Forging for Silver (Warv/Kita) Training

Post by Kita_Ikari » Thu Jan 20, 2022 4:34 pm

Two weeks in and Silvanius had been relearning her hand to hand combat with Darth Warvanus. Her skills had improved after the War-Bringers refresher course, along with some new teachings on weaponry. It wasn't her favorite subject, but was definitely a much needed pack of information that would come in handy at a later date.

The Sith apprentice had been happy to have the war-bringer assist in filling in as her master until Lord Tormentous return. She wanted to make her master proud once he set his foot back on Moraband. It never dawned on Kita that she had this sense of pleasing the Dark Lord despite her dislike for him in the past. Perhaps Jacobi's presence made this unwanted desire to spring forth. Or...maybe it was because the darkside had indeed finally made an imprint in her heart.

Silvanius had sat meditating in the ring of the training grounds. The Sith apprentice had decided on bringing her beloved Nexu up with her after a few days of remaining at the temple. She had snuck him in the middle of the night on the next flight, a few people cowering in the corner of the ship in fear of her giant feline.

Sleeping nearby, the Nexu Warv stayed near his master as she awaited for the war-bringer. Silvanius knew there was still much more she needed to work on. Including solving her emotional attachments so she may not let the new Dark Lord Silas mess with her head. "One thing at a time…" she thought silently as she pulled her mind briefly from meditation to reach for a nearby water bottle.

The nexu's ears twitched at the sound of water swishing in the bottle, his head lifting to look at Kita with wonder if she would offer him any.

"What? You want some too?"
Warv gave a small growling purr at the question in reply.
"Oh alright. Come on you big baby."
Swiftly the nexu's ears perked forward in excitement as he got up and walked over to the Sith apprentice. Pouring some in her hand, she let the nexu lap up the water.
"I need to find you a bowl."

The two weeks since their arrival on Plah went in a flash, and during that time Silvanius as Warvanus would learn that was her name now had been diligent, he was pleased with the quick progress she had made in that short period of time.  The War-Bringer too had been busy in those two weeks. He had began the construction of a holocron. At one point he had sent his former apprentice to Onderon in the great Library of Iziz for any lore relating to their construction.  She was gone now, Kinta Vetasa died as the sith had viewed him, as a traitor. It mattered not to him.

He had just finished a holo communication with Kahn, the Anzati was proving useful to his enterprise. As his footsteps echoed in the empty hall leading to the Dojo that had been set aside for him during his stay, he entered.the dojo. He stood at the entrance and watched her with the Nexu. After a few minutes he stepped inside, his hands folded behind his back wearing the black and red uniform of the temple. He said nothing as he stood at the front.

As he stood, four members of the temple's security entered the dojo, each adorned with a stun weapon.  They stood behind the Warbringer as if at attention.

"I am going to teach you a basic technique that while considered basic, had actually saved my life very early in apprenticeship" He paused as if remembering "A more powerful Sith decided to try to teach me a lesson, Tormentous was away on matters of the Sith, I had maybe one or two abilities taught to me at this point I thought I was as good as dead when this Sith unleashed fire. It should have burned  me to a crisp"

With that one of the security men moved to stand in front of Warvanus and raised his weapon and fired.

Warvanus drew on the Force, his flesh hand extended, letting the Force act as a shield The stun bolt hit his hand as it made contact. Warvanus willed the energy to be absorbed into himself. Another stun bolt was fired and this time Warvanus instead of absorbing the energy into himself, had moved the same hand upward as the stun bolt went up and harmlessly hit the ceiling.

The man moved back to his position behind Warvanus. "While I did get burned I did pour every ounce of will into the effort and while I did absorb some of it, I did spend some time in the bacta tank but it could have been much worse.  With this technique you can absorb any energy like wind, fire, electricity like Force Lightning, stun bolts even full on blaster bolts, but the difficulty to pull it off with a blaster bolt is much more difficult than say absorbing or deflecting wind blasts."

