If You Want Something Done Right
[To answer your question: No, Major, I don't think we'll find anything for you to 'shoot at'], Doren dryly answered over the bulk freighter's comm line, [We shouldn't have anything to worry about any violent encounters once we reach Thalassia]. Vassyl remark was met with muffled mumbling, and concluded with a gruff affirmative characteristic of the Captain's Anzati subordinate. Yes, the task was simple, at least in design. Doren, earnest to take a hands-on approach in his own enterprise, had recently acquired a proper transport to ship his much-desired Hfredium ore from the Mavar Mines on Brosi to the processing facilities on Jaemus. There, the ore would be melted down and infused with imported Chanlon to create a most potent, crimson alloy: Havod.
Vassyl's business collaborators in the manufacturing and shipyard industries had long prepared for a major payday, and once the raw materials were ready, production would begin immediately. This was but one of many steps towards achieving the Ascension Committee's goal of economic growth. And, as a happy consequence, the Navy was guaranteed to benefit from their machinations. Doren, for his part, had every altruism in mind for his Empire. His associates however, were not always so charitable, and independent profits were required if progress was to be made. In time, Vassyl hoped to appeal to his counterparts' patriotic sensibilities, but for now, all he could do was await the ready-check from the representatives from the Black Star group. Though they were traveling light, the convoy had a long journey ahead of them.

Business, just more business, one contract followed by another, that’s what Ryder’s life has become of late. Jumping from one world to another helping the people of the galaxy rebuild after so much endless war. Today was not much different except he was doing a shipping run for a friend and their little illuminati council. Ryder’s shined boots clicked along the durasteel flooring of the Black Star as he made his way to the bridge. He was wearing his usual black trench coat over a set of black and silver Storm commando armor. The final door to the bridge slid open with a hiss and the CEO stepped in.
“Status?” Ryder asked as he moved towards his chair.
“The cargo hold is being sealed up as we speak sir!”
Ryder looked at his holowatch, “we’re five minutes behind schedule.”
“The ground crew said they weren’t staffed to service this many heavy freighters,” the comms officer replied.
Ryder rubbed his black beard in contemplation. “Have Solar Wind Industries send them a shipment of their best workerbots, can’t have our partners underperforming.”
The officer nodded and began putting together a message to Black Stars subsidiary.
Ryder looked at the ship status as the board turned green. “Take is up Mr. Klí, let’s not keep our employer waiting.”
The Action V lifted out of the loading zone and was quickly followed by the Bulk Freighter Solar Anomaly. The two vessels soon joined Captain Vassyls vessels in orbit.
“Captain, good to see you again,” Ryder spoke into the comm. “We are loaded and ready to depart at your leisure.”

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
((OOC: Better start posting, boys! We might have a tenner on our hands.))
Simpla-12 was a planet left behind by the rest of the galaxy. After it had been strip-mined and nothing of value was left, the planet was abandoned and the settlements there had to turn to lives of crime and thievery in order to survive. Muck and mud followed the rains that poured down upon the planet and buildings in the capital city, Sim-First, often sunk down into the unsteady foundation. While the system was technically on the Hydian Way, there was nothing offered in the way of commerce to Simpla-12, as it had nothing to offer those that bothered to come to it, besides a proud spaceport market where smuggled goods were exchanged and information flowed freely.
Buggie was here with one of his confidants, his wingman who was notorious for having no restraint in charging into battle, Liroi Jynkyns. Personally, Buggie disliked Jynkyns, as he had put his life into danger too many times for it to be a coincidence, but the Human gave an air of dimwitted innocence that forced Buggie to keep giving him another chance. Jynkyns, of course, was with the ships, otherwise he'd likely have every piece of equipment on his body stolen away from him. While the possibility of having the ships stolen from them was very real, Buggie had business in the spaceport's market, so he had to count on his partner once more.
Passing off a pouch of Imperial credits, Buggie secured himself a few grav-sled pallets of havod alloy. It wasn't enough for what the research and development station was calling for, but it was a good start. As he directed the labor droids pushing the grav-sleds back to his ship, though, a cloaked figure approached and offered information on a larger shipment passing through the Hydian in exchange for a ride off of the planet.
Normally, Buggie wouldn't budge, but the unusual request to accompany Buggie along the way added some intrigue. If the information was bad, for all he knew, the information provider could be seeing the wrong side of an airlock. Of course, Buggie would never do that, but it did make him think that the information was worthy.
"I'll bite," Buggie replied, gesturing toward one of the grav-sleds, "Come on then, you're helping to load."

