Everything all happened so fast, one moment Ranger Varn and Padawan Swann we’re mostly alone in they’re fight against the Sith Lord, the next he knew Jedi we’re dropping in and joining the fray. The Dashade however did not divert his focus as everything transpired, he’d successfully crippled the Dark ones initial attack but it seemed to have only agitated him more as he took Miss Swann captive with the Force. Varn had little time to figure out a counter move as his dark eyes spotted yet another Sith entering the battle and specifically targeting the Ranger with a large metal slab.

Varn’s dark eyes widened, he had not enough time to move to avoid the massive projectile. As he mentally prepared for the hit, and braced in such a way to hopefully allow him the best odds of survival, the slab flung itself off target. His gaze followed it as it intercepted the electronet, stopping Evelyns near capture by it grasp. Their he stood, snow still sticking to his robes, Master Kenobi. He had exited his trance and saved the Padawan and Ranger, once again Varn’s life was indebted to his repeated savior.

He couldn’t waste this moment and pulled his gaze from the aged Jedi Master. Varn’s sights turned to the new Sith on the field as Tormentus was pulled into combat with the newly arrived Jedi. This one was responsible for many of the deaths on the walls, Varn had seen the Sith briefly when he still had the snipers nest. He dropped to a knee, knowing now he had a line of force users between himself and the main threats, and unleashed the power of his T-21. He aimed for the Siths legs, knowing that the energy it would take for him to deflect the Dashade’s bolts from down low would open him up to potential threats to his upper body.

The rest of the Rangers had regrouped, the arrival of the Jedi and further reinforcements beyond the walls had given them the opportunity. They took note of their casualties and formed into three new groups, two groups of ten and one of three. The new Alpha team moved in to support the Jedi in their defense against the Sith warriors and supporting troops. Beta team moved back and started to pull towards the left wall hoping to push into the enemies now turning their focus to the Alliance drop ships. Charlie team, the smallest of the three pulled back to the main building and quickly climbed the ladders to reclaim the still functioning AA gun. One manned the weapon while he other two made sure that no infinity were allowed the opportunity to take aim at the gun. It’s first attack was to spray the right wall of the LP before returning to its primary function of peppering the arial units.

The young Padawan stood there ready. She could feel how her heart began to beat faster, as the devil himself approached, their distance closing in. As her heart began to pump her blood through her being quicker, she could feel the adrenaline kicking in. Her focus sharpened and her eyes showed this evil monster heading straight for her, that she was ready. Quirking a brow when the Sith Warriors changed their path and didn't continue to approach, Evelyn knew the upcoming fight was as close as it could get. She sensed it through the Force itself. Heavy grave darkness emitted from this man trying to stare her down. Asking the Light Side of the Force to stay with her through this encounter, she called upon it to aid her further. Creating a shield of energy around her being, the energies coming from within and from the Light around her. She pushed the Dark Side away from her. Its strings unable to attach themselves to her.

The sense of danger pushed her to react and she was about to parry Tormentous's strike against her, though she never got to before his attention changed in the direction of Varn and it gave her a chance to get a bit further away from him. Taking some good steps backwards, Evelyn kept her weapons ready. However, things happened quickly now and the young lady had to be even more prepared and focused on the battle ahead.

As soon as she had thought of trying to send a shot from her blaster pistol in his direction, she felt the pull. The invisible hand manipulating with the gravity around her. Clenching her teeth, Miss Swann took a deep breath and concentrated to use the aid of the Force to not become a rag doll like Master Kenobi had taught her. Tormentous's strength within the Force itself was far greater and stronger than herself, this she had been aware of from the start, but Evelyn knew she still could dampen some of the attacks to an extent. As the pull got stronger, she could feel that it was inevitable, and she felt how she was dragged towards the puppet master. This caused her to swiftly look at why she was pulled in that direction and she got her eyes on the electronet. The brunette used the momentum of the pull to her advantage and was about to throw her pistol at the net to have something inbetween it and herself. She never got that far however, as the big piece of metallic debris came flying in front of her, hugging the electronet with a loud ringing no being shout out loud. Evelyn stabbed her vibrosword down into the thick snow to slow her speed and rolled to her side. The collision of the two things a good few metres from her. Her hair was a mess like the battlefield before her. Now was the last stand, and defend she would.

