Fall of Tion

---GORDIAN REACH
---DEADSPACE
---AFTER THE EVENTS IN “QUICKSAND”

Sleek and silent with a dagger shaped prow, she drifted in deadspace at a specific set of rendezvous coordinates. The identification codes pinged out as the Stalker, a ship that had not been in service since the time of the prior Dark Lord of the Sith. It had been last seen aboard the Malevolent which had gone down above the world of Moraband. Now she sat silent just outside of an asteroid cluster on minimal power - watching - waiting - ever silent on the hunt.

Warhound Command had been called upon. The word had been given and it was time to move onto the path of war once again. Too long had the people of this galaxy sat idle - getting fat and complacent. It was time to refresh the memories of all that there were still nightmares out there to fear.

So here the Sith Infiltrator, the Stalker awaited the arrival of a large contingent of the Sith Armada. The loyalties of the past were to be put to the test. It was time to call on the alliances of old and harken forth the dawn of a new age. Where the Sith would stride the stars with such fearsome wrath that they would never again be forgotten. How dare the peoples of this galaxy think themselves safe when yet a single Sith Lord had been left breathing.

It was nearly here - the season of the harvest where the moon would bleed and the innocent would cry out in lamentation.

That day on Moraband when many forces had arrayed themselves together to strike down a single being - they had thought it was the end of their terror. The best of two evils. No - it had only been the beginning of something far far worse than anything they could have ever imagined.

Captain Prescotti was on the officer on duty aboard the flagship of Warhound, the Naga class Dreadnaught “Magnetar” the personal command ship of the War-Bringer himself. The battlegroup having reassembled after capturing Grison, the man who was responsible for Warvanus’ carbonite prison. A prison that he had recently been freed from.

Sir” the Comm officer on duty called out “Encrypted priority transmission incoming

The captain came over to the comm officer’s station. He found it unsual it was encrypted “From who Lt?” he asked

No identification but it is addressed to Lord Warvanus” The young Lt replied.

Captain Prescotti rubbed his chin in thought. In the end it was not his business unless Lord Warvanus deemed they needed to know. Normally Kinta Vetasa would take care of this but she was not on board. “I will dispatch it to Lord Warvanus” he told the junior officer. With that he took over the station. First he commed the Sith Lord.

What is it Captain” Asked Warvanus through the comm, he had sounded irritated for being disturbed.

An urgent communique for you My Lord, It is encrypted shall I dispatch it?

At once Captain” with that he cut the comm. The Captain then did as ordered and then resigned the station back to the jr officer. The young Lt. Took his station and Captain Prescotti resumed his own work..

=Warvanus’ Quarters=

Warvanus had been meditating when he was interrupted, it was important and therefore the Captain would live at least for another day. He entered the decryption key, he recognized it and the Captain was very right to disturb him for this. It was an audio message but the voice he recognized instantly.

Tormentous

He listened, and as he listened he could feel his blood quicken. Time for peace and complacency is over. It was time, Using his encryption he sent Tormentous a audio message.

As you call Master, I will answer” It was short, sweet to the point, and Tormentous would know that Warhound was at his disposal.

After a few minutes to fully process the message and the beginning of the cycle of events that would not be undone. The First message he sent to Prescotti commanding him to change course and head to Gordian Reach, they would rendezvous there. Second message he sent to the rest of the Captains in the group with the same orders. The last message was to his apprentice Kinta Vetasa to meet them in the Gordian Reach. When he was done, he leaned back in his seat. A smile forming on his lips. The cycle of events had been set in motion.

One by one the vessels under Warhound Command began to arrive at the coordinates given by their Lord and one by one these mighty warships of the Sith Armada began to form up into a proper formation. It was orderly and concise, very sharp, as it seemed their training and discipline had been kept up with and enforced. It’s what made the difference between pirate rabble and an organized force of a militarized navy. The Sith Armada - Warhound Command - was a unit together and it was beautiful to see in action.

No sooner had the fleet began to arrive the ship AI of the Stalker scanned these vessels and only reacted once the behemoth form of the Magnetar ripped itself from hyperspace and took its place at the head of the formation. Once detected, the Infiltrator engaged its engines and set course for the capital ship of the Warhound Command.