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
Silas had for several months now existed beyond the hierarchy of the Sith. As part of Tormentous’s last official acts he had named Silas as High Priest and in so doing removed Silas from the line of succession to become the Dark Lord yet also freed the Sovereign from all but Tormentous’s own commands. As such when the murmurs and hushed tones of an accord being struck between the Sith and the Galactic Empire reached Silas’s ears he disregarded the very premise entirely.
So when the reeling empire began running trade shipments once more so close to Sith territory Silas could not abide it. With shipping freighters utilizing the Hydian Way again Silas sat again within the cockpit of his infamous TIE Defender, allowing Nil to pilot his newly acquired Infiltrator. The pair would make for the last known trade convoys exiting point from the hyperspace route in hopes of deterring future endeavors and perhaps putting an end to the foolish notions of any truce.

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
It wasn't the love boat, but it was a sexy one. The Betrayer floated along shaking its Lambda. It'd bet getting it on in hyperspace soon doing those wicked shuttle things. Zechs let the droid do the piloting. He was busy in back, making the Lambda sweet again.
Dusting. Lots of dusting. Who knew leaving a shuttle sit on Naboo for a while would gathering up dust like it was going out of fashion. And he hadn't even looked at the racks where his armor and other fun time objects would be stored. They were still in their crates along with the emergency supplies and lunch.
The shuttle jiggled. The jump had been made. Maybe he should have checked to see where the droid had decided they'd go...

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
Once seated within the co-pilot's seat in Buggie's Helix-class light interceptor, the cloaked Human began to divulge information on the Imperial shipment of havod alloy. Buggie first pressed the Human on what he knew of the convoy itself; which types of haulers were ferrying the alloy, makeup of any fighter or capital ship escort, and any known waypoints that the convoy would be expected to stop off at. The Human spoke and Buggie immediately recognized his intimacy with the convoy, and that raised its own set of questions.
"How do you know so much about this convoy?" Buggie asked, as the ship traveled through the upper atmosphere of Simpla-12.
In response, the young Human reached into his pocket and withdrew an ID card-- Black Star Systems. The young man revealed himself to be a logistics specialist responsible for contracting shipments such as the one they were pursuing. Black Star, it seemed, was a regular contract holder with the Galactic Empire. The young Human told Buggie that he had been selling knowledge for some time, but he needed to leave Simpla-12 because his knowledge of the inner workings of the company had begun to dry out.
"That," Buggie began, "is something that you should have told me about sooner. Who else knows about this shipment?"
As if Buggie had commanded the floodgates to open, a deluge of words began to flow from the Human's mouth. He had fled Black Star after a Sith assault on one of their headquarters facilities on Sembla. From that point, he had made his way hitching rides on transports to Simpla-12, but it seemed the Sith had pursued him and, ultimately found him. In exchange for his life, he fed them intelligence on Black Star shipping operations, but his information had progressively grown further and further out of date. Sensing that his usefulness to the Sith was running short, he sought Buggie and another opportunity to escape.
By the end of his explanation, it was clear to Buggie that he would be sharing an objective with none other than the Sith. Buggie groaned in frustration.

