A New Training Center (Warvanus, Training)

Post by Kell Sangros » Sun Mar 04, 2018 7:19 pm

Warvanus , had made use of one of the gyms on Sojourn, he was given the entire building by Lord Blood. He would make excellent use of this place as for now it was his new home. He looked at the training droids, he had equipped each with a stun baton at the lowest setting. The first of two droid took aim and jabbed him with the weapon. The baton hit Warvanus in the chest, internally he had tried to call upon the Force but it was futile as the stun bolt paralyzed him. After the effects wore off, Warvanus began to muse on the ability he was trying to wrestle from the Force. That was to resist the effects of stun bolts. In a way it was a cousin of Absorb/dissipate energy only this was internal. He could not dissipate it he would have to absorb it. He would need to be ready for it but how could he anticipate future attacks like this and be successful? He would require a lot of practice once he got the technique down.

Again” he told the first training droid

Warvanus called upon the Force, its endless pool of energy filled him throughout his core. He focused inwardly through the Force he felt his body functions working flawlessly, his heart beating, the flow of his blood, the communication from the brain to his extremities flowing like a river, a network connection going to and from. The Stun bolt hit Warvanus; he was ready as he felt the intruding energy in his chest. He encompassed his will on the intruder seeking to contain it with his own energy, He willed the Force to surround the intruder to contain its effects. Something at the edge of his consciousness distracted him, and the efforts were all wasted as once again the stun bolt engulfed Warvanus temporarily paralyzing him. He fell to his knees as the stun bolt coursed through him. It was several moments before he rose to his feet again.

Once again he drew on the Force pouring his anger at his lack of being able to grasp this ability, once more the energy surged through him from his core outward to his fingertips, to his toes, To the hair on his head. Through his will he put his focus into submission.

Again” he barked

The Stun baton once again found its mark at Warvanus’ chest, he could feel the intruding energy and with his own energy he willed it to surround the energy from the baton, his energy encompassed it like a bubble, he had it contained; now he would will the bubble to shrink around the energy from the stun baton. Using the Force he immersed himself inward through mental commands he urged the bubble to shrink around the energy from the stun baton. The bubble responded to his mental commands. Slowly the bubble shrank itself. He urged the bubble to merge with the energy from the stun baton, making it his own energy. In his mind’s eye the two collided and he deepened his focus inward drawing the energy from the baton, merging it with the summoned energy of the Force.

The Two energies fought for dominance, if it was Warvanus’ energy that would win then he would be successful, if it was the energy from the baton then he would have failed yet again. Slowly the energy from the baton absorbed into the Force energy that Warvanus had summoned. He intensified his concentration his sheer will refuse to succumb to the effects of the baton. After what felt like an eternity but in reality only seconds had passed the energy from the baton was no longer there, he had successfully absorbed it into his own energy.

He received no boost in strength or power in the Force. He did not care about that, he was successful. After 3 tries he was successful. The stun batons were at their lowest setting so it was more of an irritant. Had it been on a stronger setting, he would have maybe had 2 tries maximum before having to recover strength. The next step would be he would continue to practice, gradually having the baton’s setting raised. He would eventually master this power.

Much like the other abilities through the Force he would practice and own this power. Once mastered it would add another element to invincibility on the battle field. He looked at the droids and through the Force he flipped the switch to deactivate them *Telekinesis* and turned on his heel to leave the training gym.

Inside the new training room on Sojourn, where both Warvanus and his agent Vector now would use to train and hone their skills found themselves inside the spacious room ready to train. Vector had displayed a sensitivity to the Force, it was enough to warrant his attention but it was not enough to train him as a full sith. He would teach him some techniques that would make him a more valuable asset. He would never be able to move objects with the Force but some basic control and sense techniques would elevate him above a normal operative. Vector now stood almost at attention, his arms behind his back, Warvanus standing before him.

He did not say anything to his operative, he simply stared at him. Warvanus opened himself to the Force, he could feel his presence he narrowed his eyes as if in concentration, he sought to touch his mind. He knew he would not be able to manipulate it, though he knew such techniques existed. No his purpose was a necessary skill one his former Master used often. He sought to speak to him through the Force. He had studied about this technique.

He knew he would not be able to speak audible thoughts to his operative, no that feat required a lot of practice. The easiest measure of success would be to plant a simple idea into his operative’s mind.

I am going to test you, I want you to act on any idea that bubbles to your mind

Vector merely nodded “Yes Milord” he said simply.

Warvanus had told him early on that he was not his Master but his Superior. With the expectations set Warvanus began the attempt.

He called on the Force, tapping into its’ infinite pool of energy. He took that energy and extended his awareness. He could feel his operative who was standing in front of him. He wrapped his senses around him as if wrapping up in a warm blanket. He touched Vector’s mind. He could see inside his mind. One central area with many canals each containing pools of energy going to and from it, each one going in another direction, in each one he could see energy, something in the Force told him that these were the thought processes. He let his awareness immerse itself into one of these currents. “Kneel” he thought to himself, it was a simple command, one he was not sure that he would hear, it was a command that he repeated, over and over and over.
Vector could feel a tugging on his mind. As if someone intruded upon it. Not violate it outright but he could feel something different as if he was sharing his mind. He did not resist, he did not fight it despite the overwhelming urge to do so it gave him an odd feeling. Outside of that he heard nothing in his mind.

