He reflected too on the offer Lord Blood had presented to him, he did not refuse it outright, he just did not trust Lord Blood, something in the Force even then had warned him on a subtle subconscious level. Did he regret the apprehensiveness? A little bit, he was new to the Empire, and nieve to the political happenings within it, he also did not know how his Master would have felt, as he was reminded in the beginning Warvanus was Tormentous’ life. Then he was treated like a piece of cattle to be traded to another Sith Lord by one who was not even his Master. At least this one he could relate to when it came to matters of war and even grew to respect. He did not like how this sat with him. Did he benefit from this play? Yes he now has a lightsaber clipped to his side. Would he be able to continue to survive given his current circumstances of no proper Master? At this point did he even need a Master? He had been his own master for so long now. Just the thought of it all only fueled the ever growing hatred. These thoughts Which brings Warvanus’ thoughts back to the present. He had decided to step out for awhile as it were. He don’t know what possessed him but he returned to the planet where the life he knew of Kell had begun. He felt unexplainably drawn back to The planet Perelia. Of course if some of his old allies sighted him they would try to kill him on site. Only they posed little to no threat to him or the power he now embodied. He needed some clarity. He needed a change of scenery. The shuttle touched down in a clearing on the backwater planet. Far away from where he knew the ghosts of his past dwell. He did not doubt his place, he knew he belonged to the Darkside now, even Iconic Sith Lords had moments of reflection, Darth Bane immediately came to mind. It almost had costed him his life. Like Bane he would grow stronger from this, he had to. Failure was not an option.
He walked in the clearing, Lightsaber clipped to his side. He entered the woods. He did not know where or why he was wandering in the woods. The Darkside would reveal its intentions when the time was right. He did not know how long he wandered either.
Warvanus collected the armor he would make use of it. He put it on piece by piece and then finally the mask. He then began making his way back to the shuttle. While he walked he contemplated on what just happened. He had faced himself. A manifestation in the Force it was like a reality check given to him by the Darkside. He only won because he had used the dark power he had accepted. Something he did not do much of, but from now on, Warvanus was forever changed. He also felt stronger in the Force for his encounter he had been pushed to the limit. In the end the Darkside fueled his power and that was what allowed him to defeat the force manifestation. Only when he did this that the doppelganger was no match for him. The tides had turned quickly in that battle. This could happen in any battle and this was something Warvanus needed to be mindful of. He did not realize that he was back at the shuttle. He boarded it without incident and departed Perelia. This planet saw the end of Kell Sangros, and a birth inside of Warvanus. His abilities and experience were tested and he emerged victorious. He felt it was high time to resume his studies to discover new powers in the Darkside.Begin Level 6 App

In the small clearing that Warvanus entered stood a rock formation in the center and on the largest rock stood a cloaked figure. (Danger Sense) The force prickled his senses as it warned him of danger. Warvanus unclipped his lightsaber. The figure did nothing, even as Warvanus approached it. It wasn’t until Warvanus was close did the figure move, and move he did , with uncanny speed the figure activated his lightsaber and using Force Jump he lunged at Warvanus. Warvanus activated his lightsaber and began to parry the figure’s attacks, with each strike he could feel the hatred pouring off this figure. Warvanus was on the defensive blocking and avoiding attacks. His attacker appeared to be more skilled with a lightsaber than he was. The Figure extended his hand to Warvanus and using Telekinesis pushed Warvanus with the Force. The attack hit him square in the chest and he was sent back about 30 feet. Using the Force he was able to land on his feet in a kneeling position.