"Let the Force flow through you, use your emotions to fuel  your power. When the fire blasts come, take the energy and either will the energy to absorb into you,  or, try to dissipate it by letting the energy scatter without taking it in.. As you get better with this technique you can try it with more lethal forms of energy"

With that the men departed and only one returned with what looked like a flamethrower. The setting was on the low side it would burn but it would not be lethal. The man stood ten feet from Silvanius. He would fire when she was ready.

Warvanus watched, from the account of the fight she had with the Red haired Jedi woman, this technique would have been extremely helpful.  He watched hoping she would learn the technique easily.

Looking up as she felt the war bringers presence among others, she watched as guards stood in formation alongside warvnaus in the dojo. Curious at what her temporary master would teach her, Silvanius became weary at the story he told. "You were almost burnt to death?" The sith apprentice didn't like where this story was going. For Silvanius knew that whatever the warbringer was bringing her next to the table of battle or powers, involved fire.

Observing the demonstration, Silvanius had figured out the possibility of how Warvanus managed to use this new technique in the force. It wouldn't be easy, as Kita was hesitant to try. But she knew it could mean life or death in the future. Especially as stated by the war-bringer. Nodding, she smiled slightly at Warvanus, a shine of excitement and anxiety hidden in her eyes. "Alright then. Let's begin."
Absorb/Dissipate Energy -200 Words- Begin App-

Silvanius narrowed her gaze as she stood awaiting for the first round of flames to come her way. The hot red flames came quickly, giving the sith apprentice barely any time to react. The sith apprentice's first action was to dodge to the side instead of attempting to block and absorb or deflect the stream of fire.

Silvanius' heart beat fast, faded blue gaze wide in shock before suddenly breaking the mental block of natural fear that had briefly consumed her. Trying again, she stood straight and breathed deeply, waiting again for the stream of fire to come at her. Building her courage and grasping hold of the fear first felt, Silvanius nodded as she stood ready for the next blast in anticipation. She reminded herself to stay focused with the force in order to accomplish this power.

The young sith apprentice mind alerted her seconds before she eyed the flames roaring ahead at her once more. Instantly Silvanius pulled the energy of the force towards her protectively as she lifted her right hand before the flames began to engulf her in a fiery prison of pain.

Silvanius felt the heat begin to briefly scald the palm of her hand, wincing in pain before managing to stop the gust of flames. Watching as the red and orange flames swirled in an angry torrent in front of her, the sith began to contemplate if she would throw it back...or absorb it.

Finally after a few moments of making the decision, Silvanius allowed the flames to slowly absorb into the palm of her hand. Breaking down a small portion of the barrier, she felt the heat seep through, obviously burning her skin further as she allowed the flames to enter her body. As it absorbed into her despite the pain, Silvanius began focusing and extinguishing the fire alone. The small amounts of energy left after disappearing returned to the force once more from where it once originated, adding to her own Force energy in turn.

Absorb/Dissipate Energy -334 Words- End App-
Dropping her hand, Silvanius turned and stared at her stinging burnt palm. It could have been worse had the training not worked as well as Warvanus had planned. But really the training was a success. Now what she needed was to seek medical attention so she may proceed with her training...

A few days had passed since Warvanus instructed Silvanius on the  ability to absorb/dissipate energy with the Force. He knew she kept on practicing even after the initial instruction. He gave her a few days for that, but now they had to press on there was much to teach her and time was of the essence. The War-Bringer could not explain why but it was important for silvanius to come into the power that she had courted and flirted with for so long.  In truth her training suffered serious neglect and it fell on the Warrior King to set it right and set it right he would. He entered the dojo and saw her training, which was pleasing to see. The things he was teaching her would save her life but it would also help her on her rise to power.

"Apprentice" he began not even seeing if she was ready or not, time would wait for no one.

"It is good to see you taking your training seriously, but now we must press on, as Tormentous has I am sure told you nothing is given, everything is earned. This includes instruction, you have proven you are worthy of instruction, but you will need to learn from the instruction and take these powers and abilities and claim them for your own, and here it is no different."

