Letting Go

Post by Neive Undant » Fri Jun 08, 2018 3:02 am

Aaida arrived at Naboo, about 3 days after the attack that saw her allies killed and her Commander captured... she came for at least some sort of closure for Neive... though a missing in action report was far from closure...

As Aaida walked towards the record hall and looked at the many data files, she thought... how long did these files go back to?

However, she had a job to do. She couldn't boondoggle. So, as she walked to the computer and filled out a report for the recon mission outside Bonadon... there were many emotions going through her mind.
Where could Neive be now? What could they have done to him? Was... was he still alive?

She looked at Neive's file, and requested the edit... within minutes, it changed.

Neive Undant

Race: Dathomiri Zabrak

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 218lbs

Status: MIA

Aaida sighed as she looked at the screen in front of her... she had to find Neive, one way or the other.

*2 days later*
*Naboo*
**GA intelligence center**

Aaida made her way to the offices of Galactic Alliance Intel, once again on a mission. As she approached the front desk, she had questions on her mind... she needed answers.
“I’m looking for someone who can help me track a prisoner.”
The desk clerk nodded. “Down the hall, 2nd door on your right. Incarceration division should have what you need.”
Aaida nodded and walked, following the young woman’s directions and entered a small office, an older man sitting in the desk. There was a small name plate on the desk.
“Commander Patrick Biersack”

As Aaida looked at the man, a passion was in her eyes for he mission she needed to gain information on.
“What can’t i do for you?” Biersack spike, his voice grizzly.
“I’m sorry to bother you, sir, but I would like to ask you for help.”
Biersack nodded, looking at a few files. “Alright. Before I can do anything, I need your name. After that, tell me what you need.”
“My name is Aaida Grintori, formerly of the delta squadron. I’m looking for my commander, who was captured by the Empire...”
Biersack looked up. “An intelligence officer... you know that the Intel division doesn’t send resources to rescue captives... they know what they’re getting into once they sign up.”
“Yes, sir, I understand. But not only is this subject a force user, making him a valuable asset, but he’s also of the Dathomiri race, making his kind endangered.”
The man thought for a moment. “Hm... are there any other reasons you want him rescued?”
Aaida thought for a minute. “... personal attachment, sir.” Biersack nodded, looking back at his files.

“Well, seeing as you’re an intelligence officer, I trust that if you do find him using the information I give ou, then you can rescue him yourself.”

“I’ll do what I can, sir.” Aaida wasn’t confident in her abilities, but for Neive... she’d Kill the empress herself if it meant seeing him again.

Biersack nodded and looked to his files. “Your commander... Neive Undant, currently MIA after the encounter with inferno squad above Bonadon... apparently their leader is Rhoden Carbine, a shadow in the Alliance’s eye, but a fairly accomplished individual, going by recent events. Felucia, alpha base, trenwyth and Roche, all four of them with some kind of tie to commander Undant... seems the two had quite the rivalry.” The man thought it over for a second. “His transportation took him off the grid. Some kind of high-level imperial facility that is off their records. None of our men have even gotten there, all they’ve heard was the name ‘Utopia.’ Nothing else about it is known. But from there, our intel shows a new individual... code-named Prazutis. We suspect he has custody of Commanders Undant, as midichlorian readings indicate that Undant’s count has been traveling with Prazutis. So, he has him. Currently, there’s a prisoner transport aiming for... Celanon from the place unknown to us. If you go to celanon, you should be able to intercept. Information shows Prazutis is on board... so we can deduce that Neive will be there, too.” Biersack looked up, standing. “You have everything we do now, take it as you may.” He looked to the girl, putting his hand out.

As she shook it, she smiled a bit. “Thank you, sir... I’ll do my best.”
Biersack smiled, nodding. “Bring him home, soldier...”

Aaida exited the room and the building, in her hand now a small communicator... perhaps this man did give her some physical help after all?

When Undant went missing, no one in the shadowy fragmented echelons of Division 31 blinked an eye. They knew from history, observations on his character and conduct as well as passive study since he came to their attention that it was only a matter of time. Whether he went full renegade, complete turncoat or simply -as the case was- vanished into the night, he was not long for the Alliance life. Some might have read this as an unfortunate circumstance, a lost soldier in an unforgiving battlefield. Thirty-One wasn't so soft hearted, where others saw tragedy they saw intent. Coincidence, they saw machinations. They were a bundle of worst-case-scenario thinkers with the backing of second-to-none intelligence gathering operation. What concerned them now, wasn't that Neive had walked, but that others wouldn't think to follow.

The building loomed above Norongachi, the bustle of Theed bustling around him. His hands jammed in his pockets, his face impassive. He could have been waiting, he could have been admiring, it would have been hard for a less discerning eye to tell. All that changed when a woman took her leave of the threshold. Somewhere in that building, their eyes had told them of her meeting, and before that others had kept tabs upon her and anyone else Neive Undant had had any significant contact. Even now, all Salem had to do was issue an inquiry and he would know the last time any of them emptied their bowels. He had warned Undant, the first and last time they had met.

"Aaida Grintori." It wasn't a question. "Division 31, have a minute?"

As Aaida looked over the comm, she heard a voice call out to her. As she looked up at the figure, an innocent confusion crossed her face. Honestly, she had no idea why she was being summoned. Surely it was about Neive, but what exactly did the man want from her?
“Division 31, have a minute?”
Division 31... she heard the name maybe once or twice, but she had no idea what exactly it was...

“Sure... is there a problem?” She put the comm away and walked towards the man, slightly interested in what he had to say.

After about 10 minutes of discusson between the two, Aaida left once more. Apparently, Aaida thought, they misunderstood the circumstances. Did anyone really think Neive would join the empire? He once obliterated an ASSD, he wiped out a small fleet of fighters in the name of the Alliance... why would anyone think that he would have left so quickly?
Even if they did think so, she said to herself, she would prove them wrong... Neive was a Prisoner of War. And she planned to return him home...