Her hazel orbs observed how Tormentous had begun to fight against the other Jedi that had come to their aid. It was brutal to say the least and she wanted to go help, but she knew she would be more in the way than actually be of help. Breathing heavily, she stood and looked quickly to Varn and Master Kenobi. Varn had already started another defense and Ben looked ready with his lightsaber equipped. Her eyes then turned to look at the remaining fighting Jedi against Tormentous. The Jedi Master that had spared a glance at her before the fight continued to emerge, she had a feeling that this would be short lived. She studied their encounter, her mind telling her that Tormentous was merely toying with this man. Clenching her teeth, Evelyn was standing there ready to continue defending against this Dark Lord and the other Sith who seemed to be the right hand to this malicious man.

"Sir," the Mon Cala officer turned towards Captain Antilles. "One of the enemy bogeys has just altered course and is heading directly for us. Green Two from Green Squadron is pursuit - I believe the pilot is a Jedi, sir."

The Captain raised an eyebrow, before exchanging a glance with Admiral Valark, who clenched his teeth. A veteran, he understood. No simple pilot would be foolhardy enough to attempt to take on a star cruiser, and a Jedi wouldn't leave the heat of battle on a pursuit course for a single TIE unless for a significant opponent.

"... We'll trust our Jedi to do his jo--"

Suddenly, klaxons blared to life aboard the bridge, and officers began scuttering to and fro as new data emerged on the viewscreen in front of him. Captain Antilles and Admiral Valark studied the newly updated battle schematics; the Sith vessels had made quite a dynamic entrance. Not only had they shown up a distance away, they had an Interdictor vessel.

"Well," Admiral Valark sighed, massaging the bridge of his nose, as the rest of the crewmen updated him what they could gather regarding the enemy vessels' movements. "Captain, how many squadrons do we have to spare?"

"Across the Fleet? Plenty, sir."

"Then there's no point just sitting here then, is it? Send a squadron to engage the deployed Sith reinforcements. Ensure then that they do not rendezvous with the ground forces. As for the Sith frigates, assume Formation Enth..."

The lighter crafts, namely the CR90a Pale Rider, the strike cruiser Midnight Run and the frigate MC30c Startide would break off from the main fleet and began sailing towards the Sith fleet, even as the larger cruisers of the Alliance fleet began strategically repositioning themselves for the inevitable face-off.

Meanwhile, a single squadron of XJ starfighters launched off of the hangar bays of one of the fleet ships, on a straight vector towards the ground assets deployed by the Sith fleet. Upon arriving within range, all twelve XJ wings of the squadron manned by their trained fighter pilots would bombard the Sith reinforcements with everything they had. Those assets weren't going to make it to the ground that easily.

A flare in the Force, as he saw the TIE Defender's vector extrapolated on his heads-up display intercepting the Alliance flagship, was enough to alert the experienced Alliance officer and Jedi of Karn's intent.

"Disowned bastard spawn of a thala-siren," the Jedi cursed the Sovereign under his breath before yanking his stick down full throttle. The green-trimmed XJ-wing's engine rumbled to life as he pursued the TIE. The Jedi let the Force direct his actions as he spun his X-wing around in a barrel roll throughout his pursuit course, attempting to get a lock onto Silas' vessel. But the Sovereign was good, the Jedi'd give him that.

Time for a gamble.

Closing his eyes and opening himself up to the Force, the Jedi quietly murmured just loud enough for his battle droid to hear. "Drop, deflect all power from rear shields to engines."

With a comically widened orbital photoreceptor, the BB-unit attempted to twitter out something along the lines of 'have you completely flushed your mind down the toilet?!' but Annan cut him off, "DO IT NOW!!!"

Drop, unable to resist a direct command from his master, acknowledged. The engines roared as the Jedi's Incom fighter sped forwards in a burst leaving behind a sublight propulsion trail, beginning to close the distance between the Sovereign's TIE and his own X-wing rapidly. He was losing power by the tens, and his astromech raging, but the Jedi ignored it all and focused on one thing and one thing alone:

What the Force directed him to do.

