Re: beginner's luck
Blood watched with insurmountable levels of irritation as the party before them sped off into the twist of matter and reality. The hyperblast flung them forward, and with locked coordinates, Blood knew he could join them. He was simply irritated that he had to give chase. Clear vexation was throttling his words as he threw them to Rahab. Not upset at her, the dainty soul he was grooming into something spiky and keen. But upset with the incompletion of the trek.
"Redock; there's a chase afoot."
With the signal clearing for her ship to reattach, the second it flashed from red to green to alert him she was yet again safely in his ships grasp, he instructed Valkyr to throw themselves too into the hole of hyper-velocity, following after that haul like a hunting party. Blood was undoubtedly scorned at this setback, as time was precious to him, and wasting it proved to be the greatest sin.
He merely hoped this time spent was well placed. Hoped that this haul would be worth it.
"What is everyone's position?" he called into his watch, anxiety running rampant through his skin but not his mind. Sweat began to slip into the threads of his brow, his desire for this to hurry and be done increasing his blood flow. He tried his hardest to tamper down that fire within, but it kept latching to things, cinder against his thudding heart.

Re: beginner's luck
The re-dock happened smoothly, the co-ordinates were put in , and as soon as the pack started their jumps he would do his. He could hear Lord Blood over the comms he pushed the button
“About to make the jump to show those Kriffin Huttspawns what happens when you piss off a Sith” he said with as much venom as he could muster. He would not be denied his prey. Was he a hunter? In a sense, he was a killer and he loved taking lives and this cowardly move only fueled his anger and hatred for those who were inferior to the Sith. He could feel the annoyance and anger from the Crow who was now docked to his ship and he drank that in as well as his own hate.
His knuckles were almost white from gripping the throttle so tightly he was not aware of it. He wanted those infidels, the enemies of the Sith Empire to suffer, and suffer painfully and slowly.

Re: beginner's luck
What the starcraft lacked in ergonomic design, it made up for in its handling. The Recourse, despite its size, felt truly weightless as she maneuvered it back to the undercarriage of Lord Blood’s ship. She had re-docked it without trouble and without complaint, as she steeled her stomach for the jump that followed.
Preemptively, Rahab flicked the communication channels off, one by one, until only Blood’s remained active. (She doubted, just yet, that she could get away with silencing him.) The Sith-in-training didn’t want to hear her compatriots vent their annoyances over the lines. And she had none of her own, on the topic of having to wait just a bit longer, as she did not share their lust for combat and was in no hurry to exchange laser fire.
["What is everyone's position?" ]
Upon hearing her Master’s voice, she pulled herself up from the crumpled mess the jump had left her in. The tone of his that carried across the line bothered her. Had this little detour disquieted him so? She felt that she needed to say something but wasn't sure of what. A few seconds passed longer than what was appropriate for an order as direct as that was before Rahab responded.
“I do assume you know where I am,” She managed to say, keeping her own tone light in an attempt to offer some kind of reassurance to him, “Master. The Recourse is ready to fly at your earliest convenience.”
She had input the coordinates into the ship's interface so that the blips on the screen were now moving; away from them at a steady pace through space. And as far as Rahab could tell by the lights on the ship's panel; all of its systems were operating properly. And she readied herself once again for him to relinquish his grasp upon her and her vessel.

Where did I come from, and what am I supposed to be doing?
I have no idea.
My soul is from elsewhere, I'm sure of that,
And I intend to end up there.

Re: beginner's luck
The Sith were moments too late to intercept the convoy, it seemed. Buggie could practically taste the fury bleeding through the comm traffic, and the Sith would be looking for someone to blame. Buggie, being an unknown, would be the first person they'd look to cast the blame upon. He wasn't a good enough pilot to fend the Sith off while simultaneously trying to calculate hyperspace coordinates for his escape. He needed to leave now, before they turned their guns on him.
Quickly flipping through his navcomputer, Buggie instructed the system to calculate coordinates back to the star system where he had originally come from. It would take a few minutes, minutes that Buggie needed to remain unnoticed for.
He remained silent on the comm as the Sith ships fell into formation.