He folded his hands behind his back as he often did mostly when he was instructing. It had become a bit of a quirk for the warrior king.

"The Force is like ,a vast ocean, its depth is infinite, the deeper you go the more secrets you can unlock from it's iron grip. Remember Apprentice, Knowledge is power, but you must be ready for it. So today's exercise I want you to plunge to a new depth, there are feats that right now are beyond you, despite this does not mean you need to not attempt them, even in failure you can learn much. But you will never know unless you try to push yourself to a new depth. Draw on your strongest most intense emotions, let them fuel your power, show the Force you are ready for new mysteries"

He looked at her , he believed in her, he knew she had the will and the drive to do this. He also knew she would not fail him or herself.

-----------

Kita had not slept much the previous evening. The Sith apprentice remained practicing her new given power through the night with determination to master it more accurately. That and taking breaks in between for meditation and recovery.

Yawning, Kita's eyes began to grow heavy as she sat facing away from the doorway against a large boulder.

"Apprentice"

"AH!!"

Not realizing she had fallen asleep for a few moments, the young blonde Sith immediately jolted awake by the sound of his voice, she turned to see Darth Warvanus enter the dojo.

Pretending as if him scaring her was no big deal, Silvanius stood up and faced the war-bringer. A small smirk appeared on her face at Warvanus mentioned of her masters own quote.

"Well of course. No one is entitled to everything. And that includes in battle too. A enemy isn't just gonna let you win. You got to earn it by besting them."

As the war-bringer went on about the mysteries of the force, Silvanius had already began drifting into the thoughts of what she had learned. How would she be expanding herself in the ways of the force?

Nodding, the sith apprentice began her next step into her training…
~BEGIN FORCE LVL 5 ~ 500 WORDS~

Closed off the very core of her mind to withdraw from all the average day sensations of reality. Instead she welcomed the darkside of the force with open arms, ready to show and expand herself in the teachings of the sith. The young blonde apprentice grimaced, her breath slowing as she attuned with the cold energy of the darkside, giving her a feeling of overcoming confidence like no other could.

Unknowingly to Kita, her mind pricked in desire of expanding and devoting herself to the teachings of the darkness's calling. Silvanius took the War-Bringers advice to heart, attempting to draw upon her own raw emotions in order to strengthen her connection with the darkside. In the midst of her training and battles, she was fully consumed in the manipulation of the darkness without realization. However, now, she willingly attempted to keep all her senses about her as her concentration fell directly to the Force surrounding the dojo.

Silvanius felt the hairs on her warm skin raise to the chilled electric sensation the darkside brought on as it brushed over her skin, moving through her veins. Closing off her mind (Force Shield) from the war-bringer, the young sith had decided to keep her own emotions to herself during this lesson. Instead of using the emotions she had for Jacobi, Silvanius began thinking about the hatred she held for Silas…who now sat upon Lord Tormentous throne. The young blonde apprentice knew if she desired to defeat the backstabbing echani, then she would have to seek out and embrace the power provided by the Darkside of the Force.

Her heartbeat began picking up speed as Silvanius's anger slowly built and festered towards the former priest and his haughty attitude. The Darkness easily picked up on this, giving her a stronger connection for what she seeked with the Force. Power. Insight. Her faded blue gaze glanced at a decent sized stone sitting in the dojos center. Envisioning the stone as her current enemy within the heart of the sith, Silvanius stretched out her mind and hand towards her target. She longed to finally obtain a very crucial power in the Force. One that would prove to be useful in many ways. Telekinesis.

It had been a long time dream to achieve it, yet the last time she tried, she fell short. Silvanius began by simply examining the object. Slowly she let her presence delve into the minerals of the stone like when she did in the past with Darth Warvanus. Much like before, she noticed the small cracks in between the solid object. The blonde apprentice knew that was her leverage. But if Silvanius pushed too hard, then she would break the rock once more, failing in her goal. She needed to gain better control of herself when attempting this power.

