The Dawn of the Dawn Patrol (Alexander, Warv / PM to join)

Both Widow and Sureshot evaluated their unit’s new XO as he went through each different type of energy weapon. Firing a blaster was a simple feat but aiming well and true was another. Of course the Captain was exhausted from the PT, tomorrow they would start with marksmanship to compare results.

Sureshot watched with an interest, while Widow watched her face expressionless as the Captain went through each weapon. Inside she was impressed on how he was doing, being physically exhausted and doing fairly well for their first day. Their Lord definitely chose well she had thought. She remembered when she first joined. Warvanus had been impressed and told her CO that she was transferring under his personal command, which the Moff did object. When Warvanus in cold blood killed him in front of her, she knew this was the right one for her that this was her place.

When the target practice was done, they informed the Captain, to get some rest and that they would do this again at 0600. Once he went back they cleaned up and stored the weapons in their armory.

After the rough day and after making sure the weapons had been properly cared for Alexander went to his quarters (taking a slight detour through the cantina to pick up a few healthy snacks) and once he was in the safety of his quarters just lay down on his bed breathing in and out as he looked to the ceiling, pondering how the day went.

First of all the hell track was positively EXHAUSTING, he could see that whoever had thought of the name had aptly described it. The sheer physical cruelty of it was quite significant as his bruises could attest. Of course, it was nothing life-threatening as it would not do to lose good soldiers but the track made sure that if you even made a small slip up it hurt

Alexander himself wondered a little why lord Warvanus had promoted him to this position immediately.

Whilst he had attributes that could serve him well as captain he felt as if it was a pretty sudden jump. Especially considering that not only a day before he had been in an ancient cargo ship stuck in the depths of space. But life happened he guessed and it was better to roll with how things went rather than oppose it and get crushed by the gears of life.

Then Alexander took a bit out of his nutrient bar. He swore that it was one of the most tasteless excuses of food he had ever eaten. He would almost call it grey sludge but he supposed it was filling and it helped him recover from the day. Then after taking some time to simply rest Alexander changed his clothing to something more comfortable to sleep in and set a clock for 0515, to give him enough time to prepare. He then went to lay on the bed, making sure he got enough sleep to go through the next day with enough energy.

Sureshot at 0500 started banging on the door to the newest recruit “Captain wake up!!!” he was almost yelling, “We’re needed in the situation room ASAP” he banged the door a couple more times, then went off, there was a droid who would wait for the Captain in the event he needed to do know how to get to the situation room. Sureshot had urgency in his tone not panic, but urgent. It could only mean one thing. That it was direly important.

When the Captain arrived he would find that the whole team was seated at the table and standing at the head of it was Warvanus, and to his right one of his top operatives who went by the name Krieger. Krieger was Warvanus’ personal operative, he had been with the Sith Lord before the Dawn Patrol was even born. Some believed he was the Sith Lord’s apprentice but others knew he was not.

The team would say nothing and neither would Krieger or Warvanus , he knew that the Captain was not privy as he had retired before Warvanus could relay the message to for the early meeting. He did not hold it against the new Captain. He was technically still training. He would allow him that.

“Take your seat Captain” he simply said as he gestured to a seat across from Wiretap the unit’s CO

As Alexander heard banging at the door he rapidly got out of bed letting out a quick yell "I'll be ready in less than a minute" He then rushed himself into his clothes, just putting them on and grabbing whatever equipment he had before rushing to the situation room, luckily he had already scouted out the base a little so he knew where to go.

When he arrived Alexander slowed his pace and in a controlled manner walked to his position at the table and after Warvanus asked him to take a seat he took the seat across from wiretap. He then sat in a comfortable position with his hands clasped together above his legs and he waited for Warvanus to speak. Not asking why they were gathered at risk of sounding like a fool

When Alexander took his seat and the door was closed He brought up a holographic projection of a world. He began to speak

“This is a classified operation “he began “This is Lucazec , this has been for a long time a manufacturing world of resources for the sith empire” He changed the image and another image appeared of a man “This man is Cam Pycellan” he began “He is overseer and remains loyal to the former Dark Lord” he let the silence hang there a minute or two as if he was remembering his first mission as an apprentice. “My first mission for Darth Tormentous was to this world. There I brought the overseer before him and killed him. I then instated a new overseer Cam Pycellan, he remains loyal still to Darth Tormentous and as such has outlived his usefulness. Your mission is this. Infiltrate the compound, and take everything that he holds dear away. His family, his wife, everything, then kill him last.” He paused and looked around the room.