His gaze locked on the figure before him who finally let the cloak fall. The man was clad in armor. He did not speak. He was about Warvanus’ height. The Armor by his estimation looked like Sith Battle Armor. The figure extended his lightsaber in Warvanus’ direction. Slowly he rose to a standing position from a kneeling one, drawing on the Force he raised his mental shielding (Force Shield) and then attacked. Using Force Jump he lept into the air bringing his lightsaber down aiming at his opponent’s head. The attack was blocked and once again the pair blocked and offered strikes trying to end each other. After several minutes the blades locked the opponent appearing to be stronger until he broke the lock and then striking Warvanus’ lightsaber sending it flying from his hand. The opponent then as if anticipating Warvanus’ next move called Warvanus’ lightsaber to his other hand igniting it. It was after this that his opponent spoke. His voice mechanical, menacing
“You are weak, you are beneath an insect, you are not worthy to be a Sith” though mechanical in sound it sounded vaguely familiar to him. He would not rise to the bait. He could sense the Force in his opponent but no life. Warvanus found this very odd, maybe he had found a way to mask his presence but letting his attunement to the Force to be felt. He did not know. He tried to narrow his focus to cut through with his senses to gleam more information but he was met with a wall. The opponent laughed
“Pathetic” he spat.
Warvanus drew on the Force (Telekinesis) to hurl one of the boulders at the figure, he was successful in launching the attack but like everything else it was expected and the figure using telekinesis changed the trajectory of the boulder and sent it Warvanus’ direction. Warvanus rolled to the side barely avoiding it altogether. The figure sneered “Weak, insignificant” further goading Warvanus. Warvanus was beginning to feel the doubt and defeat to trickle into his mind.
Warvanus’ tactics were not working; this fight was pushing him beyond his limits as he was beginning to run out of tricks, ideas, plans of attack. It was as if this figure was one step ahead of him. It was like he could penetrate his mental shielding. Never had he felt as vulnerable as he did at this very moment.
The figure resumed his attack swinging both blades at various angles Warvanus did all he could to avoid the attacks. Some narrowly missed severing a limb. The figure threw a kick to the chest after a few swings from the twin blades. The kick connected and Warvanus once again fell back to the ground on his back. He got back on his feet and attacked using punches and kicks, none of them seem to connect but he received a side kick and a roundhouse for his troubles. Warvanus was tired of being on the ground. None of his tactics were working. He was about out of attack plans. Defeat seeping deeper into his mind now. He felt defeated, he was spent, tired, his mind in a fog. The figure deactivated both lightsabers and let them drop to the ground. Warvanus once again was on his feet.
The pair engaged in hand to hand combat, none of Warvanus’ sense techniques were working for him; some of the blows he blocked some caught their target. The battle was short as one more time he was on the ground, cuts and bruises and blood tricking from different areas of his face. He was beyond exhausted, completely spent, none of his powers proved effective. He felt like he had hit those mental walls, the ones that limit one’s power in the Force. He had to go through them, or he would die right here but even that seemed hopeless.
The figure sensed this of course, “Surrender to the inevitable, you are going to die here, Kell Sangros”
Warvanus didn’t take to the bait, he drew on the Force *telekinesis* and doing something he had never attempted he would hurl multiple boulders at the figure. The figure waved his hand and his attack was ineffective as both boulders altered their direction and landed at different points in the clearing. Warvanus could hear laughing “Good, Good!, there might be hope for you yet worm” Again he attempted to push his opponent back with Telekinesis, again the attack was ineffective as the attack was blocked with his own telekinetic attack.
He got on his hands and knees, he was on all fours, and the figure kicked him in the side sending him back down. “Stay down Insect!” the figure spat
“Surrender and I will make your death quick” Warvanus retorted. The figure laughed. Was this what he was reduced to? Empty taunts and bravado? He found his opponents foot on his throat crushing his windpipe.
“You will never defeat me do you want to know why worm It’s because you do not use your anger and your hate, Only by using the Dark side’s power will you defeat me and come into your true potential”
With that the figure removed his mask and Warvanus’ own features stared back at him. The figure let the helmet fall to the ground.
Before he could ask “I am a fraction of what you could become if you embrace the power you have accepted. Accepting it is the first step, now you must USE IT, Unleash it. Make your enemies pay, make them suffer, Show them that you do not need a Master that you embody the power that all Sith lust after, Make those who have wronged you pay, and gorge on their fear and hatred of you. USE THE DARKSIDE!!!!” those last three words echoed louder, the sound of thousands of voice in unison.