Bringing his starfighter out of the barrel roll and into a reverse J-turn so that his craft was now on a curved vector behind and to the left of Silas Karn's, Annan locked onto a completely unprecedented target: a small, insignificant frozen space rock, hardly a meter wide, floating in the wide expanse of space still between the TIE Defender and the Liberty, to the left of Silas' vector towards the Alliance flagship.

And he fired.

The advanced proton torpedo should wind around in a curved course heading straight for the space rock, before striking. The resulting explosion would not harm Silas or his TIE in the least. However, the devastatingly powerful blast from a proton-scattering warhead between himself and the Liberty should at the very least distract Silas, forcing him to slow down and change course.

"Drop, bring up rear shields back up to 30% power, pronto!" the Jedi ordered as his Incom starfighter, resultingly, slowed down by thirty percent again. It had been a huge gamble: he had lost a warhead and his fighter's total generated power had fallen down to 70% - a 30% wastage - thanks to that speed burst.

Yet, he could not let the Sovereign go anywhere near their flagship. He did not know whether they still had a telekinetic link or if the other party had cut it off, but Annan conveyed his feelings through the Force nonetheless.

'Your fight is with me, Darksider...'

Were the Sovereign aware of Annan’s plan in advance it would have done little to alter his decisions thereafter. The advantage of the Defender’s speed was all but insurmountable in comparison to the field. The High Priest was already closing in on his targets when the young adept made his play. “Warhead launch detected from an XJ-Wing closing within lethal firing range,” the assassin alerted its master as Silas was preparing to fire his own missile ordinance. The droid began feeding possible trajectories for the x-wing’s warhead. The young adept’s plan was sound.

Yet, the greatest detraction to his own efforts was attempting to goad the Sovereign through the swift use of telepathy. ‘Your fight is with me…’ The moment Annan touched upon the mind of the priest the Sovereign could sense his surface thoughts. This lead to assuming that the Jedi had succeeded in target locking his Defender. Turning to Nil the Sovereign spoke firmly yet with a hint of resignation, “Track the warhead and time our shields to its detonation. Pull power from our ordinance and prepare for impact. We…we are going to lose the ship.” Nil could not offer surprise as a flesh and blood companion but halted its movements temporarily in recognition of what Silas meant.

This play of words and thoughts had not lasted but for a few moments yet their culmination would be immediate. Sovereign finally locked onto the shield generators of the primary dock just as the warhead from Annan’s ship passed his Defender by. A sense of surprise mixed with temporary relief filled Silas as he returned to his own efforts. The Sith priest unleashed his ordinance of missiles only to be engulfed in an unexpected explosion. A fantastic series of vibrant bursts erupted around the fighter, engulfing it from Annan’s view. Both ships attacks were successful.

The TIE Defender’s shields crumpled swiftly under the duress of the kinetic of the eruption caused by Annan’s warhead bursting upon an otherwise unassuming asteroid. Spinning violently to the starboard side as the Defender emerged from the flames and debris half of the port wing was ripped asunder further erupting in another shockwave. The port side of the ship was charred and the shields for the entire vessel were down. The forward viewport was cracked though it was yet to be determined if it had caused a breach.

Despite the horrendous damage the TIE rocketed to the now gaping maw of the venting primary docks of the Liberty. An automatic blast door began sliding into place leaving the Sovereign little time to close the remaining distance and make his entrance. Men and machines were torn from the Liberty and swallowed by the great void. Sparks flew in the cockpit as the damage the Defender had received seemed to be terminal. With a final burst of speed from the fortunately unharmed engines the TIE launched ahead of the blast door and slammed into the main drag of the primary docking bay.

Though still shaken by the near-fatal incident the priest opened the cockpit, “Nil distance yourself immediately then you are free to raise havoc!” The pair leapt from the damaged fighter even as it careened into a nearby lift and burst into flames. The image of the assassin droid flickered out of sight as the Sovereign held firm for a moment. The chaos rent from the pair’s entry would take time even for the true professionals of the Alliance crew. Frustrated with the loss of his long held ship and the last remnant of Silas’s days as Regent, the Sovereign reached out to finally make his reply to Annan, ‘I gave you that chance’ (Telepathy)

Turning his attention to the yet unguarded bridge the furious priest began to march toward the turbolifts. “Instead you denied me. Now, all that you love will be rent asunder” The High Priest voiced eerily as Nil began to open fire on the already scattered few that remained to man the dock. Reaching to his left side Sovereign withdrew the ornate silver curved hilt from its rest and without ceremony ignited its dark-violet amethyst blade. The Lord Sovereign was now aboard the Liberty. With the blast door of the primary dock closed fast behind him there would be no one capable of challenging him and no aide arriving swift enough to avert disaster for the Alliance.

