ABY format and write something like Birth: Approx 26 years ago, or replace “Birth” with Approx Age: 20s, if you'd like to be even more vague.
It won’t be one size fits all, but the closer we can be to a standardized format, the easier this thread will be to consult.