The figure watched Warvanus from under his boot “Tormentous should have let you rot on that world, you are a waste. Do you not know your enemies plot against you? Yes I mean Enemies WITHIN the Empire, but they will win and your corpse will feed the beasts” he paused “Such a pity you had such potential” With that Warvanus’ anger or desperation intensified with a successful Telekinetic attack which did not send the doppelganger flying or off his feet, more like a shove which sent him a couple of steps back. Sweet glorious air once again flooding his lungs as he coughed and once again was on all fours. It bought him the time he needed to secure his victory.
Warvanus began to reflect, was this true? The longer he thought about it the more he realized his doppelganger was telling the truth. He had been abandoned, left to rot, Did he really need a Master anymore? He was his own man. The anger began to bubble up , Warvanus would let it , he would not try to control his anger right now, it needed to be released, unleashed, and it festered into white hot hatred and suddenly Warvanus felt something. As if he destroyed the wall blocking him and as a result he was rewarded with something new. It was a new reservoir of power that he had never been able to tap into. He had been spent, he was ready to die, all his attacks had been futile. All the anger and hatred he felt shattered that wall that was holding him back the power was his to claim. All he had to do was use the Darkside. Why had this been a revelation, something that should be second nature to him? He did not know, not yet.
Warvanus breathed in letting the dark power fill him coarse through him, re-energizing him mentally and physically, his mind was more focused, he felt stronger, stronger than he had ever been, his awareness of his injuries fading the pain lessening. This figure had pushed him to his limits, and beyond, this battle had almost broken him. That fight was one sided and Warvanus was on the business end of the losing side. Not now though. Now he felt a new freedom as if he could delve and wrestle new secrets from the Darkside. But right now was not that time. Now was the time to unleash the power and conquer this foe.
Warvanus extended his hand and his lightsaber flew to his hand as the familiar snap hiss was heard.
The Doppelganger stopped he was only about 40 feet from Warvanus. He slowly turned around. Something of a smile crossed his lips. “Good, you are starting to learn” he hissed…. And with that he extended both hands and unleashed Force lightning Warvanus blocked the attack with his lightsaber with no effort.
“Good” the doppelganger said, “Use your hatred and your anger” he said this not in a mocking or in an attempt to goad but instruction as a Master teaching an apprentice. He called his lightsaber back to him.
Once more the clashing of blades began again as Warvanus using *Force Jump* leapt at his enemy, Warvanus was not beaten, tired or broken, he was energized, recharged, all because of a small truth. “Through Strength I gain Power”
The blades moved fast and in different angles and directions. Warvanus now on the offensive, each stroke was stronger than the last. Each attack more full of hatred than the last, it was as if the roles switched. Warvanus gaining the upper hand while his doppelganger was barely clinging to life, it ended with Warvanus with a masterstroke, Warvanus brought the lightsaber blade and struck right above the doppelganger’s hand destroying the top of the hilt of his opponents lightsaber, as if the symphony that was his attack he removed the right hand of the doppelganger with a spin attack in which he brought the blade further down severing it at the wrist. It happened so fast the doppelganger did not and was not able to parry the attack. It made no cry of pain or outrage, no pain was rolling off the doppelganger. The golden sulfuric eyes of Warvanus looked at his own reflection in disgust and hate. He had no last words as he beheaded his doppelganger with a swift wordless stroke. The head did not hit the ground but the body that was his doppelganger turned into blue energy and dissipated in every direction. Warvanus after a moment turned off his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt. The fight was over and he had won. “Through Power I gain Victory”
Warvanus wasn’t aware of his heavy breathing. He stood there for several minutes. Then after those minutes passed he heard a voice “You have done well, you have proven yourself worthy of the name Warvanus” is all it said. “Through Victory my chains are broken” As he made his way to the shuttle, he still felt that new depth in the Force, he felt stronger despite his injuries, Fighting one’s self was the toughest battle he had faced. However it taught him to use the Darkside and because of that he won, but in the process he had shattered another mental barrier, he would now return back, heal and then study and wrestle new secrets from the Force.