**Outer Rim Territories, Gordian Reach - Q-6**
**Infiltration Point Zerek**
**Keldabe-class Battleship The Azure Wind**

The fleet had been assembling for some time now, with starships dropping out of hyperspace around The Azure Wind periodically. Per protocol, each vessel reported in using analog blinkers, since transmissions at this point were kept to an absolute minimum. This process would be inconvenient for any other fleet in the galaxy, but the Blue Star Pirates had perfected the process and the bridge crew had took to action, just as they had rehearsed a hundred times over. For her part, Admiral Idris was huddled with a group of navigation specialists and ship captains around a holoprojector showing the arterial routes that crisscrossed the Gordian Reach.

The fleet had been separated into three components in preparation of the pirate advance. Detachment Aurek had already been sent ahead of the main fleet to scout the hyperlane junction located at the logically dubbed Point Aurek. Detachment Besh as well had been sent ahead to scout the junction at Point Besh. Scouting with the fastest and least conspicuous ships available was a necessity, as these junctions offered a Sith patrol-- or worse, fleet-- the opportunity to jump in behind the pirate force as it advanced. To help mitigate the very real risk of running head first into a Sith fleet element, Idris had identified a route into the Gordian that would maximize passing through systems that were deemed low-value, and minimized contact with systems that served as infrastructure hubs and other high-value manufacturing worlds. While this ran counter to the philosophy of pirating, the main priority for the entire fleet at this time was to cause as little noise as possible. This now was a time for observation.

While it ran counter to Anak Idris' brash nature, she was intelligent enough to have learned many lessons through surviving the Yuuzhan Vong invasions. How long the Vong had observed the galaxy for was still a matter of debate for scholars, but that was irrelevant to Idris. At the core of it, their methods of infiltrating the galaxy and gathering information-- which systems would break the back of the galaxy if taken, and which systems could be used to consolidate their power-- allowed them to sweep through a galaxy that had already been weakened by war. While Idris only had but one fleet and accordingly her expectations were tempered, there were bound to be weaknesses within the Gordian Reach that could be exploited, if only they could be found.

As the group huddled around the holoprojector broke and returned to station, Idris prepared to move the main fleet element forward. If all went to plan, the advance elements of the fleet would be standing by after completing their missions by the time Idris arrived.

Unsurprisingly, he had been unable to hail the MC90 cruiser. It was likely that their comm channels were all in use while coordinating whatever nightmare had developed within the system. This failure did not set easy on the pilot who had been dubbed squadron position twelve, as his fellow mates within the squadron were getting picked off one by one. Their last cries for assistance were always accompanied by a burst of static. Anyone who had ever piloted a starfighter knew that meant the speaker had met a fiery end as their starfighter and bodies were turned to little more than free-floating atoms. There were almost no avenues to fly in the maelstrom of laser cannon and turbolaser fire that the StarViper squadron had entered.

The pilot found himself separated from his wingmen, forced to duck his craft down to avoid a missile lock. The result of this evasive maneuver meant an out-of-place TIE Defender was nearly within his range. An X-Wing craft was hot in pursuit, and the pilot make a split-second decision that if the TIE Defender wasn't friendly to the Galactic Alliance forces, it likely wasn't friendly to the diminished Blue Star Pirate squadron that found themselves in the middle of this mess. The next few seconds were a confusion turn of events, as a projectile launched from the X-Wing fatally damaged the TIE Defender, but not before the deadly starfighter inflicted a wound to the MC90 cruiser's hangar bay. As if it had been planned, the TIE Defender disappeared behind the closing blast door and into the hangar bay, likely causing great internal damage to the vessel, though it remained unseen from this pilot's point of view. Twelve cut away, seeing now that he could not reach the TIE Defender in time.

