Harnessing Hatred (Training Thread/Character Development) [Kroxata]
In the dark recesses of a blackened sanctum in the Maul, Xendiss sat perched on her knees, upper body inclined and waving gently from side to side, only to be interrupted with a spasm every now and then. The nightmares inflicted upon her Force Sight as a cause of the Dark Force influencing her natural perception caused great disturbance within her, tearing further away at her sanity, chunk by chunk. Over and over, she saw the destruction of galaxies, civilisations, the increasingly gore-riddled, terror-inducing massacre of her family. Each and every wave of a mysterious, Eldritch red mist that coursed through the imagery in her brain was the essence of pure hatred and bitterness, invading and inflicting her body, manifesting out into the exact same feelings that dug her way through her mind, nerves and every inch of her body like a parasite. Dark conflicted with Light around her body, slamming into one another, evoking a deep frustration that slowly brewed over, bursting out in each one of her rippling, incensed spasms.
Yet, there was a strange, contradicting sense of sombre serenity within the shadowy, crimson-lit sanctum. The gentle resonating hum of the otherwise God-like Dreadnought sung a singular toned melody, giving a casual, calming sense throughout the interior as the bestial fleet drifted through space. Ever so light vibrations rung under her fingers and toes as she sat in a crawling position, swaying ever so lightly like a baby, the sensations below her digits inducing a soothing feeling tingling up her nerves, right up to her spine. A mild sense of control increasingly improved within each and every practice of her meditation, but it was extremely slow, and not exactly steady. Even her motions struggled to keep her on all fours and the sudden sharp jolts of her body and joints were violent in nature, following forth with a growl that joined with the light buzz of the ship, dominating it with a cruelty that quickly faded out from its viciousness.
However, after each and every throb, Xendiss fell into the strange tranquil trance, all of the violence and horror being bottled up in her mind where she fought relentlessly for control. Her vision, on the other hand... this, she could not control. It had been flooded with bloody clouds, permanently staining her Force Sight with a scarlet stain that pulsated at the senses of life that dotted around the entire ship like a myriad of stars, each and every one screaming out through the Darkness. Solitude was bliss, but what remained of her pure sight and sanity which was ultimately being obliterated by the influx begged to see with clarity for a final time. Pleaded for some sense of freedom and ability to perform, compose and socially interact like a normal person once again.
It was time to adapt.

Re: Harnessing Hatred (Training Thread/Character Development) [Kroxata]
“Good…” The voice breaking the silence, booming throughout the pitch black room, the only source of light being a single red beam that gave way to spotlight the young Miraluka. Within the darkness the outlines of stone steps could be made, the cracks rearing upwards until they reached a throne made from the same rock, heavily decorated in various tribal symbols and emblems. Sitting upon this impressive display of craftsmanship, the Dreadlord sat, observing the latest entree into the Beast’s Lair, many had came to this place only to be devoured or killed in the trails that would follow, lost to the Dathomiri Hammer for they were weak, the weak had no place in the Red Cauldron, only the strong could rise from the ashes. Kroxata peers to his latest prodigy, one that fueled herself with such rage, such anger it almost impressed the Sith Lord to her ability, though it still remained untamed.
He watched with great interest, studying her body well, her figure was a very slim one, maybe due to the lack of light or nutrition Kroxata enforced onto her, keeping her hidden from the galaxy until she proved her worth. It took much longer than he first expected but the Champion of the Nightbrothers was known to create warriors out of anyone, and this small little girl was no different to the weakest of the tribe that would soon become the strongest.
He could feel the very flow of the Dark Side pulse away chaotically, with no guidance or master to tame its energies free to roam as it pleased. However through the cluster they seemed to avoid the daunting aura of the Sith, as if the Dark Side itself did not want to be under the influence of the Dathomiri Hammer, the energies needed a master and that master was too busy gormlessly blind to her next move. Although this frustrated the Dreadlord, he knew that this girl had potential and that he took it upon himself to spark the flame that will burn down the galaxy “That aura you feel around you, that hatred that roams free from your grasp, you cannot advance in anything until that darkness is yours to command. Focus… point your anger to a single object, to a single thought and it shall fall in.” He knew the trauma he caused this Miraluka, but this trauma may be the one thing that release her from her bindings, to unleash the Herald of Hatred that is dormant inside her.

~Begin Sense Force Disturbance Application
Each and every pulsation of the Force fluctuated around her - anomalous stems of the spectral lifeblood of the universe warped and contorted in the Miraluka who bled hatred, further twisted to extreme levels by the tenebrous Dreadlord that sat head, supervising her attempted control and training in order to harness what she tortured in every stride and thought.
