The New Republic is gone. To combat the corruption that ravaged it, the Galactic Alliance was created as a looser governing organization where greater power was retained by its member worlds and organizations, while still coming together in their common causes, concerns, and defense. The Alliance stands against evil and oppression as a beacon of justice and freedom in a galaxy torn by war. Along with their Jedi allies, they aim to push back against the darkness and usher in a golden age of peace and prosperity.
There are two main organizations that compose the main structure of the Galactic Alliance. These are the Civilian Government and the Allied Commands.

The civilian government is responsible for handling the numerous jobs of any planetary civil government: including protecting the people, revenue gathering, maintenance of vital services, foreign relations, and policy making. Many of these responsibilities were retained by each member world/organization but under the guidance of the unifying government established by Galactic Alliance Common Charter, including the Executive Branch, the Senate, and the Judiciary.

The Alliance Civilian Ministers:
Minister of State: The Minister of State is responsible for overseeing the civilian portion of the Alliance Cabinet, as well as handling relations with non-member governments. There are a number of departments that are not represented on the Advisory Council and the Chiefs of these departments report directly to the Minister of State.
Minister of Finance: Oversees budgets, spending, and income from Alliance worlds and supporters.
Minister of Trade & Industry: The Minister of Trade & Industry is responsible for the Alliance's production efforts and handles the production of items, weapons, ships, droids, and vehicles.
Minister of Education: Oversees the Alliance Academy and develops curriculum for its many programs. The programs that fall under the Minister's direction do not only include training for future military officers, but also intensive training for civilian roles within the government.
Minister of Logistics: Overseer of civilian operations that deal with the procurement, distribution, maintenance, and replacement of Alliance personnel, vessels, items, raw materials, and droids.
Minister of Justice: The Minister of Justice oversees the Justice Department and channels all legal matters through its three branches. The Alliance Justice Department is an executive department of the Ministry of State. It is split into three branches: judicial, prosecution, and defense. All three work to serve truth, the law and order.
Minister of Diplomacy: Overseer and administrator of all propaganda or diplomatic affairs within the Alliance. The Alliance Diplomacy Command is the Alliance's elite group of diplomats tasked with foreign affairs and public representation. Maintenance of contact with allies, friends and neutral groups is part of the Alliance Diplomacy Command's responsibility, but also negotiation and mediation on behalf and interest of the Alliance.
The Allied Commands were the individual military organizations of worlds, organizations, and groups that were members of the Alliance. Each Allied Command varied slightly depending on how each member world was organized, though in practice Allied Commands mimicked the structure of the Alliance High Command. Together under the Alliance High Command, they form the Galactic Alliance Defense Force.
Navy Command:
This department is responsible for Naval Operations. Navy Command is headed by the Chief of Naval Command. The High Admiral, besides being the operation commander, also oversees the training, organization, and deployment of the fleet, giving the Navy Command supreme power over the Alliance fleet. Each task force is charged with following the orders of the Alliance leadership and pushing back against those standing in the way of freedom. They often call upon local cells to assist in their operations.
Starfighter Command:
This department within Navy Command oversees the control of all Alliance starfighter squadrons. It is responsible for training new pilots, assigning squadrons to the fleet, and loaning squadrons to sector forces for important missions. This command is considered one of the more difficult to manage, as it regularly has to deal with multiple requests for squadrons while faced with limited available resources.
Special Forces and Army Command:
Composed of the Alliance ground forces. Special Forces are small in number, due to the fact that most armies are local forces. The SpecForces are elite forces marked by excellence of training, brilliant leadership, and high morale. SpecForce units defend High Command, are attached to the Fleet, and aid local sector forces across the Galaxy.
Intelligence:
Alliance Intelligence is responsible for obtaining and analyzing military, diplomatic and economic information and reporting such information to the relevant branches of the Alliance.
Support Services:
Alliance Support Services oversees the fleet of transport and cargo craft maintained by the Alliance. Support Services also maintains all Alliance hospital ships and safeworlds. While not as glamorous as Navy or Starfighter Command, it is nonetheless one of the most crucial.
Ordinance and Supply:
This department was responsible for providing adequate supplies for the military, such as foodstuffs, fuel, spare parts, weapons, etc. In practice, Ordinance and Supply maintained only the fleet and starfighter units, leaving each sector force responsible for maintaining their own local ground forces. OaS works closely with the Minister of Logistics within the civilian government.
Irregulars:
Allied groups/individuals who fight alongside the Alliance military but don’t fall under the command of an allied entity. To be considered an irregular, one must agree to abide by Alliance law, rules of engagement, and other policies. Irregulars operate under the command of their associated branch.
Privateers:
Groups/individuals authorized by the Alliance to engage in piracy against hostile entities, emphasizing the liberation of slaves and cargo destined for use in hostile acts. Seizing humanitarian aid and similar cargo is prohibited as is harming any civilians on the transports. Privateers operate under the auspices and guidance of Alliance Intelligence. They occasionally take on a greater role for special operations.
Division 31:
There is no division 31.
(Division 31 is an officially-nonexistent and autonomous clandestine organization. They claim to protect the security interests of the Alliance, believing peace requires vigilance and a moral cost. There’s no line their agents won’t cross. The loose network that binds their agents makes Division 31 both highly adaptable and unpredictable.
No bases. No chain of command. Recognizable only by the identifies they assume. They are a wild rumor on the lips of the insane. They are the dark secret within the light that is the Alliance. They are Division 31.)

The Jedi Coalition
The Jedi Coalition backs the Alliance, when it stands for its values, but is not a member organization. They are the only force tradition recognized by the Alliance. Its members are Alliance citizens, but the Alliance has no direct control of the Coalition.
Relationship status: it’s complicated.
The Blue Star Pirates
The on again off again relationship has led to many successes and an equal number of awkward exchanges. No pirate works for free and no noble cause likes getting dirt on its shining armor, but the galaxy be crazy.

Thermal Detonators
Corellian Spark Grenade
See the Code of Conduct sticky for more information.
The Rogue Policy:
The legendary Rogue squadron is out there. They just won’t ever take part in an rp. They’re always off doing something more important than anything we are. Their actions are the stuff of stories. Their deeds the whisper that sends a chill down Imperial spines. They are legends, and legends are always busy.
Rogue Squadron is currently under the direct command of Chief of Military Operations Wedge Antillies. Designation: Rogue Zero.
This “Rogue Policy” extends to any elite cannon unit, unless otherwise noted. They are legends, and nothing we can rp can do them justice.
The Joining Policy:
Positions within the Alliance are earned. Prior experience on the site shall be taken into consideration, but it is the general policy of the Alliance that no new member will start in a high ranking position.