In that moment the AI pinged the incoming vessel did the AI alert its’ passenger to the updated status of the situation.

The man knelt quietly in his quarters, head bowed in contemplation and pure focus as he fought unceasingly to fight back the pain he suffered moment to moment as the Force taunted and mocked him for his existence. In his defiance he cursed right back at it and just kept moving forward. He had little choice in the matter, there was no escaping the Force and with the only release being the outward extension of his power - his options were limited in this setting.

“My Lord.” rang the AI in its feminine tone, “The Warhound Command has responded, we’ll board them within the hour.”

Winking out, the light vanished from the console and left him in the darkness once again.

Without his care the little ship docked with the massive ship and landed within its hangar. The ramp lowered with a hiss and so he came forth through the steaming jets. The smoke blasted across his wide shoulders as he descended the ramp.

Unadorned with any weapon, he wore a heavy black cape over the top of fitted Sith Eradicator Armor, the clasps of the cape were silver as was the chain holding them together. A hood covered his face but did not hide the red lights of the face mask he wore that only covered from his nose and downward. His gauntlets were of beaten beskar iron from his past, Mandalorian Crushgaunts, twin blades adorned his forearms.

His physique and stature were not like they’d been previously. Since the events pertaining to his defeat and humiliation and after the war on Vorpa’ya - he had rededicated his body to physical perfection and once more he had broken his bodily form from carved stone. He was back in shape and he strode as if he physically owned the area around him as he once did in his prime rather than just through his raw power through the Dark Side of the Force. It was a resurrection of the man that had fought the High Lord of the Echani to a victory hard earned - the man that had fought the legendary Hammer of Dathomir and lived - indeed, he had restored his body as well as his mind.

He came forth until his heavy armored boots reached the steel decking of the Magnetar. The welcoming delivered by the War-Bringer was grand as soldiers were arrayed in formations and officers were in their dress attire.

Standing before them all now, from the hood of his cape stared forth eyes that radiated pure unadulterated hatred and mirth. The loathsome visage of his right eye did not glow but it reflected a very faint milky white and for whosoever stared into that dead eye - their very souls would quiver and shirk away from it. From his left though glowed an eye of acid yellow and it saw prey wherever it looked.

He came from the Stalker without weapons - regardless of this point he had come unto the weak the fullest of intent to ravage those that had betrayed him and make them pay a dear price for being snakes. He would try them and those that were worthy would survive his wrath. Those that did not - he would bind them forever to his will.

Tormentous had come.

The Magnetar had cleared the Stalker clearance to board. It like the rest of Warhound was efficient, they knew who the occupant was and had been under the explicit orders of the War-Bringer to grant clearance.

The preparations for the arrival had begun the moment the battle-group a piece of the Sith Armada itself had jumped into Light speed. Kinta Vetasa had returned from her mission, the dedication of this apprentice to her Master was commendable or foolish depending on who was asked. In truth Warvanus had given alot to his apprentice. Freedom, tasks, training things that some Masters might have held back to keep their apprentices in line, but Warvanus did not need an apprentice he needed a partner one who was equally dedicated to facilitate the machinations that the War-Bringer had deemed worthy of their efforts. When the battle group had exited light speed, they assembled like a formidable force would. The Magnetar was the last to join the party but this was the flagship of Warhound, and it was also the personal command ship of the War-Bringer himself.

In the hanger bay soldiers, officers, pilots, even the War-Bringer himself and his apprentice Kinta Vetasa stood to her Master's right. The soldiers in their cleanest armor, the officers in their dress uniforms, all standing in lines like platoons should. At the head of each company stood the officer who commanded it. The senior officers stood behind the Sith Lord and his apprentice. Every being under Warvanus' command was fiercely loyal to the War-Bringer, and by proxy loyal to Tormentous.

The Infiltrator landed, and as the occupant disembarked the soldiers and officers all snapped to attention, Warvanus knelt as did his apprentice followed by the senior officers under his command. Nobody said a word as Tormentous himself, the rightful Sith Emperor descended upon the ramp.