Nothing Milord” he told him

His senses still immersed into the mind of his operative, Again he saw the currents of energy going outward from that central location. He would try a different current, focusing deeper in the Force , he felt his senses being nudged towards one current in particular. This current was more active than the last one he tried. If it were a river current it would be very rough and treacherous to navigate in. He withdrew his senses from the first canal of current and let his senses immerse into this one canal. His awareness wrapped itself around and inside the current. It was as if he was bathing in it. He could hear Vector’s voice , words and whispers going very fast , Warvanus deduced that this was Vector’s thoughts and impulses, while he could hear his voice and knew words were being thought he could not decipher them. He focused on the whispers and thoughts for a moment. He could hear Vector’s voice as if it was layered upon itself over and over again one moment, and the next it sounded like thousands of whispers all going at once. He spent a brief moment listening, the longer he listened the more congested the layered voices and whispers became. He intensified his concentration shutting out all noises and influence until all he could hear was the pool of coherent and incoherent thoughts that Vector was thinking and feeling.

He felt fully immersed in Vector’s mind. He was certain that he could perceive the intrusion. He once again thought “Kneel” still going with the simple command he would think it over and over. He was not sure if he was having
Any form of success, as there was no real way to know if his machinations were bearing any fruit. With each thought of the command he intensified his focus, he could feel his limits being reached and had wondered if this would
Be a futile effort when suddenly Vector dropped to his knee and knelt before him. He knew that he only knelt because he was commanded to do whatever thought that bubbled to the surface.

He came back to himself, as he withdrew the connection, he looked at Vector

You are dismissed

Warvanus had taken his shuttlecraft and traveled to a nearby habitable moon not far from Sojourn. It had no name, he did not want to deface any of Sojourn’s environment considering what the world had been through in years past. The shuttle landed without incident and Warvanus took a short hike coming up to the mountain face, it was a steep mountain one he would need gear to climb, if he were to climb it. He thought better and backtracked a bit.

He stood a good distance away from the mountain side. He looked up at it would he be able to do this? Would he be successful? The size of the mountain trickled seeds of doubt into the mind of Warvanus. Would it shake his confidence? He would not back off from this challenge he placed upon himself.

He let his awareness extend to the side of the mountain, unseen fingers immersing themselves into the mountainside like a hand grazing the surface. He felt each imperfection; It was a blemish through the Force. His invisible claws moved upwards the higher he went the more he could perceive the imperfections through the Force, the lack of stability stood out like a swollen thumb. Inch by inch he scaled the side of this mountain; He had found the mountain’s shatter point. If he pulled there it would take the mountain side down in a heap of rubble. The shatter point he perceived through the Force was like a big glowing area, drawing attention to his awareness and his perceptions. He had only grazed the surface, but he learned enough to know how to bring it down.

With the Force he had held his hand out and with a gesture he moved it aside as if he was swatting off a fly. Invisible claws tore at the mountain side, only nothing had happened with the mountain side. The only noise was that of distant birds. The side did not collapse. Not even a boulder would fall because of his efforts. Again he extended his hand and moved it in a downward motion. The focal points pushed beyond their tolerances, the shatter point pulled and still nothing happened. Those invisible claws had wrapped themselves around thin air. He balled his hands into fists. Anger began to rise as with futility he tried to pull the mountain side down, he pushed his will to the mountain, it like his previous efforts was unrelenting. He let out a scream in frustration as the areas he knew that would do this were unyielding. He pressed against each spot with his mind, he focused hard as he forced his will on the unsuspecting mountain side. It was like running headfirst into a durasteel wall. Maybe it was a mental barrier that he had placed on himself. He closed his eyes and in his mind’s eye could see the mountain side he knew where the critical points to hit were. The size of it should not matter, and as if he had an epiphany, Size had bearing on the power of the Force. This limitation was in his mind. He would not give into it as he opened his eyes and his hungry radioactive yellow eyes set sight on his prey.

He took a cleansing deep breath, inhaled determination and persistence, exhaled doubt and limitations, which brought him into focus and brought his rage under control. He held out both hands as if he was reaching for the mountain side standing at the distance he was, and with a gesture of both his hands he brought them down as if he was physically tearing into the mountain side, along with a single thought and a slight exertion of his will, and with a dash of an effort in the Force, With his mind he had pushed all the focal points, this time yielded to the mental commands. Pebbles and dust began to rain down the mountain side as one by one he pushed with the Force those small critical spots in the mountain side. The pebbles and dust came down like a downpour.

The invisible hands grabbed the area that was the shatter point and at his mental command had pulled pouring his anger into the effort, like the focal points the shatter point also yielded under his command, Slowly, the boulders began to free themselves and rain down the mountain like a domino effect, disturb one topple many. With one boulder freed, several others also collapsed and began their descent upon down the mountain side. It collapsed like a house of playing cards. Their descent roared like a earthquake during a torrential downpour as the boulders and stones rained down, some colliding with others and splintering into smaller rocks. Their impact on the ground shook the nearby area where Warvanus stood. The noise and motion of it did disturb nearby wildlife, creatures who knew better to stay away, It had also disturbed the otherwise quiet landscape as this mountain suffered a grave wound In the form of a the Sith warrior who stood a bit distance away.