“This will not be an easy mission, the defenses now are stronger and more of them from when I infiltrated the compound with nothing but a blade and the Force. There are more mercenaries, troops, gun installations, anti-aircraft missile placements. This mission would be too much for the normal military in what needs to be accomplished, which is why I am sending you the most elite unit in the Sith Empire, You are to assassinate Overseer Pycellan, destroy everything he holds dear. Krieger ” he indicated to his personal operative “will be accompanying you on this mission, he has field experience, and will act as an advisor, Wiretap you will be in command with Foxtrot as your XO. Do not get in each other’s way, as Krieger has his own mission.” He flipped the hologram back to the planet and pointed at a land mass

“This is where the compound is, you will notice it is surrounded by mountains and an ocean. Drop down will be in the mountains that will be the best way to get in unseen as they have security along the coast. They might now in the mountains as well so be prepared for that. When the mission is completed use the retriever beacon I will issue you that will have your transport swing in for extraction. We are in our own space so backup forces will not be far” He then looked around the room “Spare no expense on equipment” he told Wiretap

“Now are there any questions?” The Sith Lord looked to each of them

A hand rose from amongst the group. A lesser noticed cadet, c'ept by the occasional ladies. Much couldn't be seen from the uniform which they wore, but the man was only one shade between pale and tanned. Dark hair was slicked back, sides faded on a shave, face clean as a whistle. Chiseled but slightly sharp in facial appearance, he took the features from his Nagai heritage, while the only resemblance of color he was granted was from his Zeltronian blood. He had a plain face, but there was something dangerous about him, as if he simply weren't meant to be trusted. Was it his charisma that got him this far? Or was it his lack of care who's throat his blade was up against?
He had rules, but his morals were far away from humane. He could have passed for human had he had them.

A sucker was in the corner of his mouth, and after a brief swallow, he casually asked, smooth edge of a knife made audible to the one who led this patrol he barely signed up for. "You want the head back, or can one of us keep it?" He had run out of ashtrays, and something as barbaric as using a skull for an ashtray wasn't off-putting to him. Deathsticks didn't clean up after themselves.

"And I didn't know where the meeting was, but I'm here now."

A spliced second passed before he finished the sucker with a crunch. Black irises met the face of the leader, looking at him almost uncaring of his own need to introduce himself.

"Tver's the name."

Alexander scowled when he saw the cadet smoke deathsticks. He did not like the stuff and whilst he had joined the military only recently he felt that using drugs was generally not approved off, especially in a unit such as the dawn patrol.

Alexander had listened carefully to what Lord Warvanus had said and it seemed he was going to be thrown into the deep end in the first mission already. With the information, he gathered he set up a mental picture of the base and it did not seem pretty. They were going to need a whole lot of stealth and explosives if they wanted this mission to be successful.

The mission would have been easy if they only had to take out this governor but it seemed they also needed to kill his family which was unfortunate. They could probably not expect any air support either considering the anti-aircraft missiles. On top of that, they would need to grav-drop into the mountains which were a bit unfortunate.

Alexander then raised his hand with amongst them four fingers raised. "I have four questions. First, what are the rules of engagement? Second, what will we do if the family of the man is not on site? Third, do we know anything about the skills and personality of the man? Any flaws we can exploit for example arrogance or pride and last but not least if we came in a situation in which the mission is in danger could we kill the overseer without executing his family or would we simply kill them all with a higher chance of casualties amongst the squad? "

Warvanus looked at the cadet in the back. Probably the one he
Approved to spend some time in the special forces community. He seemed green, but despite the lateness and stench of the deathsticks he liked the green cadet. He rested his hands on the table and leaned forward and spoke

“If you want to keep his skull as an ashtray I won’t object” he said simply. He turned and saw Foxtrot with questions. Of course he had questions, the man was a thinker he would have been disappointed if he had no questions.

“Rules of engagement fire at will, try to not kill the troopers as they are Sith Empire assets, the mercenaries on the other hand” he let that trail off before addressing his other questions

“They will be on site, Lucazec does not have regular transport to and from the planet, they will be there, Cam Pycellan is your primary target, but I want him to lose everything I have given him, if the mission ends up in danger the overseer is target alpha but know this, if it ends up in danger there will be hell to pay” He paused “as it will mean poor planning and execution” He left the rest for Wiretap to answer.

“Dismissed” he said simply but with the authority he embodied. He would accompany them on this mission, but he would remain aboard the blastboat. From there he would try to wrestle another secret from the Force.

Almost as though the leader of the entire mission had read his mind, he was approved of the skull to keep. For some selfish reason, something made him no longer want the skull. He's find another way to flick his drug's remains to the void. The other cadet had scowled at him, and with a grin that screamed 'hungry' to both men and women for different reasons, he asked he who would have been 'Alexander', "Hate me already, Foxy baby? If you wanna keep it for yourself, just say so."

Turning to Lord Warvanus, he leaned back, crossing fingers behind his head in a comfortable manner. "See ya there, boss man." But once dismissed, he slid from under the rim from the round table with the ease of a cutthroat, and swaggered out of the room with a gait of someone who had less to fear than a regular man.

Alexander would grimace a little but would keep a mostly blank face stating. "It's nothing"

But inside Alexander did not approve of what seemed like ill-discipline and disrespect from Tver. He was not really in a position to really voice the thoughts out loud since he would mostly be a hypocrite since he was also green but Alexander did think like that.

When Warvanus was finished with the debriefing Alexander asked Wiretap. "Do you know a location where we can hash out a plan on how to deal with this mission ?"

It would be helpful to have a good plan in place. Even if most plans did not survive the first contact with the enemy having one in place was always essential. Furthermore, he wanted to brainstorm with the few other members here whether some things might or might not be possible,