Warvanus did notice that his Master's physical appearance seemed diminished which was expected given everything the man had been through it was to be expected and temporary, as the War-Bringer knew that he had an iron clad will, but the power he embodied, the power he commanded was as strong as ever if not stronger than he remembered him. Briefly his memory went back to when he was a captive and forced to suffer indignities. The Jedi Grandmaster himself had helped remove him from his rightful place, as did the Sith. Something the War-Bringer had helped put him there but unlike those involved Warvanus began to correct the mistake by freeing him from the GA prison, and kept him under his protection while he regained his power. Had Darth Blood faced him in one on one combat, the traditional apprentice turning on the Master for supremacy Warvanus would probably have a different agenda, and as a result the Sith suffered. The War-Bringer would help restore Tormentous’ place or die trying. His mind going back to the present, he waited for his Master to bid him to rise only then would he rise.

After rising to his feet, he spoke to his Master "Welcome to the Magnetar Master, it and the Warhound Battlegroup are at your command and at your service"

The others rose after Warvanus did, Kinta Vetasa kept silent. The air in the hanger was that as if the Emperor had graced them with his presence. While He did not sit upon the throne yet, it was in a sense exactly that. Tormentous would always be welcomed under any Sith asset under the jurisdiction of the War-Bringer. When Tormentous started to depart the hanger bay only Warvanus would follow. Kinta would see to the crew and the preperations. They would all be briefed when the time was right

The Dark One once more stood before his subjects though he paid them little heed for his primary focus remained upon the kneeling warrior. A hulk of a man - the War-Bringer and his grown power was mighty to behold - how he had become so powerful in his brief time was a wonder but it was most of all a testament to his determination. Indeed - Warvanus was among the few that could and should be considered worthy above the weak and pitiful. Tormentous was nothing but proud to have such a considerable ally and even though his loyalty had been in question in the past - Tormentous did not even fathom the idea currently of Warvanus’ future betrayal.

Two pointed fingers of the iron gauntlet, like talons on a predator, beckoned for the warrior of wrath to rise to his full stature. “Rise, my friend.” The metallic tone of his restored voice carried a certain venom to it that was reserved for Blood, Kenobi and Vassyl for his thoughts never strayed too far from that trio of viperous serpents.

Even so there was yet room still for the planning and execution of campaigns far and away. As it stood, Tormentous believed that there was still something out there to be gained before he sought to return to the Gordian Reach’s throne world to crush the life from Blood with his bare hands and until that time he would see to it that his will was fulfilled. So it came to pass that the Dark One had given forth the call upon his closest allies and assets. It was time to fill the Red Cauldron with blood and bring the demise of those foolish enough to not immediately bend the knee to his very name.

This duo of darkness retreated from the hangar and made for Warvanus’ quarters where they made specifically to his office of work - the locale where Warvanus would conduct not the matters of war or conquest but of state and organization.

Here the two then proceeded to make notice of Tormentous’ plans for the future.

Once the bulk of the details were covered - which in truth took the better portion of four long detailed hours, the plan afforded the first and initial stage.

“Lord Warvanus, set course for the edge of the Reach.”

As the trio headed out of the hanger bay, Warvanus’ apprentice took her leave to attend to ship matters. When seperated the pair, made their way to Warvanus’ quarters. There was electricity in the air, as if the rest of the crew knew something was about to happen and that anticipation filled the crew with excitement.

It was not until they reached the quarters that Darth Tormentous laid out his vision and plans for the future. The War-Bringer listened, while he was the architech of this future, The War-Bringer no doubt would be the sword. It was an honor, these were not just the immediate plans but the ones that that the War-Bringer knew would come to fruition but the very plans he knew that would come the moment he helped him escape that GA prison.

Lord Warvanus, set course for the edge of the Reach.”