It was a long time before the noises abated and the dust settled; when it all cleared the mountain itself appeared to have suffered a mortal wound as one whole side of the mountain seemed to have collapsed in on itself. On the remainder of the mountain stood at the top a couple boulders, its formation made it look like a brown pointed icicle. With one hand he pushed out in the direction of the wayward boulder. The Boulder slowly freed itself as if by an invisible command and like the rest of the side of the mountain it fell, this was much quieter but it still produced noise as if it were an avalanche, the boulders colliding with other debris in its impact, causing the renegade rock to break into several smaller pieces. The look of the mountain side was like a gaping wound, maybe set by a nuclear device or something. While he had done no physical labor to bring the mountain down, the exertion he felt by drawing so heavily on the Force and pushing his ability to focus and concentrate beyond their known limits, the fatigue he was barely aware of had turned into pure exhaustion, he felt beyond spent. He had stepped outside of himself to push himself further and harder than he had ever known, at least that’s how he felt. It had seeped into his tired muscles all the way into the joints themselves. He was mentally exhausted, the simplest tasks seeming to be tiring him even more mentally. He needed physical rest and relaxation to recharge the body and mind, and meditation.

He had studied his handiwork, and began to laugh aloud. “Size matters not indeed’ he thought to himself as he realized now that he had been successful in breaking through that mental barrier of limitation. It was common among sith apprentices and Jedi padawans. He was no different much to his irritation. He had put more effort into this than the ceiling not so long ago. He had not attempted this kind of a feat since that fateful day. The Force truly had no limits as long as the user did not place them on themselves. He needed to remember that. He felt that in this aspect of the Force had been strengthened in him. Which he knew would allow him to tap into new abilities that he could not have done previously.

He would not back off from this challenge he placed upon himself. He was not going to try to bring the mountain itself down, but he was going for a small portion of it. Location: Sojourn, Warvanus’ complex, rooftop

He had come to the rooftop as he had now often did to meditate and to get away from things when needed. This day he needed to meditate He had laid down his lightsaber in front of him, as well as his datapad. He needed to get back to basics, as he felt by doing this he could further his quest on the road to power.
Begin Level 8 App

Time and experience were valuable teachers, especially when one’s knowledge of the Force kept growing; among these would be teachers, failure was also a great teacher. The latter of these seeming to be Warvanus’ sole instructor as of late. Through his failures he had learned a lot, in the nature of the Force and the limitations that he had on his command and control of it. Though the nature of the Force was not a singular thing nor was it a constant thing, he had felt he had a small glimpse, for his life at least. All this passed through his fractured mind like water flowing in a river as he began his meditation on the rooftop.

He called upon the Dark Side of the Force, pouring his anger into the Force as he gathered it to himself, Anger at his failures in trying to increase his ability to manipulate objects with the Force in the physical realm. He let his anger at the abandonment which was still like an open wound in his psyche. Anger at the times he had displayed ineptitude. The humidity of this moon only added to his irritation. It would not distract him in his physical uncomforting state, for all these things he used as fuel to call on the Darkside. These emotions enhanced his focus, made him stronger, renewed his resolve as well as refresh him when he was weary. He could perceive the energy around him and drew it into himself. It was the same energy that made all things, himself, this building, his lightsaber, the moon itself. It was a simple but profound truth. Everything was made from the same energy, the Force was that energy, every time he meditated, pondered on this simple truth, the more profound it became to him, he always felt he took something new away whenever he meditated on this. He Enticed the Force he was gathering with the fuel of his emotions and his will to summon the energies around him. He let the Force wash over him, stilling his breathing, lowering his heart rate, lowering the blood flow thus lowering his blood pressure. He was far from controlling these things to where he could enter a hibernation trance. This ability at the present was beyond him. The Force flowing inside him was like a flood of warmth in a cold room, a feast eaten after being hungry for so long. It was in one word rejuvenating.

He could perceive the currents around him; he extended his awareness to the objects in front of him. He let his mind graze the surface of the lightsaber hilt lying in front of him. Through the Force it felt like an extension of himself, the inner workings of his weapon he was intimate with. He moved his influence away from the lightsaber and moved it to the data pad that laid next to the lightsaber, his invisible fingers tracing the casing, the buttons, as if he was merely just grazing the surface. Next he moved his awareness to the maintenance droid that was performing maintenance work on an cooling system on the roof. The droid felt foreign to him due to the lack of familiarity, so he let his invisible fingers trace this mouse droid from the top to the bottom, and then pressed further into the inner workings. This droid comprised of the same energy as he is, how the Force Is in all things biological and artificial. The inner workings were foreign to him, even with the Force. He pressed his awareness outward, the entire rooftop he could feel the floor beneath him, the other air ducts and cooling systems, the door leading down. He extended his influence down a floor; there he could sense the presence of his new agent Krieger. He like the droid was foreign, but time would change this, he felt strong in the Force. It was a river flowing through him. He could perceive him like a bright star not like his former agent Vector. It shone outward almost as if the energies within him were barely being contained. He briefly wondered if his new agent would perceive the intrusion. He pushed himself further, going down another floor, there he could feel the droids coming and going performing their assigned functions. All these were static in the Force. They were machines, not alive. He then pushed his senses further by going down another floor. There he could not sense anybody or any being on that floor. It was empty. He was beginning to feel the strain of overextending his awareness. But he had to press on. The next floor he could feel the presences of the staff who worked in his bldg. These were cooks and cleaners, all who felt static to him, meaning that unlike him they did not walk in the currents of the Force. He slowly came back to himself; withdrawing his senses back, it had exhausted him, as he had pushed heavier than he would normally would. His eyes still closed but his influence, his senses were no longer extended.