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
Silas accessed the encrypted com channel that had been linked between his self and his vanguard. “Nil, what reconnaissance do you have on this particular shipment?” There was a moment of silence before the assassin responded, “Well my lord it seems that while I can assure you of its approximate time and location the specifics are not known. The informant I had acquired in order to set up this endeavor has failed to report in.” Silas scowled as he navigated his ship beyond the outer orbit of Korriban. “Wouldn’t it follow that the informant has revealed our interests and the convoy’s schedule been altered?”
Nil answered mockingly, “You wound me my lord. No, I at least tracked his whereabouts. The informant has not returned to imperial space as of yet and hasn’t sent any messages back to his former superiors either. I believe he has fled for fear or reprisal from all parties soon to be involved.” As the pair prepped their first hyperspace jump Silas gave a final inquiry. “Is it possible the individual you’ve been handling is actually cunning? Perhaps he has elected to make a profit from this would be professional suicide.” Nil quickly replied, “Of course master. Though that would simply mean another intercepting party will be joining the fray. Hardly a concern when the goal is to incapacitate the trading convoy.” Silas allowed the subject to be tabled for the time being as both ships coordinated a joint jump to the Hydian Way.

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
The shuttle continued on its hyperspaced trek. Zechs fiddled with the joints on one of the two sets of dark trooper armor he lugged around yet never really saw the point in using. There was overkill, and then there was dark trooper armor.
Deeth strolled in from the cockpit. She made her usual ewok noises about something smelling wrong. Droid leakage or maybe the shuttles filters needed replacing. It had been a while since it travelled long at all without opening up the door for some local fresh air.
Zechs kept on shining the armor. "We'll take a look when we land. Did you decide what you want for lunch?"
Squeaks. Lots of squeaks. It was a wonderful language. It reminded Zechs of baby talk.
"Well, you have the choice between a miscellaneous meat sandwich and a miscellaneous meat sandwich."
It wasn't supposed to be a long journey. Why did they need to pack a feast? Yes, Naboo had spoiled them duck dishes and seeing food from the sea galore. Yes, their tastes had become a little more refined than either of them was used to, but there was a wonder about a simple sandwich. It held power few comprehended. There weren't too many things you can eat with one hand while putting grenades away. Too complicated of a food would only end you up putting the wrong object in your mouth.

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
[Tis a pleasure Mister Ryder], Vassyl cordially answered back, [We're just now spooling up the hyperdrive, it shan't be long now]. "Any word from our escort?", Doren interrogated, seeking an answer among his smaller skeleton crew. "Negative Sir", a younger comm technician answered back, "Shall I hail them once more?". Vassyl eye's narrowed in thought, and then relaxed as the Captain reached his conclusion, "They must have stopped to refuel at Cadomai: we can regroup with them upon our arrival". "Helm, proceed with the jump to lightspeed", Doren commanded, receiving a swift affirmative from his counterpart. This deep within the Corporate Sector, moving two transports to the outer periphery wasn't an unthinkable act with minimal security. Such was the hope anyways.
Once the convoy hit the Hydian, there was no telling what they might encounter. Pirate activity showed no signs of slowing, and the rebels, tenacious as ever, were no incapable of penetrating into the Mid Rim if they so desired it. This was the time in which Vassyl lived, and despite his own martial efforts, some things could not be helped. Still, with a few interceptors and other superiority fighters, the Imperial's shipping presence was hardly something to sneeze at lightly. Those that chose to gamble on attacking such a force did so under the threat of destruction. Though Doren could hardly admire the motives of such rogues, their courage could not be denied. Nonetheless, as the azure curtain of hyperspace blanketed over the Narancia, Vassyl earnestly wished for an uneventful, streamlined delivery.

Re: If You Want Something Done Right
Ryder glanced at the scanners as his two freighters aligned with the naval Captains own vessels. There was no sign of armed escort, something the CEO didn’t take well. With a deep breath he threw his unease aside and decided to trust his friend had everything planned out.
“Hyperspace coordinates received, Sir!” The voice of the navigations officer broke into Ryder’s thoughts.
“Wonderful,” he replied, “engage hyperdrives on their signal.”
Moments past and soon the view port was filled with the swirling blue maw known as hyperspace. Ryder’s shoulders sagged slightly as he knew for the time being they were relatively safe from any pesky interlopers. After several minutes of peace the business man opened up a channel with Captain Vassyl.
“So I must ask,” Ryder began as Doren’s hologram appeared. “Are we going for the unassuming convoy or did someone forget to set their alarm?”