He bowed his head, walking to his desk he pressed a button, this would go to all the ship commanders under his command. It was a text order, it was the coordinates to the edge of the Reach

One by one each ship entered the vast nothingness of hyperspace. When the Magnetar entered Hyperspace the messages from the rest of the group started to come in with confirmations

‘Moraband’- confirmed
‘Essence’- confirmed
‘Nemesis’- confirmed
‘Nightmare’ - confirmed
‘Revenge’- confirmed
‘Obsidian’- confirmed
‘Ruination’- confirmed
‘Varekai’- confirmed

Warvanus looked at Tormentous “confirmed Master, all ships are enroute” soon the Titans of the Sith would show the complacant galaxy the cost of their stagnatism. Soon, the galaxy would remember why the Sith were to be feared, and revered. It might take time to remind the galaxy but the opening salvo would soon be unleashed and felt by all

---R-6 IMPERIAL - ALLIANCE BORDER

With the plan in motion Tormentous returned to the Stalker for the majority of the journey to through the Gordian Reach though when the time drew near for the Warhound Command to arrive at the set coordinates, did the Dark One rise once more. He moved through the Infiltrator until he approached his armory and from there setting with its edge keen as ever it had been, a blade that shone like a mirror, and a heft that felt all too natural in his grip - Jidai Maras.

His gauntlet gripped around the leather and wire hilt to the sound of creaking leather. As soon as he touched the hilt of the legendary blade the whispers of the Dark Side of the Force engulfed his mind and screamed for release. Screeching talon across slate stone. With grit teeth did he defy the cries of a thousand thousand victims - a tremor in the Force echoed into the abyss as he took up his sword once more.

Cold.

A winter’s chill washed over him and the chamber he stood in as his connection to the Dark Side was once again fully restored. Lifting the sword up to glean his gaze upon it - he saw a venomous pair of red eyes staring right back and he glared from underneath his mask right back. “This is only the beginning of the Nightmare.” His words to the sword were spoken low but as soon as he finished them the eyes vanished and the screams ceased.

The thousand screams had been one - magnified.

Lowering the sword he departed the Infiltrator, his steps left behind hoarfrost. An unending chill to his raw evil presence. Warvanus was there, geared to the teeth and ready to bring ruin to the foes set against them. His strike teams were also assembled - the elite units of special forces that would accompany them on this lightning strike. “It is time we depart.”

Together they boarded the lead Firespray-31 Patrol Craft of the Warhound’s transport wing and now it was only a matter of time before they launched.

For this operation the Warhound Group would come out of hyperspace some lightyears away from the Galactic Alliance’s border world of Rhen Var. From there Warhound would send in its fastest ships in an attempt to remain as undetected as possible. Accompanying the swiftest vessels would be Firesprays transporting Tormentous, Warvanus, Kinta and a plethora of special forces who would lead this lethal strike at the GA’s eyes and ears in effort to keep the actual intent of the Sith a secret. Escort would of course be provided.

Once the long range communications capability of the Rhen Var Outpost were silenced, the rest of Warhound would arrive to swing the final hammer blow.

It was inevitable. Soon blood would be shed in vast oceans and leave the mothers of the Alliance crying as their brave sons and daughters were never heard from again.

Warvanus had spent the time in hyperspace preparing for what was to come, He had briefed his apprentice who in turn briefed the crew but the operatives and soldiers who were going on this mission the War-Bringer briefed personally.  When that was completed  he had the hanger ready 2 starfighter wings his order was not questioned but obeyed. Warvanus then proceeded to his quarters

Inside his quarters he would don his armor the same suit he would wear in every battle.  Clipped to his belt was his lightsaber. He did not believe in being unprepared, anyone under Warvanus' command knew this about their Lord. His boots echoed the halls of the Magnetar as he walked and made his way to the Armory. Once inside the War-Bringer equipped himself. Resting in  its sheath was a vibroblade which Warvanus affixed to his belt it hung opposite of his lightsaber. Clipping to his gauntlet was a CZ28 Flamethrower, it could come in handy. finally he had also affixed a small EMP generator to his belt. He expected little resistance in this operation but it was still good to be ready. The War-Bringer inspected his gear and when he was satisfied with his weapons, he exited the Armory and proceeded to the Stalker.