He had come back to his lightsaber, this part of himself, his life; his identity was in this weapon. He could see the currents surrounding his weapon. He touched the currents with his mind, willing it to rise slightly in the air. The weapon obeyed his will. He slowly spun it on its axis with his mind; it was a slow rotation it was as if he was examining the details in its construction. It was a simple manipulation in the physical realm. After a couple of minutes of the lightsaber were slowly spinning the direction changed. It was moving as if he was using it to play that child’s game Spin the Bottle. It spun slowly with the manipulation of the energy field around it. As the lightsaber slowly spun he perceived the data pad he had laying next to his weapon and as with the lightsaber he willed it to rise, and rise it did slowly much like the lightsaber and about two feet from the ground. With a gesture of both his hands he had his left palm upward and a slight movement of his hand had put the data pad into a slow spin. With his right hand palm facing upwards he turned the palm in a slight counter clockwise movement, at which the lightsaber stopped spinning. He then brought both palms facing downward and slowly moved his hands down. Both his lightsaber and the Data pad lowering them until they both rested once again on the ground. A feat he had often had issue with but had been able to do with relative ease.

The Force was in all things, an elementary lesson but it was a profound one, one that continued to amaze and educate the hungry sith apprentice. Its energy was everywhere, ready to be touched or manipulated by those who were adept. This simple lesson continued to educate him. He did not feel like his power increased but his understanding in the Force had deepened. Simple truths he found were the most profound. He had been drawing on the Force heavily as he meditated, he was now exhausted. He did not meditate often enough but when he did they were often taxing because of drawing so heavy on the Force. But he had felt as if he had grown in the Force not necessarily stronger but he felt more knowledgeable, he learned his lessons from his teachers’ failure, and experience.

End Level 8 App
Actual Word Count : 1260 / 800
He opened his eyes and rose, calling the lightsaber and data pad to his hand, he clipped the lightsaber to his side, the pad he held as he went back inside to the cool, climate within. There he would get a shower, eat , study and then rest.

Inside the gym in Warvanus’ complex on Sojourn he had the droids setup two boards mounted to what would be the chest piece of the practice dummies he used when training his martial arts. Some styles of Martial Arts, they would break boards to teach focus and precision. Warvanus would try something different as he was able to break each of these boards with ease if he used his fists. His record was four. It only took a few pounds per square inch to snap them. Enough to break someone’s nose. One stood in front of Warvanus, and one behind him. Each stood about five feet apart from him. He had read about the ability to use Telekinesis to do strikes as if he was throwing a punch or a kick. A useful ability to have. Would the Force willing release this secret to the hungry Sith Warrior?
Force Charged Strike
Req Word Count: 700

Standing in the center of the setup he drew upon the Force, the pools of its infinite energy at his disposal, he gathered it into himself by extending his influence into it. He looked at the board in front of him, focusing on the wood, made of the same energy that bound everything in place. He brought his hands up as if he was going to box. With the Force he gathered the air molecules as if he was gathering it into a ball, but instead the air was getting dense, perfect for what he was going to attempt to do. The palm of his left hand facing the board. He pushed his hand out wards towards the board as if he was trying to push it with the Force. With his mind he pushed with the Force, he launched the concentrated air molecules, willing the Force to break the board in two. He released the contained energy along with pushing his hand out towards the board at the same time. The board remained unchanged. There was no evidence that he had done anything to it. Not even a thump. It stood there taunting him. The gathered air molecules dissipated when he tried to unleash the contained energy.

He didn’t expect to get this on the first try, He knew this. He took a deep breath and he would try again. He drew the Force to himself, gathering it like a chipmunk gathering nuts. Once more gathering the surrounding air near his palm, making it dense, concentrated even. He focused harder on the board in front of him. With his will he kept the intregity of the gathered air, the board he could feel it, And once again unleashed his telekinetic attack. Once again the board did not break, it did not even appear to have been hit by anything at all. Indeed it was taunting the volatile sith warrior and his patience was thinning and his anger rising. Once again the gathered air molecules dissipated before they hit their target.

He walked to the board in front of him and with his fist planted it past the board snapping it in two. His anger rising like a errupting volcano now. He drew on the power of the Dark Side of the Force, He poured his rising anger and frustration at the inability to wrestle this ability from the Force, pouring the anger he felt at his limited growth, the fury of being abandoned by his former Master, all his failures came bubbling up to the surface of his mind, the failures at the mountain. His failure to find his Former Master, his failure to avoid capture by the Tri-Sun cult. All these things fueling his power in the darkside, the anger and frustration turned to rage and hatred. He fed off of it, gorged himself on his dark emotions, its energies bringing renewed focus and even more strength. It burned to be released, unleashed as he was barely containing the energies he was now channeling. He brought his attention to the board that was formerly behind him. He held his hand out , once again gathering the surrounding air into one clustered area, the gathered air becoming dense like a thick piece of ice, With his hatred he focused on the gathered air, he was going to maintain its integrity. After several moments of focusing he pushed his hand out wards towards the board, with it the he unleashed the contained energies he had summoned. The motion with his hand was as if he was pushing something away. The board sounded with a loud resounding crack the board’s integrity yielded to the gathered dense air that hit it with the force of an overwhelming strike. The board did not snap it in half the board had all but shattered. Into smaller chunks. He had aimed for a clean break of the board and instead had all but destroyed it. He had overdone it, while he had results it was not the success he had wanted. He would try this again.