A sudden clasp clamped unto her head as she felt a particularly strong wave pass through her mind like a violent crash of the tides, thrusting forth against the hardening bulwark of her mind that learnt to cope with the sempiternal, unwavering screaming whispers and horrific visions of the Force, which primarily had an infliction on her sight. She followed with the strong collision of focusing Force energies that used her mind as a conduit to signify a heavy disturbance that originated from an unknown location, grasping at the temples of her head and clawing away in pain, tensing up as she sat on her knees, body and muscles shutting in on one another as she cringed and hunched over in mental anguish. Perhaps it was simply the two's very presence, or another dark figure aboard the Maul, manipulating the Force to their own twisted will, to a degree that afflicted her weak, apprentice-level familiarisation with such power.
Another throb broke free and covered her sensory nerves in her brain, tearing down her spine with a sudden thrust that sent her upper body arching up, crimson locks flying back violently in the extreme speed and strength of her upper body's ascension. Xendiss' reaction to the Force in such a manner was still alien to what she had been taught her entire life, and only further she increased the familiarity and direct attunement with such power and harnessing of it in such a nature. The nature of the Sith; once the bane of her existence - especially if she was to grow older than her youngling adult age now.
The mere signal of the Force took conflict against the nerves of her entire body now, further increasing the agony. But it seemed as if it was calling out in despair - the very Force itself was crying out for help towards her in a thousands screams of tortured life and corrupted essences. She perceived it perfectly, sensing each and every one of its relayed messages as it flowed through her, still pulsating at her mind with its power that took a further toll on her mentality.
She could perceive it, but she couldn't cope with it.
A loud scream filled the throne-room - her own agony and despair that echoed that of the Force's which she could hear in her vulnerable state, yelling out in a free, high pitch that quickly lowered to a deep sob, hands splayed out against the ground, clawing and pawing at the metal idly in her torture.
Yet through this, understanding was made. Xendiss became increasingly affiliated with the sensation of disturbances in the Force, and bolstered and prepared against the true nature of the Dark Side and the messages it too sent.

Re: Harnessing Hatred (Training Thread/Character Development) [Kroxata]
An interesting display, the young Miraluka had sensed something, something that loomed over the Maul, over the Dreadlord himself. A power that was not his own but of another being one that many would feel as a great disturbance in the Force. But that was not of her concern, for now, Kroxata watched in anticipation to his new apprentice, his fingers scratching onto the stone of the arm rest either side of the throne, cracking and chipping air his nails observing her insanity unfold before his eyes, truly this would be the successor he had been searching many months for.
She released a scream of agony that echoed throughout the Beast’s Lair, unleashing a pulse wave of Dark Side energies to burst out from her, causing the objects not bolted down to the ground to shake on their surface. it became clear to the Dathomiri Hammer that the young Miraluka’s mind could not cope with this much trauma and essence of the Dark Side forced upon her in such a short span of time, even the mighty Nightbrother Champion had to first understand the Force itself before moving to the Dark Side. His gaze does not advert from most would see as a very unpleasant performance but she did something, unexpected, she did not control the flow of the Force, no, it was still roaming around in utter chaos around her which brought anger to the Sith Lord, but then confusion, she had learnt something without him even telling her how, most remarkable.
However the Dark Side was tearing her apart, if he did not intervene then she would be lost to the dark void forever. Without a second to spare, Kroxata springs up from his throne extending out his arms, a thud sound followed with a massive pulse passing through his apprentice, not enough to knock her over but she would be able to feel a pulling sensation in her core. Slowly he turns his hands around so that his palms were now facing the ceiling and with a deep breath he retracts them back, the chaotic energies that surrounded Xendiss, all the constructive forces of the Dark Side began to jolt back and forth trying to escape the reins of the Sith, until finally becoming tamed and obedient to his command, ushering towards his aura merging with his own, he could feel the many emotions within the chaotic swirl of the Dark Side, hatred, anger but strangely...fear, in they end they all submitting to his rule as all should in time.
A scowl formed on his face, his amber glowing eyes set upon the curled up Miraluka, he could feel the fear flowing through her, she was afraid but of what? The Dark Side? Perhaps a different approach was in order. Kroxata, much like the time she broke from her cell, came to her as a friend, a mentor, kneeling directly in front of her, his giant figure casting a shadow over his apprentice, no longer did he shout or order her to do his will. His voice was much more soft and soothing, she was mentally unstable, the invoke such instability would only make the matter worse. “You impress me, you have learnt something I have not even taught you yet, I knew your race were strong with the Force, but to see it myself, is truly remarkable.” He gently places one of his giant hands on her shoulder closing his eyes, gently the flow of the Force warped around them, but it was not at hamry, it was merely controlled by a master that conducted its movement. And yet there was something else, something that did not obey Kroxata’s will.
