"You'd be free to go if we find nothing to connect you to the idiot upstairs," Rhoden said, "Or his friends." he added as blaster fire echoes from outside. "If we do find a connection you will be taken to my domain." he growled. Another report came over the comm line and the window rattled with the rumbling sound of an explosion.

"Ah. Quantity over quality it seems." he said, "I do wonder what's possessed them to try and attack us."

Mora's eyes flick between the dark-skinned woman and the commander. To be free once again in her rooftop home where she could be arrested and suffer the consequences, or learn to disappear like the woman and never be caught every again. Mora closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, her decision could change her life. The question is would that change be worth it.

She opens her eyes and stares fully into the woman's uncanny yellow ones.

"I will accept your offer."

Desade smiles softly.

"Then, once the Commander concludes his investigation, we'll begin immediately, are you hungry, dear child? Commander, have someone bring the poor girl something to eat, she's had a hard day," the woman stated, moving to pull up a seat, her elbows resting on her knees, face resting in her own hands, framed by her long nails, her eyes fixated on the girl.

"Now, tell me all about yourself, your hopes, your dreams-- I intend to help you realize them all," she said excitably. The file on the woman that Rhoden had painted her further as a mystery, even he didn't know her real name, only her moniker of Silence, and that she had the affinity to use the Force. But he had already assumed her to be only a killer, when she offered him something else entirely. She was still disappointed in the man's lack of understanding, his rigid stance. He was the prime example of an Imperial officer, she found herself more akin to that which formed the Empire. And now this, like a child with a new toy, a toy she would twist and shape in her own image.

The woman looks expectantly at Mora, a smile on her face. Mora shifts nervously in her chair.

"My name is Mora Norith, my parents left me before I could remember them in an orphanage. It wasn't a great living space, barely anything was sanitary and the other kinds were horrible, but there were the dreams. Dreams of leaving this planet to travel the galaxy, dreams of finding friends and a happy place." Mora drops her eyes. "That all ended when I was six. Two Imperial soldiers came into the orphanage, I never knew why they came but they did. Out of no where one kicked me down and the other joined him. I don't know how long they beat me, but at the end one pulled out a knife and slashed my left bicep and left a scar." Mora hardens her gaze and looks back at the woman.

"After that I ran away and eleven years later here I am, grown up at age six and dry of fantasies because the real world doesn't let them survive."

Desade listened intently, her own eyes hardening a bit, then lowered them, letting them slip from the girl's countenance. She thought on her words for a long, long moment.

"Commander, if you could find out which two of your men did that and deal with them in a method befitting my style?" she asked, glancing toward Rhoden, before looking back toward the girl, "Silence's story isn't so different you know, she watched her own blood perish in the fire of the rats and dogs-- they took Silence, took her away from the world that would have been her home, the sisters lost and forgotten," she stood then began to pace the room, "Twelve years, as the rats and dogs tried to decide how to raise the price, because someone wanted young Silence for what she was only starting to learn how to do, twelve years, and then a handsome young man, hired by that same man, came and freed Silence, but he couldn't turn her over, no-- he saw something greater, so he helped her, taught her how to survive on her own, so when the men in white came after him for betraying his contract, Silence knew fear, fear to love, then fear to lose, and the men in white took her fears away," she stopped to stare at the girl.

"It was then that Silence could take no more, and enacted immediate retribution against the men, and it was there, there that Silence found herself taken by the Empire," she purred the word out, "Cruel and disfunctional, demanding order from a galaxy bred of chaos; strict, uncaring--- but I care, we can do so much to right that which is wrong," she offered, then paused, glancing back toward the door.

"Was all that noise reflective upon friends of yours?" she asked

Rhoden's face hardened as he heard the statement, he let out a low growl. Desade then asked him to find and deal with those soldiers, "Oh, they'll be dealt with." he muttered. He turned to Jorvan as the two continued speaking behind his back.

"Sylcris is the resident Shadowguard Commander," he said, "Contact her and have her look into this, I want those two alive so I can deal with them personally." Jorvan gave a nod, the slightest inclination of his head. "I will take them to the point of begging for release." he whispered to himself, "And then grant them their wish."

He turned back toward Desade and Mora, his face betraying no more emotion. The blasterfire outside intensified, "This situation begins to frustrate me." he said, "I'd like a few prisoners, to be sure, but would you kindly slaughter them." Rhoden spoke into his comm, "Oh, you want them dead, sir? Well why don't you get off your lazy--" He cut the connection with a snort at Haly's comment, "Such a well-mannered young woman." Jorvan said sardonically.

Mora glances at the door along with the woman who claims to be called Silence.

"No friends are made on the streets." She replies. "People only value you for your food or credits, none of my contacts would care or risk their lives for me. For all they know they just lost another thief to trade with to the prison."

Desade gave the girl a nearly heartbreaking pout at her words.

:"That's not true, it's given you me," she told her, before sighing heavily, glancing toward Rhoden. "Very well, there are many questions to be answered, need I deal with the noisy cretins? I'll ensure to keep one alive- I cannot promise you the state that they would be in," she sang, the knife flipping up into her hand. She longed to use her new weapon, but she needed more practice with it first, and her knife was her beloved. But there was one other thing she could do. She tapped her com on her collar.

"Fear, do be a dear, we need one of them alive, at least," she said. There was a pause.

"Regret: If you wish one to survive, very well," came the voice over her com. Outside, a new problem arose, but not for the Imperials, instead it was a bipedal droid, two humanoid hands held nothing, since Desade asked for one alive, but as it climbed and leaped from building to building, it'd launch into people, four razor sharp arms extending from its shoulder blades, lancing out at targets. The droid would assist.

"I require Silence," she purred.

There were a few more explosions and screams now, Rhoden smiled as the blasterfire slowed, then stopped. "Excellent." he said, "Now is there any further matters of immediate interest or shall we withdraw to the Hydra and be on our way."

The Hydra was scheduled to make one final stop before it returned to Outpost Alpha-832--better known as Utopia by those who were privy to its existence--and that stop was to offload Desade, and her new... associate, a prospect that might soon be changing. "Unless you have business to conduct elsewhere guest quarters can be arranged for you and your new friend on Utopia." he said, "All facilities would be at your disposal--holographic simulators, flight simulators, firing range. Very well appointed for a training facility--up to a point, of course."

The offer was, of course, a courtesy to the young woman rather than Desade but it also provided Rhoden the ability to monitor Desade. He didn't have a particular mistrust of her but it wouldn't hurt to keep the Grand Admiral apprised of her activities as best he could.