Set another one up” he told one of the droids, who did everything to obey him, with a new target set in front of him, he would make another attempt at this.

He stood facing it, his anger and focus working as one as he gathered the air around his hand, he focused less on the board and more on the gathering force he would unleash on the unsuspecting piece of wood. He looked at the wood and using the controlled anger he unleashed his telekinetic attack by unleashing the gathering air. The board split in two but it was not a clean break, nor was it fully cracked in half, more like three-quarters of the board was broken. It still was not in two pieces but it was a more controlled attack.

He examined his handiwork and he was exhausted, drawing so heavily on the Force had worn him out. He did not even realize that he was phsycially sweating a bit. His body covered in a thin layer of sweat. The effort indeed took a lot out of him both physically and mentally. But he believed he wrestled this secret from the Force. It would be a useful skill he was certain. For now, he would freshen and rest and meditate on what he had just accomplished.

Alt 3 App Begin

If one knew where to look, one could find teachers everywhere. Time, Experience, Success, Failure all have proven to be valuable mentors, especially when it came to the matters and the currents of the Force. For Warvanus as of late, Failure had been his dominant mentor, and at times his only mentor. For months now he had been trying to expand his ability in the aspect of the Force to affect the physical realm and has met with only failure after failure. The Force had kept this locked from him, but now he would unlock this strong limitation, this barrier that was placed on him.
He sat down on the sand, he was on a beach somewhere on Sojourn, he had begun to still his breathing, clearing his mind of any doubt and any distractions that would threaten his focus, concentration and resolve. He breathed in determination and persistence, he exhaled doubt and limitation. He stretched out with the Force, drawing the energy inward, gathering it to himself. He would push his influence on the gathered energy, coercing the energy while he kept his focus on the force, Using his anger to enhance his focus, anger at his failures, anger at his limited progression, anger at the state of their order, anger at those who sought their destruction, all of it he poured into the Force, even the coarse sand underneath him fueled his anger as its coarse grains would get everywhere in his clothes and this fact alone would make him uncomfortable, which caused irritation in which the anger would continue to rise in him.
He pushed his influence outwards to touch the energy field surrounding a small rock that sat in front of him on the sand. This rock was about the size of a thermal detonator, small enough to rest in the palm of his hand if he so wished. With his influence through thought he touched the energy field surrounding this small rock and pushed his will upon it, manipulating the energy field around it. He would manipulate it to do a simple action. He willed it to rise in the air. The rock did not move or budge. The apprentice tried again, intensifying his focus, and concentration, he coerced with his will to manipulate the energy field surrounding this small rock. With the power of his mind he coerced the rock to slowly rise. This time the small rock lifted two feet in the air. It floated wobbly threatening to lose the feat he was trying to perform. He breathed in and closed out all other distractions, the sound of the water, the sky the wildlife near him. He focused harder to shut these outside distractions out from his mind and his communion with the Force. The intensification of his concentration stopped the unstable movement coming from the small rock. It now floated two feet in the air with no sign of wobbling or wavering. He extended a hand palm upward and the rock now floated over his hand. With his focus and will he pushed his influence on the rock to slowly spin it on an axis.
He watched it spin slowly on its axis, and as it slowly spun he meditated, and came to the realization that this rock, the sand beneath him, his lightsaber, him were all made from the same energy, The force was everywhere, and in all things. From the planet itself to the grains of sand beneath him, all of it comprised of the same energy that he was comprised of. It was a simple truth but one that he did not fully grasp. He suspected even now his understanding at this profound truth was barely scratching the surface and suspected as he grew stronger in the Force the more profound this truth would be.
The slow rotating rock, this simple manipulation it felt different to the Sith apprentice. This rock was not pulled up from the sand with Telekinesis; it was simply a manipulation of the energy field that surrounded the rock. This manipulation took less effort than if he had lifted it or hurled it with a telekinetic throw. He stared almost wide eyed at this rock. Another revelation came to him, this was a symbiosis of energy, a cooperation of energy or at least that is how it felt to the apprentice and because of this it was little effort to perform this simple feat. Had he tried to lift it with Telekinesis it would have been his will dominating the energy around it, making it submit to his commands. This was not it at all, and the realization of this truth made the apprentice breathe in sharply almost as if he was experiencing an intense pleasurable sensation. In this moment of clarity he could feel his previous failures fall away. They were not failures; they were stepping stones, stairway to the truth that now had been revealed to the apprentice. He now realized just how wrong he had been with the mountain. How he tried to dominate his will on a section of it. The mountain would not yield and he understood now why. He understood why he had struggled in bringing down that ceiling in the crypt with Lord Blood standing there. It all made sense to him. The anger and loathing he felt at his previous attempts washed away, he would not call them failures. In this aspect of the Force he had been approaching it all wrong, the proof was floating in front of him.
With those feats he had poured everything into performing them but he essentially tried to rip stones from their places in an effort to perform a feat of taking down a section of the mountain or the ceiling before it. It all boiled down to one thing, individual stones. With the mountain it was beyond his control and command of the Force, he understood that now. With the ceiling he could have done it with less exertion had he just manipulated the energy field of the stones and not the collective. This revelation filled Warvanus with a sense of awe and wonder, he felt as if a veil had been lifted from his eyes. This new truth had also fueled his determination which he poured into the Force.
How far did this new revelation go? He gazed back at the small stone floating a foot above his palm, which still slowly spun on its axis. Was this revelation just applicable to the aspect of manipulations in the physical realm or did this also include the other aspects of the Force? He felt giddy with this new knowledge, something no Master could have taught him, though a Master could guide him to the door but it would be the Force that would open the door, and the door did open.
He gazed at the small rock and once again manipulated the energy field surrounding it, coercing it to stop spinning and sink back down to the sand. The sand that at one point Warvanus had been able to ignore. Now that he was coming back to himself, he could feel its coarse grains violating his clothes and boots, which caused him to come back fully to himself. Not that he had immersed himself in the currents of the Force extending his awareness, no he had been on the beach meditating spinning a small rock in the air, and it was the most significant lesson to date he had undertook. One he needed to record so that he would never forget the intensity he experienced today, in seeing he had been approaching the physical manipulation in the Force all wrong, this truth would have significant repercussions to what end he did not know, time would tell, but something told him that by knowing what he now knows that he would feel the stagnation of his growth fall away. In this one simple meditation he had felt the veil rise from his mind, he had learned a big lesson and he knew that his growth in the Force would benefit from it. This made the sith apprentice excited for the future.