Resting only a few meters away from them stood a mushroom shaped plant, its fungi formations were random, creating small spores of many vibrant colours, in no particular pattern. This unique planet came from a planet coated in a thick shade of the Dark Side, its creatures and environment itself has been affected by this constant presence, even now this small plant carried much of the Dark taint that plagued it. Though this was not what brought the attention of Kroxata, everything was connected through the Force, even this planet emitted a small dose of the Dark Side that had its own will. “My child, reach out to the Force, calm yourself, and focus your attention to the object beside me, tell me what you sense from it.”

Xendiss strained what remaining energies she could, expelling the excess anger from her aura. Yet a swirling vortex of the powers continued to whir around her body, unbridled and continuing to inflict her mind, breaking the previous focus she had adopted through mental strain. Such influence of her mind to be able to stand her ground against the oncoming afflictions came with a price in the aftermath. Aftershocks rippled and quaked through her mind, tearing away at her sanity and opening decayed, eroded gateways in her mind for the Dark Force to induce nightmares through her visions and unleash horrors upon her senses.
She couldn't look at the source Kroxata had attempted to avert her dead set attention towards. The tenebrous figure standing in front of her that was the Dreadlord himself was enough to induce enough unappealing feelings towards the command and break the bulwark of her frail mind. Focusing her Force Sight upon the ordered target would only further give rise to the nightmares and enhanced hallucinations that corrupted its once natural perception. Still on her knees, Xendiss strained her muscles and mind, fighting internally with every through strangulating and wrestling the oncoming invasions of the Dark Side's spiking javelins of malicious anguish and warped distortions. Enhanced focus brought about a steady but certain success, ultimately fighting back against the mental pillaging, portrayed by the stiffness of her body that perked upright yet again like a statue. Regulation of her respiration also ensued, as further, more controlled visions flooded over her visual perception. Lands of sickly fungi that ranged to titanic, towering sizes began to mould a reality of a humid planet's surface, atmosphere strangled by a verdant gas that leaked from the colossal mushrooms. A myriad surrounded her in the small opening of the fungal forest, locking her in as squishy vines pumped and throbbed physically from their stems, thrusting forth more and more of the gas that added to the green air and the disgusting purple ground.
A darker presence loomed across the plagued, blighted lands. A thick, misted black shroud that blanketed it all... this land was no already natural planet. It was inflicted by the Dark Side that stained all the life around, weighing down and sending its wild, bestial denizens mad as several tortured screams of local bird-like creatures and critters screeched throughout the scene, rippling forth an echo. Xendiss realised that without even looking at the mushroom she had been told to look at, which she didn't even know was a mushroom in itself, she was able to tell its nature and existence, developing a world of its own, right down to its very origin.
The calls of the surrounding wildlife were screaming for assistance towards the young girl, begging for release. It was symbolic of what was truly laying behind the constricting snake-like, devilish aura of the object she had been ordered to focus upon.
Life. She sensed life from it, and perceived the landscape from where it had been stripped from. It was a plant - even non-intellectual life could be touched by the Dark Side like this.
Horrific.

Re: Harnessing Hatred (Training Thread/Character Development) [Kroxata]
A smirk of delight appeared on the Dreadlord’s face, the small stimulus of the fungus like plant from Felucia had done so much more than she could realise, for this simple plant could connect her to the Force In ways the young Miraluken could have never possibly imagined, and soon she will know the power she could harness for her own. But for now she had passed her test, her aura felt weak and any more would push her beyond her limit, something the master did not want to have to deal with. Her experience however prompt a fascinating view on how the Miralukan race itself established its connection with the Force, he knew little of the race so to see what his apprentice saw and feel her way of precepting the void of the Force was truly a marvel to behold. He nods his head to her recognition of the object's significance “Yes, good. You have taken your first step into a much bigger world my apprentice.” rising from his coruched position he stands to fall height, his shadow completely swallowing the Light that shined on Xendiss, “You have done well today, the Force has been kind to you, but I am remain unconvinced of your skill as a warrior.”
He steps away from the blinding spotlight, raising the plating that protects the viewpoint out into the vast emptiness of space, a void that reaches further than any explorer has explored, revealing billions of separate galaxies, and yet through all these different stars, the Force flowed all the same. Its wave was calm and smooth in the darkness of space, staying in balance with neither dark or Light dominating the galaxies, but hints of the Dark side glimmered with much destruction and hatred bursting through the fabrics of the Dark Side void into the physical plain of existence. Though below the void of space, a pitch black object obscures the rest of space, circular shape and radiating energies of the Dark Side could only implement that they looked upon a planet.