Minutes passed as she moved about the stone, attempting to lift it. However, she felt her mind drifting off. Exhaustion was not Kita's friend, for it distracted her after a time of focusing for those few minutes in meditation on her target. That and the silver clad apprentice began noticing other things within the force around the temple as her mind drifted elsewhere within the Force.

Silvanius felt Warvanus's presence lingering as he watched intently on her training from the sidelines. She could sense the war-bringers weapon on his back vibrating, yearning for its usual bloodlust. A strange thing she hadn't really come to acknowledge til now. Meanwhile she also brushed her senses towards her nexu, curled up nearby. His breathing was steady, heartbeat slowed, telling her he had fallen asleep not long ago…something she wished she could do.

Not only could she feel the presence of those in the room, but she came to recognize the multiple monks roaming the temple on the moon. Each person was becoming more defined as she singled out and stopped at each individual passing by their doorway. The visuals of the force showed itself in bright colors forming the shape of the monks.

Silvanius could sense their movements, see their figures and see their actions. The Force made it easier for her to make a picture in her mind. She began to wonder, could she reach now beyond the temple with the Force? Could she sense beings throughout the planet itself as detailed as the people within close proximity?

She decided to test it.

Stretching out her consciousness, Silvanius began leaving the area. Trekking her way forward into the hall and towards the next room over she saw in her mind's eye a monk sitting at a desk working on some paperwork. Meanwhile a few others were nearby discussing topics she couldn't quite make out.

The silver clad apprentice wrinkled her brows as she came to her limits. She could sense people's life Force lingering in the temple and planet alone, but her limits were not defined like the monks in the room next to them.
She tried to push beyond the room over, but found her own consciousness reaching a barrier. Silvanius knew this wall in the Force was her limit on reaching further in her senses. To reach beyond it would take more time and training.

Pulling back, Silvanius brought her mind to the room, her mind and focus looking back at the stone. Sighing, she growled in frustration. Having lost her focus on the rock, she had spent her remaining energy on traveling about the temple.

=Khar Delba=

On one of the ice wasteland’s many mountains stood Darth Warvanus who stood at the edge of one of the plateaus ,the wind howling, which added to the level of cold that anyone would have felt. He looked across and up both options offered another platform. This would be the perfect place for this lesson. This would be the first lesson he would give Silvanius since they had departed Plah.

His back would be to his apprentice he did not see her but he could feel her presence in the Force. He was silent for a few moments.

The Force is everywhere, it is in everything, with the Force you can control the air currents around you. With the ability I am going to show you will give the appearance of super human movements. The key to its success is to control the energies around you allow it to lift you.

With that he turned to face his apprentice

This technique can be very useful it has helped me on more than one occasion so pay close attention” He pointed to the platform across from them.” I will meet you on the other side

With that he turned and leapt, with the Force he used little effort to control the energies pushing the air-currents to carry him across. By appearances it looked like he leapt at an unnatural height and distance. When he landed across the platform he landed with grace and ease.

He turned and faced the direction Silvanius stood. He waited to see how she would fare.

Having begun adapting more to frigid temperatures, Silvanius didn't seem to mind much the wind as it howled against her face. She had lost the feeling in it less then a minute after arriving on Khar Delba. The sith apprentice however had well prepared herself with warm clothing before landing on the planet. So the rest of her was faring quite well.

“The Force is everywhere, it is in everything, with the Force you can control the air currents around you. With the ability I am going to show you will give the appearance of super human movements. The key to its success is to control the energies around you allow it to lift you.”

The young blonde apprentice raised a brow at Warvanus in curiosity as he continued talking. She wasn't sure why they were up that mountain...but she was about to find out.