Warvanus who was on the rooftop overlooking the landscape, receieved a call from his would be apprentice, the one he had dubbed Krieger. “Master” he began “We have the slave” He took the commlink and spoke to it, “Good work Krieger, bring him to the training gym and make sure nobody else is in it” “Right away Master” he said the conversation ended. Warvanus made his way down to the gym. There had been a situation that a slave tried to escape, after having murdered a fellow slave and damaging two attendant droids. Warvanus had tasked Krieger to reacquire him, as a test and part of his training and it appears that the new Operative under his charge was capable afterall. He entered the gym, the Slave being restrained. Warvanus stood there.

Kneel before your Master worm!” Krieger barked as he kicked the slave behind the knees sending him on his knees, the slave looked at the Sith as he began to beg for his life.
Begin Force Choke App

The anger in him was great, perfect fuel for the dark side. He drew upon the Force. He could feel it wanting to overwhelm him, wanting him to release the energies that he summoned. He gathered the Force within himself as he stretched out using an invisible hand. He could feel it wrap its invisible fingers around the throat of this slave. He looked into the slave’s eyes and with his will; he willed the hand to squeeze, with the intent of choking the victim. Nothing happened. The slave on his knees whimpering begging for his life as Warvanus tried to execute his will. Slaves were good fodder for things like this. He again tried to will the hand to close around the neck and again nothing happened. The blue irises were replaced by radioactive yellow ones.

If he was not angry before he was most certainly angry now, anger that he failed at the first attempt, anger of what that would make him look like, anger at the slave for his failure, anger at the slave for his incompetence. All that anger he poured into the Force as he corralled its’ energies once again. He would not be made a fool of, he would not be seen as inept, it was a weakness and he would not give those around him that concession. He breathed in, and let the breath out; he could see the energy field around the slave. He pushed his influence to manipulate the energy field, to make it submit to his every whim and mental command.

The invisible hand was there again, as he willed it to wrap itself around the slave’s throat once more. It felt almost as if his own hand was around this creature’s throat. Using a gesture he brought his hand up and with his index finger and thumb he brought them slightly closer together. Through the force He used his anger as he willed the hand to squeeze.

Unlike his last attempt, this time the slave began to gasp for air, his hands grabbing for the hand around his throat that was not there. Warvanus watched as the pathetic creature frantically grasped for air and to free him of the hand that was denying him air. He brought the finger and thumb even closer together and as he did so the grip on the slave’s neck tightened, he had been a shade of red but now was beginning to turn purple as the oxygen was being denied. His eyes began to bulge as he flailed his arms frantically, in an attempt to be helped, but help was not coming for him. Warvanus stepped closer to the slave. He could imagine what the slave was feeling, his brain and body being denied air, helpless to change that, struggling to breathe again only with every struggle just takes what strength he had left, desperate to derail the inevitable.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who fails me” he hissed, with that he brought the index finger and thumb together and with the sudden increase of pressure he thought he heard a snap, or maybe he imagined hearing a snap, either way the slave was released of his mortal coil. His eyes rolled into the back of his head as he fell backwards and lay there dead. Warvanus stood there and studied him for a long moment after which he came back to himself.

He should not be surprised at the feat he just performed. It was a physical manipulation, and it took a lot of emotional energy to perform it, He was not sure why he opted to try this, but he had wrestled another secret from the dark side, not just any ability but one that Darth Vader himself often used. A small smile tugged at his lips, with this new ability it would help him strike fear into those under him.

End Force Choke App 652/500
Warvanus looked at Krieger after a long moment “Have the Attendant Droids dispose of this trash

Yes Master” he said bowing his head,

Warvanus turned to leave but from behind his shoulder he spoke. “You did well Krieger” with that he exited the room.