“This my apprentice, is Felucia, it is where this small plant came from. It has been infused with the Dark Side making the terrain deadly to any humanoid, the intense conditions can only be handled by a few. We have come here to test your skills in battle, many predators dwell on Felucia, it has become one of my more favoured hunting grounds, the prey here is exceptional to my long found collection of trophies..” He marches to a small weapon rack of various Vibro weapons with many tribal insignias embedded into spears, halberds, axes, swords, daggers, almost every melee weapon anyone could possibly imagine. “This is where your skills shall be tested, we will first hunt the common Acklay, it is a worthy foe, enough to serve as your first trail, you may pick a weapon of your choosing and then we may begin.”
The Dreadlord immediately unbuckles the joints connecting his black armour, letting the metal plates drop to the floor with a loud crash, removing the chain mail that prevented any lone blaster bolt or lightstaber to pierce through his body, leaving his top half completely bare. He takes a single bandaller to act as a holster and wraps it around his shoulder, through the heavily tattooed body his scars were finally revealed, each one left by the many opponents he has fought in the past taking up a gigantic halberd that even stretches longer than the height of the Dathomiri Hammer. He slams the Halberd to the metal ground causing the echo to ring across the chamber before he made his way to the sliding doors to the rest of the Maul, “Once You have chosen your weapon, we shall make way to Felucia, and your first trial of skill may begin.”

Re: Harnessing Hatred (Training Thread/Character Development) [Kroxata]
Each and every stem and flow of the Force through the great dark interlaced with one another, drawing lines through nothingness as Xendiss' sight made out their every twist and turn. They were mesmerising, ensnaring her attention as her face lifted from depression and absolute dismay into one of absolute awe.
Only until the massive swirling spherule of planetary darkness trapped her vision into one of a thousand nightmares, envisioning death and torture over the entire globe whilst a myriad of life-forms screamed up to her Force sensitive perceptions. Like the space surrounding the scene through the observational window, millions of dotted traces of life scattered the shrouded planet like stars. The entire body of Felucia was one that seemed an intergalactic copy of her own aura, but enraged a million times over.
'How could this have came to be?' Xendiss wondered, the personality traits of her young, adventurous self shining through in her secluded curiosity, but not physically. The heavy slam of the hulking halberd into the metallic surface beneath both of them shook her up with the sudden demand of the echo.
The racked wall of weapons behind Kroxata instantly drew her attention. The youngling made no intimidating introduction like her master, but instead strode forth, scanning out across the translucent set of weaponry, attempting to perceive anything thin. Both hands brushed across all of the sharp blades and mighty weaponry, lightly pricking her skin a few times before her grasp slowly gripped around the slender, long blades of two vibro-blades, their dim red light stretching across the hind metallic stretch of the blades.
Perfect.
Withdrawing her weapons and feeling across their shape to become quickly familiar whilst gazing sightlessly over its shape took a generous amount of time, allowing her to soak in its feeling, sight following her finger tips that brushed across the technological weapons. The weapon of choice had been chosen and she simply awaited further order, looking back and up towards the Dreadlord, unable to prevent her sight from shifting lightly aside to view the massive maddened planet of blackened Force shrouding and suffocating its life and atmosphere once again.

Re: Harnessing Hatred (Training Thread/Character Development) [Kroxata]
Kroxata studies the small Miraluken’s every move, how she strive towards the rack of weapons with great curiosity slowly finding what best fitted the young Sith Acolyte taking every precaution as she brushed across the vast collection of Vibro spears, axes, swords, daggers until finally setting on a small pair of finely forged blades, their size matched perfectly with the lack of strength the small girl had, making the adaptation to a lightsaber all the more easier to teach for the Dreadlord. Once the apprentice looked to her master awaiting further instructions, the Dathomiri Hammer beckoned his chosen to follow.
The two would wonder the various corridors to the Maul, seeing the many naval officers and security rush around them, darting back and forth giving a slight gaze to the newcomer and their Lord. Some wise enough to bow their heads to their coming until finally they reached a small door, even to Xendiss this door would be significantly smaller to the others, outside standing either side of entry way are two IG-100 series Magna guards. Their soulless beams of red light focus onto the red haired female, before directing their gaze to Kroxata, their one and only master, the Dreadlord nods his head to them, in doing so they both stand aside allowing the two to enter.
