Coordinates indeterminate, hyperspace
En route to the Gordian Reech

"Who's our sharpshooter?" Pyke called out from the co-pilot seat

"… that would be. I have advanced targeting system programming. I am K7JN. I am a reprogrammed Imperial droid," the seven-foot-tall KX-series security droid perked up from the back of the cockpit, near the entrance door.

"Well what're'ye standin' around fur, ye clanker?!" Ashara barked. "All hands on deck! 'N' everywhere else! The Sith's about tae hit the fan, literally!!!"

Everyone within the YT-2400 shuffled to man their stations. Of course, in a light freighter, there weren't that many stations to man. Kayseven manned the quad laser canon, and Ashara herself manned the other cannon. Pyke took the pilot seat while the Rex, the RX-24, switched to the co-pilot. Captain Jek Sparro stood in the middle of the cockpit pretending to own the place. Everyone else just went and hid in the Cargo Bay.

"… We need a bigger ship." Pyke surmised.

"Preparing to jump out of hyperspace," Pyke anmounced over the ship comms. "Stay on your heels, and prepare to go to Red Alert at a moment's notice."

Ashara reached into the Force, letting it flow through her and calm her nerves. Her closed eyes opened, serene and a faraway look to them. It was time, she could feel it.

There would be no going back.

The YT-2400 appeared right in the middle of the conflict, blasterbolts and turbolasers flying everywhere, raining both up and down across their viewscreen.

"Go to Red Alert!"

Right in the smack middle of the firefight, they had arrived, reverting from hyperspace. Ashara reached out into the Force, letting it direct her hands as she fired at whatever enemy vessel came through across her targeting computer screen.

She could feel a strange pull, however, towards the very enemy vessels that she was fighting.

She didn't really understand it at first, but suddenly she did.

"The Dark Side is bonnie strong with these ones, I ken..." she muttered to herself.

Meanwhile, her XO Pyke was piloting the light freighter straight through the onslaught of turbolasers and blasterbolts. Falling in line with the raiding party, shields up and weapons engaged, Pyke guided the YT-2400 light freighter towards a few Blue Star Pirates he recognised all too well as quite dear to Ashara.

It was Captain Buggie and his hot-headed wingmate, after all.

Ashara was literally shooting at whatever came into range of her targeting computer, and on the other side, Kayseven had already managed to score a few solid hits on a few smaller starships flagging the larger convoy using his quad canon laser turrets.

"I calculate an 80% chance of the enemy retreating. They are outgunned and outmanned."

Almost as if on que, Master Buggie's holotransmission played over the Blue Star frequency, which Pyke had already dispatched across all ship comms.

"New objective! We need to keep those freighters from jumping away!"

Pyke responded, maneuvering The Sunflower straight ahead towards the enemy vessels.

"Prep Ordnance," he ordered. "Hit it."[/gold]

The raid had honestly gone on long enough. Through it all, the YT-2400 light freighter Sunflower had taken quite a few hits from the freighter convoy's escort craft. Upon hearing Captain Buggie's distress call, Ashara had insisted that they intercept; however, the Steel Run was far closer then they cureenrly were and they were currently locked in a nexu-and-mouse chase with a YT-2000 escort.

Thus, Pyke had made an independent call, and swerved the Sunflower around, in a direction away from Captain's Buggie's vessels.

"Fire proton torpedoes," Pyke ordered, and the purple Twi'lek from earlier released the armament, taking out two escort vehicles directly in front of but a considerable distance from the Sunflower but creating an explosion cloud that took her out of the direct view of the pursuing YT-2000.

Moments later, the Sunflower flew in reverse upside down directly beneath the YT-2000, Ashara unleashing a relentless barrage of laser cannon fire that took out first the enemy's shields and then the ship itself.

The onslaught continued…

As conceived, so shall it bear-
They were under duress quite suddenly, opposed from near all sides by all, some recognized, some not. Regardless of terms laid down, Blood pulled in a selfish hurl of heated air, crisp embers throwing luminous glow through the creases between orbalisks clinging to him.

With the exhale, smoke tinged each venomous word, until the until he finished with the curl of lazy wisp.
Pull back. Withdraw energy, conserve, and jettison. We need full power and full speed to be free of this mess.

Never should have come here! his damning mind hexed well into the dark confines of his consciousness. It was a folly to think they wouldn’t be on high alert status since Tormentous’ event- everyone wanted a piece of them, ravenous wolves to pull down the legacy, to eviscerate it and maim and mail until nothing remained. Plague. All of them, a plague. An outright disease of humankind- a fearful but ambitious response.

In a way the Sithian appreciated how much attention they garnered-
But what mattered here most was their loss. And that was what stuck with him here, today. There was nothing earned, and their steps taken to make some sort of progress in these galactic endeavors was pointless.
It made him appreciate the little men and women who sacrificed themselves doing this on the regular-
However the brood with him were more important than the average peon.

Retreat.

Weighing the pros against the cons, this was much more suicidal than supreme- and he would not lose anyone over resources that wouldn’t bring them back.

“Prep the-“ she began with an start. Where the hell were they going?! They just got here!
But before she could feed into the thick and lavaesque rage pooling within her already pre-heated temper, their vision and radars was alright with flares of lasers and blares of sirens. “Retreat,” came not too far after as their Dark Lord to state an obvious response to the frakkery that frakkin unfurled before them. Enemies everywhere, shots passing back and forth, and her irritation spinning wild with it. Had it not been for Dastan’s swift fingers manually cutting off her coms, everybody in their little group would have heard her creatively tell them to go frakk themselves. While it wasn’t directed at them, of course her Master knew when her fury had thrown itself into a supernova, damning anyone’s ears who got too close within range.

Once reactivated, her boosters were already at max, and she was clearly bothered by this decision. “-motherfrakkin haters,” she finished off her spiel and hugged a “On your ass,” she confirmed grumpily to Dastan as her console flicked from red to ready to jump.

She hadn’t said anything to the group, as she had nothing more to say. She was already peeved about this- the taking the time to even come all the way out here from unknown regions, to STOP WHAT BADASS HUNT THEY WERE ON to provide backup-

Then -zoom- she and he were gone in a strand of light back to whatever direction Dastan had panned on her jumpnav.