Sojourn was strong with the dark side, maybe because of its history, maybe because the presence of so many Sith on this moon. He did not know why but he had found a mountain that was a good two hour trek, by speeder that he had found to be strong with the Darkside. He had left the speeder at the base and scaled the mountain. It was an hour before he found a suitable place. He setup camp as he had found a favorable place to meditate.
Begin Level 9 App

Time and experience were not only good teachers in the ways and mysteries of the Force, but they were also good growth catalysts. He was no longer a neophyte in the Force, he was strong, powerful and as of late he had felt he had made leaps and bounds in his growth and acquisition of power. He was far from being at a level of Mastery but he knew that his ascension to the title of Lord was drawing near. He felt it in the powers he could summon; he knew it by passing the first of what he would surmise to be many trials. The Force was like a endless well, one can go deep and find new levels to reach the Force was endless.

He sat on his knees and drew upon the dark side He fed its ravenous fires with the strongest of his emotions, anger, hatred, lust and one he would never admit to fear. Anger at his past failures that served as constant reminders, hatred he poured into the Force, his hatred for the Jedi, the Empire, the Alliance, anybody who was not of the Sith. His lust for more knowledge in the Force, to learn even more amazing abilities and like every true Sith he lusted to grow in power. Fear that he would not admit but rested deep inside his conscious tightly locked away, fear for the state of the Sith Order.

He gathered the Force to himself, letting it flow in him and through him the energies that made up the universe, and all things flowing in dark harmony. The energies made him feel hyper-aware, awake, more alive, one that made his pulse and heart quicken. With the summoned energies he willed his bodily functions specifically the heart, pulse and blood pressure to lower and level it out. If he brought it all low enough he could slip into a hibernation trance, but this ability was still beyond him. His efforts were successful, as he felt the anxiousness leave him, falling like a melted iceberg from a mountaintop. He had learned that the aspect of Control was the cornerstone, at least in his experience to the Force, it was not any more important than the other two but Control was the link that bound it all together. It had secrets just waiting for the Sith to claim as his own. He had studied Battle Meditation in his reading, and had attempted it on a few occasions, mostly with slaves but his efforts were futile, he did not have any kind of inkling of a successful attempt. It was beyond him, but only for the moment, he needed to learn more Control. It was key and through this he had come to realize the significance and importance of Control.

He brought his perceptions outward as if he stepped outside of himself, to experience the Force around him. He could perceive the energy fields surrounding him, he could feel the field around himself, the trees around him, the speeder at the bottom of the mountain, he could feel the wildlife around him. He extended his awareness to the mountain itself, it was there made of the same energy as everything else. He knew he was barely scratching the surface, not with just the mountain but the Force as well. if he had put enough focus and effort he might be able to deepen his perceptions, he would make out more details about his surroundings, as if focusing a telescope at a far away object, by focusing it would come into clarity, so this could be said about the Force as well. It was a profound truth to the Sith warrior. Albeit a simple one, He knew the Force would give him a unique perspective on anything he set his will to and at any depth he aspired to peer to. It was so vast and infinite; it could be so easy to lose oneself to the currents of the Force. It would overwhelm him, that much he was certain. He had grown so much in the Force he had learned so much. It amazed Warvanus at how the simple truths, the simple lessons continued to have big impacts on him.

He touched the energy field of two rocks that rested on the sides of where he knelt. He manipulated them, urging them to rise and as if on cue they did rise, slowly about two feet in the air. Through the Force he could perceive them, flat round stones, slightly larger than his fist. They felt weightless in his mind. Willing their energy fields to float as if weightless was no small feat. They floated there as he did the same to another stone that rested behind him. This one was the same size but jagged edges. Through the Force it was all the same energy just in a differing configuration. He could perceive the roughness and density of this one but in the end it too submitted to his whims to float in the air. That too rose two feet in the air. There they floated and as they floated, he pondered about the physical manipulation aspect of the Force, he had struggled at one time, that struggle stuck on him since the beginning of his training, from first learning Telekinesis, to expanding his capabilities in this aspect recently he had come to an epiphany that changed all that, and it showed in the new abilities that he had learned that drew heavily on this aspect and yet Warvanus knew he had only scratched the surface and that this aspect of the Force had many secrets just waiting for him to unravel and claim for his own.

Truths reveal themselves everywhere, especially when one walks in the current of the Force. A lot of them were small things revealed to the Sith but with significant results and insight. Small truths were still knowledge, and knowledge was power. Through the last couple weeks he had essentially had a whole new approach to the Force, through subtle manipulations he could get the same result as if he had dominated his will upon it. He had learned new abilities and truths and importantly about himself. If the sith could take one thing from all of this that would be the small truths are the most profound and the most powerful which to the mind of the Sith warrior, could open a door to a pathway to new abilities and secrets. They were out there, his for the taking all he had to do was claim them.

End Level 9 App
1100/900
Warvanus did not know how long he communed with the Force but like all other times he slowly came back to himself. He could see Sojourn’s primary now beginning to set off in the horizon. When he arrived it was mid-day. He also felt tired, he had drawn heavy on the dark side and it always demanded a toll. He was weary; slowly he made his way down the mountain and to his speeder. While he was exhausted he felt the communion with the force in a place of Dark side power even if the residual, was very insightful. He would have to return here, maybe with Krieger to train.

