Ani Force App Test

[Masterful Lightsaber Combat training - 1074/1000 Words]

With each passing breath, the Jedi Knight Annan Rainwalker, garbed entirely in the white armor that had earned him the moniker 'White One', immersed himself deeper and deeper into the luminescent folds of the Light Side of the Force. Not that it was noticeable in any way behind the visor of his helmet, but his eyes took on a faraway look as his perceptions heightened. Slowly, the Jedi Knight stood up from his crouched position on the ground and turned around, unclipping the lightsaber from his side.

With a snip-hiss, he ignited the green plasma blade and moved, the canary gold blade of the Temple Guard in front of him grazing the edge of Annan's robe, close enough to leave a singe mark.

'He's not holding back,' Annan's eyes narrowed behind his helmet before he willed his body to move. 'I guess I shouldn't eith-'

The Jedi Knight could not even properly finish the thought, as the Temple Guard moved with blinding speed. Instinctively, Annan shifted into his Soresu stance, centering himself in the eye of the storm and bringing his viridescent blade up to lock it against the egg-yolk colored laser sword of the Temple Trainer he was sparring with.

If one could call this a spar.

'So fast! It's as if he's really trying to kill me,' Jedi Rainwalker thought, perturbed, as he deflected the yellow blade before twirling in an arc away from the Temple Guard, who kept up his graceful yet unyielding onslaught, 'except he's a Temple Guard, and not a Sith Lord, and on top of that, I sense no ill intent from hi-'

Eyes widening behind his visor, the White One ducked out of pure instinct as his opponent's yellow blade sizzled through the smoldering air where his head had been two seconds prior.

Annan quickly leapt back, using the Force to augment his speed in retreat. With some effort, he succeeded in putting some distance between himself and the Temple Guard.

"You can sense the difference in our skills, even though you're stronger in the Force than I am," the Temple Guard spoke, voice distorted behind his mask. He twirled his yellow bladed lightsaber in his hand before continuing, for Annan's benefit. "Feel it. Probe for it. What is the difference in the way we fight?"

Jedi Rainwalker, panting, simply stared back from behind the visor, contemplating the Temple Guard's words. Standing straight, the White One closed his eyes and once again plunged himself deep into the Force. He felt the threads of light originating from his core and binding him to everything around him; the grass, the trees, the clearing outside the Temple, and the heavens above; the galaxy at large. He felt the infinitely numerous threads of light between himself and the Senior Temple Guard.

Annan brought all of his senses into focus. He probed deeper into his own self; into every power the Light Side enabled him to wield, into every skill he had been born with or accumulated over the years. Into everything that made him who he was. All of that was a part of him, a part of his Light. Within moments, the Pupil of Xin had plunged himself into the depths of his core and found the answers he had been looking for, veils in the Force lifting before his inner sight.

The Force spoke without words, its intent one of reminder. Shii-Cho, the First Form or the Way of the Sarlacc. The Determination Form had been Annan Rainwalker's introduction to lightsaber combat. Yet, Annan had gone several steps farther, aiming to master the form, to specialize in it. Annan had mastered it, before he had been captivated by the elegance of the Third Form. Soresu was what both Master Xin and Master Buggie specialized in, and seeing them, Annan followed, until he had truly mastered the style, becoming even more proficient in it than in Shii-Cho. Even then, he had felt in his meditations upon the Cosmic Force that something was missing and Annan had been watching holocrons and reading old tomes containing the teachings of the Old Masters. Something about the way Grand Master Yoda and his final apprentice, the Grand Master Skywalker, moved in their fights had captivated Annan, and thus he had somersaulted his way into a bit of Ataru as well.

Yet now, for the first time, as Annan saw the Temple Guard making his way towards him, his sense of danger in the Force blaring klaxons about the Guard's intent to strike him down, did Annan truly realize why he had thus far felt so hollow and incomplete every time he engaged in lightsaber combat.

It came suddenly, an unveiling in the Force.

Annan recalled his earliest combat lessons from his master, Han Xin. It was not how strong or capable he was with the blade, it was how he wielded it and how vigilant he was for any openings his opponent left him to take. He had to become whole in himself, the light blade an extension of his entire being. One soul. The saber must become more than a mere tool. It must become a conduit. It must become all of who he was.

Back then, Annan had not been able to understand - he hadn't been ready. Now, however, the White One understood.

Annan felt the Force feeding every muscle in his body with its radiant, transcendent fuel. Consequently, the Jedi could practically see the Temple Guard slowing down as the latter brought his lightsaber down to strike. Annan moved his green light blade with such speed that left the Temple Guard momentarily stunned, parrying the latter's yellow blade with a deflecting slash.

... Soresu...

Annan refused to relent there; the White One flipped over the Temple Guard and spun around in the air, bringing his green lightsaber down towards the Temple Guard's head. The Temple Guard, however, recovered momentarily, bringing his own yellow blade up to parry Annan's acrobatic, aerial strike.

... Ataru...

However, Annan switched movement mid-air, twisting the lightsaber around in the palm of his hand and holding it in a reverse grip before slashing straight through the hilt of the Temple Guard's blade. The yellow plasma snap-hissed out of existence as the hilt was cleaved in two.

... the Sun Djem!...

Landing before a disarmed Temple Guard, Annan brought his palm forwards to telekinetically bring the two pieces of the Temple Guard's lightsaber into his own hand before he finished the fight with bringing his own viridescent plasma sword at the Temple Guard's neck in a blur of a movement.