Re: beginner's luck
Deeth took them out of hyperspace... Well, if they were supposed to come out at an asteroid named ANI-OOPSIE, they over shot it by a little. ANI-OOPSIE was just about an hour or so in their rear. Deeth shrugged it off like a good ewok would a simple mistake of a technology she had never been exposed to in her youth. There was no intergalatic ewok empire after all.
Zechs leaned forward and redid the navigation calculations himself, to speed things up. It turned out they weren't too far from another jump point, so it wasn't going to be as bad as "Hey, guys. We overshot a little. I hope you like singing ewok, because Deeth would like to share you her original opera with you as we backtrack to the navpoint." Nope. That wouldn't be needed.
This would be a short layover. Then they'd be off to their destination. It didn't stop Deeth form trying out some barrel rolls, make pew pewing noises, or ask what was for lunch.

Re: beginner's luck
A sigh of relief came through Neive's system as his 3 ships exited hyperspace, still vertically surrounding the transport. Neive checked the systems, making sure the droids sent him diagnostics of their fighters as well. Everything seemed fit, apart from a few technical problems that would be settled once they landed, but with the old interceptor, that wasn't surprising. As Neive looked to the ship that jumped first, he sighed, not exactly sure where they were going as of this point.
"Mobius 1-1, checking in. Where to now?"
The droids registered, both of them checking in simultaneously as well.
"Mobius 1-2, checking in."
"Mobius 1-3, checking in."
Neive nodded, waiting reply from the Ewok pilot and the other man aboard the ship.

Re: beginner's luck
Her A-Wing zipped from hypserspace after a few others, her vision clearing as the rainbow came together to form true colors again.
Ahead the YT was playfully bouncing around, and Shay sighed while looking calmly at her radar. All signals were green, but she was waiting for the rest of her friendlies to come out of hyperspace before she released her tension from her shoulders.
This was her first run escorting something like this- normally it was carrier duty, which meant slow days and night filled with other duties that didn't actually involve flying. She was also a safety consultant, so she made her checks, and did everything else the rest of her folks did- even pitched in sometimes during 'Happy Hour'- which was 'not' happy... but it 'was' only an hour. It was when the enlisted folk and lower officers cleaned their part of the ship for an hour during the day. Boring, tedious work.
All things considered, she was very happy today wasn't another day hanging out on a spacefaring carrier running patrols and bouncing from system to system filling in. Heck- she even allegedly bore witness to an ewok pilot..... Who knew, right?

Re: beginner's luck
The next jump was a short and happy one. This time Deeth hit the duck on the beak, not that she would do that or any of them would approve of such vile behavior to a living thing. It was just that her accuracy had increased greatly by letting the YT do its thing. It could count. It could drop them out. It was a tool she could use to great effect.
Cargo would soon be taken off. Perishable goods would perish in whatever manner suited them best. Zechs and Deeth would share a drink. They'd probably take separate naps. Then they'd get on the way back home to Naboo. There was a ranch of ducks that needed tending and while neither of them had anything to do with that, home was better than here.
One run down. Way too many to go.

Re: beginner's luck
"I hereby declare upside-down hyperspace navigation experiment to be a complete success," Jedi Knight Annan Anakin Rainwalker's voice was laced with wit and humour.
<"I hate you,>" was all that came out of Bigweld, on the other ship, through the comm. His YT-1300 he was in command of was still quite downside-up, yet Ani's antics were beginning to fry even his circuits. <"I am never going on a shipment alone with you again, unless Zulara is with us.>
"Oh quit being a spoilsport, you old duck," the blue clouds of hyperspace blew past the upside-down viewport of the YT-2000 Scintillance. Jedi Knight Annan Annakin Rainwalker began to meditate, reaching out to the Force, letting it embrace his heart and soothe his nerves and just enjoy this casual experience while it lasted.
It felt good.