Warvanus stood in the center of his training center, he had been fasting , it was going on several days now, he had done it voluntarily so that he could clear his mind and body, though the fast affected his mental facilities, it was mostly for the body, the meditation he was about to do was for his mind. He had a mat laid out before him, at which he sat cross legged and closed his eyes.
Begin Control 3 App
1k words required

The Force was many things, it was a teacher, a guide it was a servant and yet also a master, it was everywhere, it was also a healer and a comforter. Being a sith he had little use for the healing arts. But sith or not he could not deny that the Force wore many guises. His Master had one time described the Force having three heads. One that dealt with manipulations in the physical realm, another one to help the user perceive and feel things that normal senses would not and the last one that helped the user to recognize the Force and use it for their own benefit. Control was internal but it was also the cornerstone of it all. Control in the opinion of Warvanus was the central pillar even to the sith. Sense and Alter were linked to it. The Jedi saw control as the beginning, where as the Sith it was another stepping stone to Mastery.

He opened himself to the Force; he poured his anger into it, his hatred and his fury. He used these things to fuel his power and this was no different. It was easier to summon and control the Force by fueling it with his emotions. The central emotion was hatred. Hatred at those who had abandoned the sith, he thought of those who had gone missing or just left. The Sith were in a fragile state to begin with. As he bathed in the hatred for those who were not strong enough to be called a sith, he allowed it to fester, turning into white hot hatred at the presumption that they would do this to their order. Through it he could feel the Force as if it were a gathering storm aching to be unleashed, but to try to contain energies at that level would be impossible as his body would not be able to handle it. The fury that he alone could not fix things to bring the Sith to their former glory raged through him like an electrical current. No he could not do it all himself but he would do his part. He let the energy flow through him like a conduit, through the Force he perceived his body as a machine that he could manipulate at will, through it he could temporarily and voluntarily control his vitals with just a mere thought, he could go into a hibernation trance in theory as he had never actually attempted one. He would use the Force to sustain his physical hunger and thirst. He would let the Force nourish him. He had never really attempted this, Warvanus had been fasting and he was not ready to end it yet. He had to push his limits, this test could be passed if he had no physical distractions. If he could push his limits with hunger nagging at the edges of his mind would be a true test for the sith warrior. He had purposely fasted to attempt this test. It was his own trial.

He closed his eyes , and let the Force flow through him, it washed over him like a flowing river he did nothing to prevent its flow or to stop it. He knew how to do this already but he was striving for a greater level of control, and understanding. It started at the core of his being and spread outwards. As the Force flowed through him he could feel the Force wash away his physical hunger, it felt like warmth conquering the cold, his hunger was replaced with contentment. it was instant, melted away like snow on a volcano. For now it sustained his physical needs, It washed away his fatigue, its aches. It also erased the fog from his mind that was a result of hunger. He could feel clarity dawning on him as the Force spread through him and it became easier to concentrate, The shakiness he could feel in his body from the lack of food ceased as the Force washed over him. It was not a permanent solution, it would only be temporary. He would have to fuel his body at some point. He bathed in its power feeling physically stronger with each passing minute. His mind sharpening with clarity, hunger and thirst erased from his mind as the Force provided him with everything he needed. Through the Force he drew inward, willing his vitals to level, his blood sugar to stabilize, he willed his blood pressure to level. All these things happened with a mere mental command. The Force was a booster, He felt steady again, in his thoughts he cheered at his success, however, it was enough of a distraction to have a lapse in concentration and he could feel the Force washing away from him, threatening to leave his physical hunger and lethargy in its place. He pushed it aside mentally and focused back on the Force. He concentrated harder as beads of sweat began to show on his forehead as he pushed away the thoughts of hunger. It was more difficult regaining the control he had just moments ago as the returned hunger threatened to dominate his concentration. He pushed all distractions aside, He drew on his growing anger at the difficulty he was experiencing, only the Force he focused on. Slowly like a trickle from a water facet that turned slowly into a slow flowing river again, he could feel the Force once again flowing outwards from his core. Once again he could feel the physical hunger and fatigue wash away to be replaced with sustenance and re-energized limbs. He knew this was just a temporary reprieve as he would have to draw heavily on the Force to continually sustain him.

Control was key, without it, the other aspects of the Force would falter. If he could gain a stronger degree of control he knew that it would reinforce his abilities and make him a more powerful sith. He knew that this opened new avenues of powers and abilities to him. He had read about the Battle Meditation technique, he had wanted to attempt it but he needed a greater degree of control. He might have more success with the hibernation trance technique. In time he would attempt both techniques. He could use it and other aspects to perform other abilities. There were a lot of possibilities, but in the end strengthening his degree of control, would also enhance his self-control. Once he controlled himself, he could control another, then a group of others. He didn’t know how long he sat there keeping himself sustained with nothing but the Force. He was sweating, and slowly the pangs of hunger returned until he could no longer continue to draw on the Force. He came back to himself, sweating, hungry, mentally exhausted, physically weak. To date this had been the singular most intensive workout he had ever put himself through. He knew he wouldn’t be able to hold it off indefnintely there were limitations. The fact he performed the feat for as long as he did, to him was success. With continued practice he would continue to improve his control. But for now, Warvanus would grab a meal, and rest.