“This technique can be very useful it has helped me on more than one occasion so pay close attention” He pointed to the platform across from them.” I will meet you on the other side ”

With eyes wide as the war-bringer jumped to the other side of the plateau, Silvanius couldn't fathom how he could jump and land so easily with the force. Silvanius had seen it with her master Lord Tormentous before...but she had never seen him jump that far.
--BEGIN FORCE JUMP APP--300 WORDS---

Silvanius's heart beat fast with anxiety as Warvanus awaited for her to take a leap of faith across the mountain. The young blonde Sith didn't care much to try, for she already had a fear of falling the moment she peaked over the ledge of the plateau. Much like her experience of jumping out of an aircraft a couple times before, she found herself getting dizzy as a pit in her stomach formed from fear. At that time making a jump involved a parachute, which made it a little less unnerving. But now she found herself needing to jump without a safety net across the plateau and trust the force will help her.

Taking a deep breath, Silvanius turned away from the war-bringer and stepped back a few paces to give herself enough space to gain her courage in making the jump. Plus Silvanius knew if she gave herself a running start, she may have had a better chance reaching the other side.

Narrowing her faded blue gaze at where Warvanus stood, the sith apprentice opened her mind to the Force, drawing it to her in hopes of using its power. Rushing forward, she kept her mind focused on the war-bringer. The snow felt not as difficult to run through with the Force helping give her momentum as she leapt off the edge.

For a few moments she felt the flow of the Force running through her legs, making her feel almost as weightless as air. Seeing the land on the other side of the plateau becoming closer, Silvanius grew nervous. Hoping to stick her landing as flawlessly as Warvanus had, she prepared herself midair for landing…only to realize her feet were short of making contact to the frozen snow covered ground.

Her hands quickly shot out to attempt grabbing at anything hanging on the side of the cliff's edge, yet found no ridges in the rock to grab ahold of or frozen shrubs growing in the harsh climate. Silvanius knew if she didnt find something to grab onto, that she would certainly fall to her death. Her hands scrapped against the cold frozen rockside of the cliff in a panic, her body quickly sliding against the stone as she plummeted downwards. Finding a jutting rock in the Cliffside a quarter down the side of the plateau's cliff, the sith apprentice managed to stop her fall briefly.

Her chest thrummed as she struggled to keep her grip. Her hand already felt numb from the cold itself, and now colder and stinging from the scraps she received trying to stop her descent. This made it harder to keep her grip. She felt her hand slipping, as she tried searching with her other hand for another rock or crevice in the edge, only to begin falling once more.

Thinking she was certainly going to die, Silvanius was ready to accept her fate only to quickly meet impact with ground. The wind from her lungs left her as she fell flat on her back. Groaning, she opened her eyes to see the ledge a ways up. Feeling around with her arms, she realized she had landed on a rather large ledge jutting out below. Thankful to be alive, she slowly got up and stood, assessing her issue. There were clearly not enough crevices to climb her way up. And with her hands being minorly injured, she knew the only way she could possibly make it out of this alive was to make the jump upwards.

Inhaling, Silvanius sighed a deep breath as she closed her eyes for a moment to collect her thoughts, envisioning the distance between her and the top of the cliff's edge. Keeping in mind the sensation she experienced thus far from the Force in her first attempt at the jump before her fall, she knew what to look for and feel in the power open to her.

Her brows knitted as she looked up where Warvanus stood awaiting her. Bringing the Force to her once more, she tensed her muscles in her legs preparing to leap as she bent her knees. Telling herself inwardly she could make it, the sith apprentice then jumped, her blue gaze and mind fully focused on her desired destination. The weightless feeling beneath her from the Force as gravity seemed to leave her body for the few seconds she soared upwards was…exhilarating. If Silvanius had ever imagined someone being able to fly, she felt this was the closest to the experience anyone would be able to get without the use of a vehicle or jetpack.

Leaping just a foot above the cliff's edge, she propelled herself forward. The silver clad apprentices' feet firmly met ground, glancing at the war-bringer with a frown marking her soft features. It was obvious she was not happy missing that jump in the beginning and sustaining injury. Thankfully she hadn't broken anything.