It was at this moment that the pilot realized just how quiet the squadron's comm channel had fallen. Was he the only one left? As he maneuvered his starfighter toward the bow of the MC90, a series of impacts tore through his starfighter. His mind almost couldn't make sense of the laser cannons tearing through his starfighter's shields, but the readings on the cockpit control panel told him all he needed to know. The pilot had been strafed by an enemy starfighter and the result was that all systems were failing. Maneuvering controls had been affected, and at this proximity to the MC90 heavy cruiser, a collision was a foregone conclusion. Twelve called out for help, but at this point, there was either no one left who could help him or there was nothing that they could do. The choices before him were reduced to these: become nothing more than a scattered blip on the shield screen of the heavy cruiser, or eject and hope to be rescued before the limited life support systems within his flight suit expired. It was an easy choice, but one that took its own physical toll.

The force of the ejection threatened to overwhelm the pilot, and their uncontrolled spin through space made them black out momentarily. The life support systems within the flight suit had stopped him from spinning, at least, but it was ultimately the flash of laser cannon fire surging by him that caused the pilot to regain his senses. Still somewhat disoriented, the pilot attempted to regain his bearings. Finding little hope, the pilot reached their gloved hand outward, just behind the blaster pistol that had floated away from its holster moments ago...

Thunk!!

A cry of surprise rolled through the bridge of the Liberty, whose crew had up until this point maintained professional military composure throughout the battle. It seemed that a figure clad in a blue flight suit had somehow latched themselves to the bridge's main viewport. The first instinct of Captain Antilles was to charge the shields and zap the lifeless corpse off of the viewport, but that went by the wayside when the figure seemingly came to life and began gesturing toward the airlock located to the aft of the bridge section. To drive home their desire to come inside, the figure began to carefully maneuver along the viewport to the airlock at a humiliatingly delicate pace. It seemed that the pilot was cautious to firmly maintain as much bodily contact with the transparisteel viewport as possible, lest they go sliding off and hurtling into space. The Liberty was actively maneuvering, after all.

"For crying out loud, won't someone ready the airlock?" Captain Antilles ordered.

Minutes later, the pilot was hauled onto the bridge, their body limp within the blue flight suit and helmet. Whatever had happened to the pilot, they appeared to be exhausted. While the bridge crew had no opportunity to crowd around and watch, a Padawan learner and a couple of guards who had been near the airlock huddled around the mysterious figure.

"Dank farrik..." one of them said, reaching to unfasten the helmet concealing the pilot's face, "...I think I know who this is!"

---LP INTERIOR

Lightsaber on Sith Sword the clashing was swift and deadly. Master Wyk seemed to be a very talented warrior and he fought back with the fortitude that was owed to a Jedi and especially that of a Jedi Master. On more than one occasion the Master’s insight had staved Tormentous’ advances off and his counters had come close to altering the momentum of the duel outright. Though it was not to be - Darth Tormentous had fought for a long time under countless battlefields and his experience and ability was beyond most beings in this galaxy. Beyond this Jedi Master.

Tormentous launched his attack once more - a series of lightning strikes and the Jedi Master answered them all with near perfect defense. Though it was not to be. The Dark One assailed the defenses and caught the Jedi with the passing tip of his sword along the right bicep. If the weapon had been a lightsaber perhaps Master Wyk would have been able to continue. This weapon was the Jidai Maras and the Dark Side of the Force surrounded it in totality. It struck Master Wyk hard and the pains in his arm was as if his musculature was convulsing and his veins constricting. The hesitation allowed Tormentous to lash out and take the Jedi down with a sweep of his sword down and across his right thigh.

The wound was deep and disabling. There could be no way Master Wyk could stand again without medical attention. Tormentous would have gone in for the kill though the beaming yellow sentinel blade in front of his position caught his eye and he saw Ben Kenobi - he could not so much as withhold his ire and he left Jon Wyk bleeding profusely and lying in the snow.

The Dark Lord of the Sith came at the legendary Jedi Master in an outstanding fit of rage. No introductions were necessary and no bantering came before them. He wanted nothing less than to cleave this Jedi in half for the slay this man would be to deconstruct the galaxies’ greatest hope. If it weren’t for Ben Kenobi the Sith would have long since won.

He and only he was the reason that there was still good in this galaxy. No one else was powerful enough to withstand the horrors Tormentous had unleashed. Perhaps they could have delayed the inevitable. But it was this meddlesome Jedi that continuously stuck his nose in where it didn’t belong.

