Taum listened to him talk about what it was she actually felt. She felt his presence like a warm blanket, just carefully wrapped around her.
The pulse of the creatures remained still and watching. She still didn't like them. She finally pulled herself the calm darkness, shapes beginning to take form. She sat up and watched the water before her. "I was stuck. The darkness tried to keep it in there. I couldn't speak or move and I panicked. The creatures didn't make me afraid as much as that darkness."

Colt merely nodded, his legs unfolding, standing in a single, fluid motion, his tonfas resting in his hands for the moment.
"The darkness is in us all, girl, even the Jedi, they resist the temptation of the Dark Side, but the Dark Side is, and always will be, a part of themselves, they can't hide from it, any more than you could hide from your hand," he told her, "It'll always be there, your choice will be in knowing what to resist, and what to release," he explained, "It's a choice we all have to make each day," he added, then the turned toward one of the Nexu, activating his tonfas. They flared brightly to life, a long blade extending from on side, with a short one out the other, one a blinding silver, the other a shimmering purple. His eyes looked up, and the beasts froze, he thrust a blade forward... and called on his inner darkness... lightning crackling from his extended fingertips, momentarily... it sparked and singed at one beast, the others quickly scattering... he relented quickly, so that the lightning only stung, and did not kill or maim... it quickly decided to follow it's brethren...
He took a deep breath, bringing the Darkness back into himself....
"The dark is an ally, a strong one... but it can tempt you, and you can be lost to it... know your limits, and know your capabilities," he said.

Taum stood up and stretched out her arms and legs. She lightly combed her fingers through her hair and looked at Colton. He was talking about the Dark Side and how it resides in everyone. She didn't like that there was darkness in her. "What if fall into the darkness and I can't get back out? Will I do horrible things?" She didn't like the idea of her doing anything like killing people.
She saw him activate his sabers, they were both long white blades of energy. She couldn't see what he was doing but the pulses of the beasts were gone. She didn't want to ask what he had done because she felt a pulse of darkness coming from Colton. It faded once the creatures were gone, but she didn't like that pulse of darkness. He hadn't been either -- but also both -- when she first met him. He was a confusing person. "What are you? Your light and dark, but....not."

Colt considered all of her questions for a moment. His blades deactivating, they spun about in his hands before clipping back to his belt on both sides. He took a deep breath, and let the Force flow through him, letting it's calming influence flow back and sustain him again...
"You'll always be able to get back out, if you want to... that's the thing with temptation, it'll call on things you want, tempt you with things that intrigue you, call upon your desires... Arruna was once with the Sith, a slave girl, who won her freedom by killing her captor... her anger and her rage at what they had done to her and her sister... that drove her to do many a horrible thing, it was her sister that pulled her back out, for she saw what she had done, and saw the horror and fear on her sister's face... she wants to do right by her, so for her, each day is a constant battle, she came to me to further her training, to teach her control," he explained.
"I was once a Sith as well, one who tracked and killed Jedi, and was good at it... but it was the love of a Jedi woman that saved me... pulled me from the mire... and let me see what the Sith really stood for, even after they took her from me... and now it's Adara, held captive by the Sith, that drives me on... Mando Cabure, me becoming Chief... I did that all for her, so she'd have a home..." he explained, "I am the light and the dark, I am the Force as it's meant to be, in balance, you don't have to be like me, you can be a beacon of light, or an avatar of darkness, or something in between, what you want to be, it is my job to get you there," he told her.
"I wouldn't want anyone to be like me, because to get there, your life will need a bit more tragedy then you've already endured," he added, "Come, your journey has been a long one, I think it's time to retire for the night," he stated, offering her his hand once more.
((OOC: I think after your post, we can finish this thread, as soon as I'm able, I'll throw up a training thread for you, and we can get you started! Your ten days are up, welcome to Sithlore officially! Head on over to beta.sithlore.com and follow the instructions to make Taum all official!))

Re: Shuttle to Naboo
Taum listened patiently. She didn't like the idea of being in that darkness. It seemed....sentient. But the universe had it's own plans. She may not like what happens to her, but that was always the way with things. If the universe wanted her to be a Sith then all of her screaming and crying would be in vain.
She grabbed her eye band and slipped it back on. More tragedy? What could be more tragic then losing both of her parents at a young age? She took Colton's extended hand and smiled. "I like you, Colton." She had only met him that morning, but he felt like a smart older brother.
