A Herglic's encounter with the Blue Star Pirates

Post by Stavros Khor » Fri Jan 11, 2019 11:58 pm

"Commlink Log #1. My name is Stavros Khor. I am a Herglic from the planet of Giju. My goal in life is to find a purpose. I have a feeling, some sort of hunch, that today I will find a new friend. I am currently on the planet of Naboo, staying in a hotel overlooking the waterfall. I am apprehensive but excited for the new day to come. This is Stavros Khor, signing out." He turned off the recorder and looked around his room. He put on his clothes and, with some difficulty, walked out of the doorways leading to the front desk. He turned to the counter and put the credits on the desk to pay for the night's stay. He walked outside and took a breath of fresh air. He saw a ship that didn't look like any he'd seen before. He also saw a strange symbol on the side that looked like a blue star. "Huh... Never seen that before..."

Naboo...
It was a beautiful planet, Prazutis thought. Full of life, but not overgrown enough for the fauna to plague the surface. It was a wonderful planet, yet its significance was what Prazutis hated.

The Galactic Alliance capital.

Prazutis kept his hood fear enough over his helmet to keep anyone who had seen him before to recognize him, and clipped his cloak over his shoulders and chest to cover the imperial insignias. He hated being so far in Alliance territory, especially here near the capital, but his current mission required him to go into enemy territory. With the Empire's current offensive against the Blue Star Pirates, Prazutis needed to see just how close these bandits were to the Alliance. And seeing a BSP insignia on a landing pad on Naboo, Prazutis thought to himself, it seemed that their "relationship" was with close ties. Now he just needed to see HOW close.

Prazutis brought his right hand up, doing a quick diagnostic check of the prosthetic as he walked through the streets, noticing a Herglic not far in front of him. Although it wasn't much, he felt a call from the force towards this individual. He didn't move to attack, instead taking to quietly following him while he kept his yellow eyes on his cybernetic limb, feeling through the force for the man's aura to keep track of him.

Stavros turned and saw a hooded figure looking at the ship and him. He walked over the figure and looked down at him. "Hello."

Prazutis froze, sensing the towering figure in front of him. What had happened that he was spotted so easily? Was this man powerful within the force? Prazutis sensed nothing from him... did he have a mask? But if he did, then how did he sense Prazutis so easily?

10,000 thoughts ran through his head as he faced the individual, before a simple response finally uttered.
"Hello there."
in his normal voice, it would have been fairly comical. But with the deep, distorted voice that came from his helmet, it was just unsettling. But, prazutis pretended not to notice the awkward reply as he turned to the ship.
"Is that your ship?"

"Lombar!" the captain hollered from outside the starship.

Groaning, the Weequay thief got up from his station and shuffled over to the lowered boarding ramp, grabbing a side of the threshold and peering down, "Yeah, Cap'n?"

"The hells were you thinking displaying the Company symbol on the side of the hull?" the captain shouted, gesturing at the large blue logo on the side of the vessel, "You trying to get us frakkin' killed or something? We're pirates, ya dumb karf, it's illegal. Keep it covered with a piece of flashplate at all times, and only trigger it to burn off when we're raiding, so as to surprise the karkers we're going to board. Gods, I didn't think it was that hard..."

Lombar took the verbal assault with an expression that signaled complete disconnection. The young Weequay was a thief, not a spacer; the rules of the spacelanes meant little and less to him each day. As he rolled his eyes and headed back to the cargo hold, he cursed at the captain under his breath. What difference would it make if anyone saw the Blue Star Pirate standard blazed across the side of their hull? No one was watching their dinky little hauler, anyway.

He shook his head. "It's not mine, that's for sure. It's got a symbol on the side that I haven't seen before." He looked curiously at the man in the mask. "You're Force-sensitive, aren't you?"

Prazutis looked at the towering figure a moment before looking back at the ship, noticing one man trying to cover up the BSP insignia. He looked at the man a moment, feeling through the force... his aura... he was no friendly to the Empire.
"I may be..."
Prazutis walked forward towards the ship, making sure his hand was concealed by his cloak as he gently rested the prosthetic on his lightsaber.
It would be the worst thing possible to create a scene in front of the public, especially on this planet. So as he walked towards the ship, he went over what would happen. He couldn't use his lightsaber, he couldn't use his full power, as to keep himself hidden...
"You there."
Prazutis turned his hand, still hidden within his cloak, and reached out in the force. Rather than grabbing hold of the individual with the force, he went into detail, finding the man's vocal chords and holding them in place. There was no way he could speak now, Prazutis thought as he approached him.
"Is your captain nearby?"

"By the way, I see that lightsaber you have there. By the design, I would say you're a Sith, but I'm not certain. You must be quite powerful." He said nonchalantly, and looked at the pirate covering up the symbol. "I wonder why they're covering it up."

Lombar was nearly finished concealing the Blue Star Pirate insignia that he had so foolishly left exposed, when he felt an odd tickle in his throat. Immediately placing a hand to the front of his neck, Lombar attempted to clear his throat and rid himself of the odd sensation.

Ma always did say to lay off the cigs... he thought briefly, before disregarding the notion as quickly as he had when his late mother had squawked at him for smoking with his brothers.

Lombar didn't realize he was so preoccupied with his throat until he heard a voice call out behind him. A masked man in heavy armor was gesturing to him, but he couldn't find it within himself to respond. Cursing the cigarillos again, Lombar attempted to clear his throat and speak.

"Urk--" was about all he could manage.

It seemed that whatever was influencing his vocal chords at this very moment wasn't exactly allowing him to answer questions.

Prazutis nodded as he heard the stifled noise made by the man, confirming he had done what he had intended. He walked to board the ship before looking back at the massive being behind him.
“A smart one, you are... but I’m no Sith. The Sith are nothing but wretched, self-centered scum who would just as soon stab you than take orders from you. Much like some other beings in this galaxy.”
Prazutis looked at the pirate beside the insignia before stepping into the ship, looking for he captain.
“Excuse me?” He looked to the cockpit, feeling some sort of life essence coming from it.