Once aboard the stalker, He had noted Tormentous and the blade that was once again his. The very sword he had forged and inbued with the Dark Side. It was a momentous moment one that would be remembered. He smiled under his helmet. It was good to see Tormentous again in all his dark fury.

When the Stalker took off and departed the Magnetar, Two wings left from the Warhound group, one wing of Skiprays which was acting like troop ships, and a wing of Razorfighters, He did not have much at his disposal but they were his fastest ships and they would serve him well. The two wings followed the Stalker, towards their target Rhen Var was a succulent fruit ripe for the picking, which would be done by the Mighty Titans of the Sith.  The final resting place of the Krath's first High Priest, the fallen Jedi Ulic Qel Droma. This world would soon be theirs.

---R-6 RHEN VAR

Ripping free of hyperspace the Sith Infiltrator Stalker came forth and immediately began screaming towards the ice orb of Rhen Var – ironically Jacobi’s homeworld long ago – behind the Infiltrator came the Wings of Warvanus’ hand. Seventy-two Skipray Blastboats bringing with troops and enough payload ordinance to level the Alliance’s long-range communications networks – and seventy-two Razorfighters which bore down with speed, ion cannons and plenty of offensive weaponry to claw life from the Alliance.

Warvanus was busy on the tactical communicator as he coordinated his forces, Tormentous on the other hand had his eye set on a juicy target, the command center of the Alliance Base here. He would descend to the surface of the world, slay every living creature capable of giving voice to the Sith’s presence here and set their bodies aflame in the fiendish delight of the Dark Side of the Force.

Beside him the sword hissed and his mind heard the calls – such temptation was hard to deny and Jidai Maras wanted blood. So much blood. It would have it by Tormenotus’ hand. He would slay and slay and slay, he would not stop until the Dark Side was satisfied and oh how it hungered. In so much as he lusted to kill and slaughter his foes, he vowed not to get tunnel vision on the greater picture here. If the Rhen Var system went quiet then the Warhound Command and another group of warships could slip right on by the long-range scanning systems of this border world where they’d be able to prey upon the Galactic Alliance at will.

A bonus would see Rhen Var in Sith hands for the history of this world was rife with such value that Alliance slaves would live and die here by the generation through Sith excavation mines. The lives sold here would only fuel the Dark Side as trinkets and bobbles were found and just maybe a real treasure worth hundreds of these lives would surface.

He readied himself for the battle – no – the massacre that was about to occur.

Warvanus stood at the console coordinating his forces. They were efficent and they were the best, they were Warhound which meant nothing short than the best the Sith Military offered. Indicators flashing, buttons blinking, readouts coming across the screen, the comm was a jabber of reports of statuses. It was expected so far it was going according to plan. He switched the comm to a secure channel

You know the plan, Skipray Squadrons one, two and three you will deploy and then once the cargo is deployed you will give us close air support, Skipray squadrons four five and six go for the comm towers and relays” He paused as he looked at a message on the display “Razor fighter squadrons one thru three escort and cover Skipray squadrons 3 squads to each group

Warvanus studied the console for a few moments, a grin crossing his lips as he saw his orders being carried out. His apprentice came to the console next to his , studying the status readouts. So far so good he thought to himself. The rest of the Warhound battlegroup a small distance from them, he had instructed the group to have any available ships ready to deploy at a moments notice. Hopefully it would not come to it.

He joined Tormentous as he observed Rhen Var. Saying nothing he stood beside him and gazed out the viewport. Master & Apprentice, “Let it be written that the resurgence of our order began at Rhen Var” He said not turning to face his Master. He knew that he had a connection to this world but it also held alot of historical significance with Rhen Var.

He watched from the viewport as his fighter wings were executing his orders, his own apprentice coordinating from the console that Warvanus had recently left. Everything was proceeding to plan and on schedule. They were in alignment with the will of the Dark Side. The mighty titans of the Sith would awaken the galaxy with this one strike. The Sith banner would fly over Rhen Var soon enough. The Galaxy will burn, they will wish they had done the job when they had so close put an end to the Sith fire. They had their time, now was the time for the Sith.
