Panicked droid beeping followed every quick twirl of the welding tool in her hand, but Silas’ continued explanations divided her attention until he robbed her of any thoughts for the droid at all. Least, for a little while.

“Ah, another thing we have in common then. Both of us are missing portions of our memories…That’s rough. No chance you could send me in there to go spelunking around in all that empty space underneath your hair?” Just like he couldn’t speak plainly without masking his meaning, she couldn’t offer up a sincere solution without turning it into a joke. “So you may be connected to Nefaretis? My condolences. I wouldn’t be surprised if hearing him speak at any point of your life was the actual cause of your memory loss. It’s like listening to a cockroach that learned galactic common.”

But of course, he did repeatedly escape her like one, didn't he?

Silas’s fast denial of her offer to hunt down this Morven and the shaken way in which he forbade her from ever attempting to find him was the last thing she expected to hear from the cocky lord’s mouth. It harrowed her enthusiasm, effectively convincing her to concede to his warnings. As seriously as she took him, she still shrugged it off at least as a facade. “Alright, alright! Don’t lose any sleep over it. If you say he’s bad for business, he’s off limits. I'm crazy, not stupid. I won’t go give Marvin a free sword swallowing lesson with an ignited vibroblade until such a day that you ask me to.”

“M-Morven” The frightened pilot droid corrected and Kress barked, “Melvin, whatever!” Flinging her hands up with the welder lit, causing the droid to shrink against the wall.

Once more, Silas' drew her attention from the droid and onto his words.
She sighed, rolling her head to look back over her shoulder at him with a smarmy crooked smile. “Never too late to learn. You have the whole of the sith to look after now. I know we’re actively rescuing someone I happened to have lost, but I'm usually pretty good at keeping tabs on things, you know, keeping people who matter safe and sound? It’s not easy, but you’ll figure it out if you want to. The key is to stay vigilant and never let someone important completely slip your notice for too long.”

The droid during this half brained pep talk did in fact completely slip her notice.

Looking back to the spot on the floor where it had been, Kress let out an aggravated groan growing in volume the longer she glanced around without seeing the droid. It scurried down the gangplank and was presently rushing across the shipyard.

“SON OF A NAL-HUTTA BRAIN LEACH!!! REALLY?!
There is a place that hurts the most, but will I go there? I cannot climb, it's far below. I have to fall there.

Just another anarchist sith assassin wishing she'd grown crops instead.

‘Never too late huh,’ Silas mused as Kressara drew his thoughts away from his frustrations. ‘I’d not make light of what has transpired in another’s life but…’ An ache that dwelt within the deepest parts of the Sovereign’s mind swiftly manifested as he continued to contemplate.

‘It is difficult to imagine any in this current age that has seen as much loss as I, even that detestable Mandalorian.’ Noting the tone and hidden implications in the crow’s words Silas was brought out of his deliberations and finally returned to his typical demeanor. “Well I suppose I’ve managed to at least keep tabs on the outwardly listless or seemingly sporadic fowl that has now pulled me back to this most unlikely of stages for what is currently unfolding.”

Eloquence and subterfuge for what was most assuredly a far simpler budding attraction bellied the Sovereign’s true intent. Granting a meager smile in return to Kressara’s words the moment was swiftly turned aside as the interloping droid fled the pair. Silas did not exert his self in order to stop its movement and it seemed that Kressara did not pick up on it until the unit had left the ship. Now it was the crow’s turn for a loud outburst.

This time it was the Sovereign who didn’t grasp the reasoning behind his partner’s anger. Though sworn to at least attempt to remain unnoticed during the mission there was a myriad of options to the Dark Lord to curtail the machine’s movement and reclaim the droid. However, as the operation had been birthed by his flighty companion Silas elected to hold back and follow her lead.