Tormentous began with a horizontal sweep to catch that annoyingly defensive spear and knock it aside. If he could get into Kenobi’s guard then he’d get his hands on the Jedi and if that happened he’d beat the life out of the old man personally.

---LP WALLS

AA flak fire peppered the rightmost walls and completely supressed a section of the Sith infantry for the moment to the echo of bloody screams. The non-wounded personnel would rise again but that AA presented a serious threat and needed to be dealt with. But it turned its fire to the skies and began fulfilling its purpose again. The rest of the walls did not seem to be pressed too hard in the last moments - it seemed the Jedi counter attack had largely stalled out for the moment which allowed the Sith heavy weapons to punish the Alliance LZ as more rocket fire streaked out on plumes of white smoke towards the tanks and clusters of infantry while snipers and heavy repeaters pinned down the Jedi.

Though so long as the Antarian Rangers inside continued to fight the Sith Soldiers couldn’t focus their fire and effectively neutralize the LZ group. So the stand off seemed as though it would continue until the real battle was concluded which was between the Jedi Knights and the Sith Warriors in the middle of the Listening Posts interior.

OOC: Sorry this is short
He gripped the hilt of his lightsaber tighter, anger rising in potency to see that his attack was thwarted. The Dashade did nothing but it was the Jedi Ben Kenobi. He would not touch the Legendary Jedi Master he belonged to the Legendary Dark Lord alone.

His golden iris’ locked on the Dashade. He knew he could not use any attacks with the Force due to its legendary resistance. One option remained. Instead of deflecting or dodging the bolts aimed so low Warvanus leapt in a dive towards the Dashade and over the bolts (Force Jump) directly into the beast his lightsaber in hand he would dismember the beast one limb at a time. He had no problem going hand to hand. The Warrior King, vs the Dashade and anybody other Jedi who wanted to die on this day.

This happened as his Master went for the Legendary Jedi Master. Right here and now the battle was turned up a notch, Warvanus would have it no other way. This was his place of centering himself. In the thick of the battle.

***Rhen Var Listening Post - Interior***

The walls of the Listening Post belonged to the Sith and they were using their weapons to great effect. A single rocket streaked by on a contrail of white and slammed into the mid-pannel of the Alliance’s T3-B Tank. Its armor erupted in a plume of fire and smoke, Alliance Vanguard around the tank fell aside, some wounded and some just concussed. The tank ground to a halt; its tracks on the left side thrown off. The crew cracked the top hatch and smoke rolled out from the interior. The Alliance Vanguard set up their offensive but managed to take on the heavy rate of small arms fire with a severe amount of return fire. The Vanguard were no slouches and they’d be able to take on the Sith in an even fight but with the highly defensive terrain the Sith held it was not going to be a simple thing.

The Jedi with the Vanguard were having trouble. Sniper rounds and heavy repeaters slung red scarlet down at their location in a volume that no one could have ignored. One of the Jedi Knights had already been shot down and another was wounded which forced the rest to slow their advance. The Sith were executing a valiant defense but it would not hold forever.

There was a crunch of snow that pounded the ground with heavy laden power that brought with it the sensation of an oncoming freight train. The Dark Lord of the Sith himself. The single most powerful Sith Lord in the Galaxy and surely one to have been counted among the Dark Lords of the past. Some even said that this one was well beyond those that had come before; to Ben Kenobi however he was a monster and a vile enemy of the Jedi Coalition to a lesser extent and to the Galaxy he was even more.

Ben’s sentinel blade burned bright in his hands as the Lord of the Sith charged him. Ben Kenobi did not falter and he would not fail in his mandate.

A horizontal sweep came in first and the Jedi Master deftly parried the strike and gave the Sith ground. The tenants of Soresu spoke of patience and defense. The lightspear offered the greatest defense if only one was willing to give in return his patience. Ben often had trouble with patience and had to constantly remind himself to take things slower. But this time Ben Kenobi was ready and fully prepared. Taking the brunt of the Sith Lord’s attack away the Jedi Master maneuvered aside and let the Sith come right at him. He parried and withdrew, rinse and repeat.

