Outland Mining - Flight 1220 - Blue Star Pirates

**Outer Rim Territories**
**Demetras Sector, P-6**
**Salin Corridor, Phindar System**

Escort had been sacrificed in favor of cargo volume once the materiel needs for Cresh Fleet had been made known to the Pirate Council. The twin transports of Outland Mining Company had penetrated both Imperial and Sith territories in the past relatively unscathed and now had been called upon to deliver two full cargo holds packed with food, medical supplies, and armaments that Cresh Fleet required and could not procure for themselves. Buggie could have easily left the piloting of Outland 02 to his right-hand man, the former Antarian Ranger Gary Storm, and piloted an escort starfighter, but it was deemed that two Action V transports were relatively innocuous, while a starfighter of any variety was sure to attract some attention by any star system's patrols.

"Okay now, plotting course to the Maridun system," Storm announced as he fiddled with the R1-series astromech droid that had been bolted into its station behind and to the right of Storm's console on the bridge.

Storm had caught on to piloting the bulky transport craft, which was not a skill that he had ever been made to do within the Antarian Rangers. After several months, his experience had begun to show, and Buggie knew that he could pilot the cargo freighter on his own. Astronavigation, on the other hand, was a skill that Storm never quite excelled at, though, which necessitated the purchase of the R1-series astromech droid. The droid almost exclusively interfaced with the navicomputer and calculated nearly all the jumps from system to system, once Buggie had decided upon the best route to take.

The droid chirped a series of tones, and the navicomputer indicated that the route had been calculated on to the next system. Within a few minutes, the twin transports of Outland Mining were in position to make the jump into hyperspace.

**Outer Rim Territories**
**Gordian Reach, P-6**
**Junction-Tierell Loop, Bronsoon System**

After a quick jump from Phindar to Maridun, Buggie and Storm made a subsequent hyperspace jump from Maridun to the trading world of Bronsoon. The route itself was little-used and was slower than the hyperroute used previously, but navigation between the systems was possible. The conditions on the Bronsoon were little known to the rest of the galaxy, due to the isolation that being a Sith-conquered territory brought, but according to the ship's computer, Bronsoon was once a trading port founded by Human colonists. Travelers to the world were advised to avoid eye contact with local Bronsoonians, since there were strict laws governing gender and caste relations. That was a nugget of information that intrigued Buggie and Storm, though they wouldn't have to worry about obeying those regulations, as they were bound for another system.

The two transports of Outland group would follow the Junction-Tierrel Loop from the Bronsoon system all the way to its terminus at the Arkuda system. From the Arkuda system, Storm and Buggie expected to see the fringe of the large interstellar nursery of the Gordian Reach, known as the Roil. The Korphir Trace, the only known navigable stretch along the southern boundary of the dense nebula, would take them from Akuda to Korphir, where they would then skirt the eastern boundary of the nebula along the Feena Run. Each stop from Arkuda forward would carry the brilliant haze of the nebula, but there was little opportunity to marvel at the stars. Any one of Buggie and Storm's waypoints could be occupied by a Sith patrol looking to run an inspection. They needed to keep focused on the latest information they had to ensure that wouldn't happen.

As the astromech droid let out another chirp from its station, the navcomputer reflected that the transport group was ready to jump again. After confirming the coordinates, Buggie initiated the hyperdrive and sent the Outland group on to Arkuda.

**Outer Rim Territories**
**Gordian Reach, Q-6**
**Korphir Trace, Korphir System**

"Seems to be quiet," Storm observed, as the twin transports moved along the Korphir system's regular transit lanes.

No patrols were on Outland 02's sensor screen, which indicated that everything was proceeding as planned. Still, Buggie and Storm had agreed to stay alert in the event that Korphir's security forces or, worse yet, a Sith patrol attempted to inspect them. Korphir was a more urbanized world than Bronsoon, and that meant its security forces were likely to be more active and better equipped. Storm and Buggie had completed their regular maintenance inspections while in transit to Korphir. It would be more dangerous for them to leave the bridge now than when they were in hyperspace.

After an uneventful advance through the Korphir system's transit lanes, Buggie and Storm confirmed the coordinates that the astromech droid had loaded into the navicomputer and made their jump onto the Feena Run to The Cometwash.

**Outer Rim Territories**
**Gordian Reach, Q-6**
**Feena Run, The Cometwash**

Two transports from Outland group emerged from hyperspace in the star system known as The Cometwash. The system's primary star, a blue giant, was surrounded by swarms of comets, each a ball of ice and rock that left a brilliant trail in its wake. Before the Sith had conquered the Gordian Reach, The Cometwash was a system where spacers often stopped to observe while their navicomputers verified jump calculations. Since the system was in such proximity to the dense nebula known as The Roil, double checking such calculations were crucial.

"High solar flare activity coming from the system's primary," Buggie observed, looking over the shipboard console, "EM shields are active, but sensors are affected."

After only a few minutes of proceeding in toward the system, a pair of Gamma-class ATR-6 assault transports that were towing Sith patrol craft flew in on either side of Outland 02. These assault transports had evidently cleared the way for Outland group to proceed in toward The Cometwash by intercepting and capturing a Sith patrol. The assault transports were undoubtedly part of the raid group that had assembled in the Gordian Reach, and which Buggie and Storm were now delivering supplies to.

Hours later, the twin Action V transports had rendezvoused with the hidden Blue Star Pirate raid group and were commencing their resupply operation. Droids that were specialized for cargo loading and unloading had already begun deactivating the magnetic locks on each cargo container and were hauling them into the massive holds of the assembled raid group's flagship for further distribution.