Entering the small room they would both find that first looks were deceiving, for this appeared to be some sort of small arena, a small cluster of seats rising up to an elevated platform. All viewing and observing a metallic rectangular base. The Zabrak marched to the other side picking up a long vibro pole by its hilt, the size was not much longer than Xendiss’ own two vibro blades though seemed much thicker in size. He looks to his apprentice before activating a command panel on his wrist, a tall black coated training droid’s eyes come to life, emerging from the shadows taking the vibroblade from the Dreadlord, it slowly approaches the Miraluken as he talks. “Before you craft your own lightsaber, you must first be taught how to use one, this droid is programmed to strike and defend the appropriate maneuvers used in the first form of lightsaber combat, Shii-Cho, the most basic of the forms and the building foundations of the other six. You will spar with this droid until you perfect it, and in the end use the form to defeat it. May the test begin.”

Xendiss had done her research. Practiced relentlessly in her free time. She was ready for this... a mere bot. Like the ones she simply scraps within her quarters. The ones Graden highly disapproved the destruction of...
Death to him. He'd be next to meet with her arcing swipes and dances of blades if he even considered halting her advances. Although her practices were rather... unorthodox as to the lord's request, she was familiar with the practices of Shii-Cho and its simplistic but elegant ways. It was simply discipline that was lacking as she swung like a madwomen towards her multiple robotic opponents in the comfort of her own hall.
The focus on removing that vibroblade was imperative. Once it flicked on, Xendiss' heightened perception was able to sense it - its vibrating, quivering metallic blade rippling hundreds of times over in a split second. Each of her ears twitched as she too joined in the droid's readiness for combat, letting both simultaneously power up with a trimmed crimson light across the entire carbon-fibre black length. Her honed senses were able to feel the light trembles course up her nerves, signalling their readiness, and she too shook in slight delight at the rushing anticipation for combat. Yet she had to control herself, lest she'd fail her test to become familiar with and ultimately master the simple starting ways of Shii-Cho.
With a bow towards Kroxata, Xendiss gave her sign that she was ready, issuing the decree to Kroxata, informing him to start up the droid's training programmed phase for Shii-Cho without any words. Her Dreadlord complied, performing the necessary start-up to initiate the duel.
And so it begun.
A single arcing swipe, flowing like a waterfall, graceful for a metallic humanoid's motions swung out towards Xendiss, where she too elegantly danced around, immediately entering a clashing of swords. Constantly, as their blades met, her motions regained a steady pace, not reaching a heightened pace of celerity that would tempt her unquenchable bloodlust into a maddened flurry. The crashing sounds of thin metal tinkered and echoed through the small arena hall, one of the bot's swipes dicing off some of her hair, sending it splaying through the air and hovering over the droid's beaming red eyes. Not that she could perceive too much of him - she was struggling against its translucent, swirling form as it swung about in front of her. Trying to perceive its vibroblade and its full form simultaneously to her Force sight against metal was proving vexatious, causing her to lose discipline rather rapidly and send an over head swing into the droid's shoulder.
However, the robotic exoskeleton simply arched his vibroblade up once, sending its flat-foot out to kick her down and head onto her knees after swiping one of her swords away in one single motion.
A mere growl sounded as its programming caused it to hold back, allowing her to retrieve her sword after her slip-up. Not again would she make such a mistake... Storming to her blade, she bent down, swiping up the blade with one hand, echoing her footsteps through the arena whilst stepping back. A few breaths followed after sounding through a deep, bestial groan, disturbing considering it was emanating from such a young girl in a far from humorous manner.
The bot stood back in waiting, only to reenter skirmish as soon as she struck back. Each and every swipe lunged with fluent movements, flowing with beautiful stabs and slices which collided and overpowered the bot's joints that attempted to keep a hold on his own vibroblade. The onslaught was relentless, but appealing to watch in its masterful grace after she was able to sustain some sense of restraint. Slash after slash eventually centred in on the droid, able to gain the upper-hand by reaching advantageous strengths over the droid's own training. Xendiss twisted the style slightly with her own application of brutish swings, but synergy ensured that her blades synchronised in a simultaneous lock of a crossing formation on the robot's forearm. A mighty thrust shot up as she exclaimed with a triumphant scream, sending the sword flying in the air, successfully disarming the droid. Whilst it stood up in submission to its programming, it was knocked back a fair level from a boot of vengeance that kicked forth to release the frustration of her previous failure. Accomplishment of Shii-Cho's standard application of disarming had been reached, and Xendiss thrust out both arms like wings, powering down her shaking blades as she bowed, as if ending a divine ballerina dance.