And so it had began…

***MC90 Heavy Cruiser ‘Liberty’***

“Captain!”

A voice called out from the command deck and Captain Antilles was attentive enough the hear the call over the din of the chaos already ongoing from coordinating an engagement on multiple fronts. The report was delivered that an intruder, specifically from the bogey that had crash landed in the hangar, had managed to gain a footing. The Captain was not willing to entertain any more guests; one had just landed on his front viewscreen… He quickly ordered primary blastdoors heading to the bridge sealed while Alliance Marines were alerted to arose and repel the boarding party.

It just so happened that the Alliance Navy had not deployed the entirety of its ground forces. Only the Alliance Vangaurd Combat Team had been deployed and in doing so left the bulk of the Alliance Marines still onboard their vessels of birth.

The Lord Sovereign had the misfortune of coming aboard the flagship of an Alliance Task Force that was full of Alliance fighting men and women. No time was wasted. Heavy weapons were immediately brought out and squads of disciplined Marines set up defensive cordons along every turbolift exit from this point up to the bridge. As many decks as there were on the ’Liberty’ it would spread the Marines thin at first but once the intruder showed his plans and they could properly coordinate.

At the time the bridge security was given a higher priority and so this security would be reflected from the higher levels down to the lower decks. They wouldn’t be able to stop the Sovereign from getting to the turbolifts but they’d be ready for him after that.

Meanwhile in the hangar the entire inner workings were turned upside down by the momentary exposure to vacuum. Now though that the hangar was stabilized the security staff took cover and immediately began opening fire on the intruder. They were equipped with BlasTech DH-17 Blaster Pistols. Other defensive measures such as hangar turrets swiveled to target the enemy though they were not designed for anit-infantry purposes so they instead pulverized the TIE Defender wreck into molten slag…

The dark eyes of the Dashade widened as the Sith who had his current focus leaped over the laser fire. With one side of his mind he held admiration for the skill and power it took to do such a feat on the other he knew the danger was now hurtling towards him. The battle around faded into the background, Sith verses Jedi, troopers verses Rangers, it was all a backdrop to what was now about to take Varn’s full focus.

With a quick bounce backwards the Dashade threw his T-21 into the snow for such a weapon was unwieldy in a melee and would only hinder his ability to fight. Perhaps if Varn survived the beginning of this new conflict he could make use of it again. He reached for his power mace and yanked it free from its latch. With the mace in his left hand Varn twisted his right wrist wearing his stun gauntlet but instead of the device activating a shield extended out of from the forearm. He knew neither his weapon nor the shield would hold back a lightsaber forever but both could withstand a few blows.

The Sith was now upon the Dashade and there was no way for the alien to escape the oncoming melee. The darksider’s blade came forward looking to end the large grey being who had been nothing but a nuisance this entire time. Varn had to react quickly and barely pulled up the shield in time as the red blade struck. Heat flashed across the Dashade’s form, making him quickly forget they were on a frozen world. The shield deflected the saber and sent it with its momentum flying off into the surrounding ice. The Sith momentum however kept coming and Varn suddenly found himself being tackled to the cold ground, his own weapons tumbling away. The Sith was now atop the Dashade, a yellow-gold orb staring into Varn’s own pupilless eyes. Varn couldn’t hold back a curse in his native tongue as he wished he’d been in his Stalker armor which would have given him an advantage in this melee.

((OOC I am very sorry it is so short but RL is at my throat right now, hope it still can be used.))

Evelyn’s breathing continued to increase as the adrenaline continued to pump through her veins. Getting back up on her feet swiftly, the young brunette moved her hair away from her features as she watched the Jedi Master react to the cut from Tormentous’s sword. Clipping her blaster back in its rightful place on her hip, Evy grabbed her vibrosword. Action had to be made as it seemed that Varn was in trouble. With Tormentous now focused on her Master, Ben Kenobi, it gave her the window to move closer to Varn with swift movement without anyone to stop her. Calling on the Light Side of the Force, the young lady asked it to guide her against this foe they now had to encounter. Evelyn’s body revealed that she was ready to fight, and that she was going to try and make a strike at the Sith, to take his focus off of Varn. She had gotten so close to them both now, that the Sith would have to react one way or the other, as her vibrosword was coming at him with multiple strikes in mind.
