Friend or Foe?

Kita had sincerely thought for sure that the Phoenix would show a little bit of understanding and sympathy towards her. But instead Kita saw the look of unwavering stubbornness in showing any form of kindness towards her.

"Sith don't have friends. I don't have friends. And even if I did, I would make sure it's not with simpering little girls who don't know how to keep clear conscious. Emotions like that get what you love most, killed. Around here, atleast. And I'm not keen on dying right now."

She didn't respond to her. Instead Kita remained quiet as she thought about what Mercy had to say. True she had known the sith didn't make friends, but Kita never saw Mercy as a sith. Also she hadn’t thought about the fact that now she was going to be training under Lord Tormentous as his chosen, it would have been better for her to remain away from the phoenix. But the thought of not getting to see the feiry brunette again did bother her. "She makes a fair point." she thought.

As Mercy told her to get lost, Kita had taken note the stance she took. It was obvious this conversation was done...for now. The young sith would have been back eventually to attempt to mend things with the Phoenix once her own mission was accomplished. Kita wasn't going to let this potential friendship die.

Wiping away what tears had been visible, the blonde sighed in disappointment and turned away from Mercy. Kita wasn't wanting to start a fight with the Phoenix. Win or Lose, this wasn't the best time for Kita to get into a physical altercation, and starting a fight with her would just show she was purely siding with the sith. "I respect your wish. You won’t be seeing me again unless for some reason we just happen to pass by chance." Reaching out she activated the door. As it opened she glanced at the floor briefly before turning to look at Mercy with a small sad smile on her face. "And even then i promise not to come after you. I truly wish you the best."

As she disappeared down the hall, Kita realized this probably one of the hardest things she ever had to do. Leave someone's friendship behind. She didn't want to pressure Mercy, or threaten her. If the Phoenix wished to detach herself because of her connection with Tormentous and the rest of the sith, then she had that right. "I need to figure out what I'm going to do about Jacobi..."
