Rhoden reviewed Colher's progress on his datapad. "He's doing well, he'll be ready on schedule if not before." the instructor informed him. "Excellent, I think I'll participate in tomorrow's exercise--some kind of simulation, correct?" The instructor smiled, "He won't know what hit him."

Rhoden was waiting next to the instructor the following morning, "Cadet Harheat." he said, smiling, "I'll be participating in today's exercise... as your opponent." The exercise was a simple test of strategy, Colher would be on the bridge of a ship, in this case an Enforcer-class cruiser to match with the vessel he would be serving on upon completion of his training. He would have all the assets of Task Force Inferno at his command. One squadron of TIE Phantoms, one squadron of Starwings, two Assault Transports, a Lambda shuttle, and the Enforcer-cruiser itself.

Rhoden would have at his command a force unknown to the Cadet, but a fairly equivalent match. One squadron of XJ X-Wings, one squadron of B-Wings, two assault transports, and a Nebulon-B 2 Escort Frigate. It would be most interesting, he thought, to flex his skills in this particular area while also seeing how Colher fared.

When Colher that he was going to have a battle simulation against Commander Carbine he was shocked. ''A battle simulation right now?'' Colher asked to instructor Grosky. ''Yes right now Cadet, I will explain what you have to do. You will have the command of an Enforcer-class cruiser plus one squadron of TIE Phantoms, one squadron of Starwings, two Assault transports and a Lambda shuttle, the Commander's force will be unknow to you. What you have to do is disable the ship that Commander Carbine is on and capture him. The crew on board of both your ships are droid, the pilots of both yours and the commander's fighters are droid and the troops are also droids so you will not be killing imperials if you destroy a fighter, are you both ready to begin?'' asked Grosky. Colher and the Commander nodded. ''Good this shuttle will bring you to your ships I will be watching the battle from the ground base. Cadet the only thing you really have to keep in mind is do not destroy the ship the Commander is on.'' said Grosky as Colher entered the shuttle and he left for his ship. As Colher landed on the ship he was greeted by 10 droid soldiers, they walked along side him to the bridge. When he arrived on the bridge he had almost no time to settle in because not long after he enterd the bridge a message came from Instructor Grosky that the battle had began. ''scan for the enemy ships and deploy the Phantoms and Starwings'' Colher said to his bridge crew. ''Yes Sir'' was the response of the droids. Colher was nervous he never thought he would be in a space battle in the first week of training. ''Sir enemy fighters are closing in'' one of the droids on the bridge said. ''Order the Phantoms and starwings to attack and destroy those fighters'' Colher quickly said to the droid. The Phantoms and Starwings were stronger than the X and B-wings that attacked them but the wings were quick so only a few were destroyed before they fled, probably back to the Commander's main ship. Then not only the X and B-wings returned but also a Nebulon-B 2 Escort Frigate. ''order the battle droids to go to their transport's they must be ready to board the enemy ship when we disable it'' Colher said to one droid officer. ''Tell the Phantoms and Starwings to attack and destroy the remaing X and B-wings once they are destroyed tell them to attack the Frigates turbo laser'' Colher said to yet another droid officer. ''Fire all weapons of the cruiser at the Frigates engines prevent them from leaving'' Colher said to the last droid officer. He was nervously wwaiting how the Commander would response to this...

(ooc: I hope that what I have writen about the battle was realistic enough I am not much experience with roleplay and writing battles. But I hope it was good enough)

OOC: In fleet battles in particular you leave actions of the enemy ships to the enemy, and react to their actions. In a purely RP battle such as this damage of your own forces is at your discretion and should be reasonable. Also this would be a simulation, not droid ships, less expensive and such.

Rhoden deployed a squadron of B-Wing's escorted by XJ X-Wings to gauge the cadet's response, a typical sortie between the fighters followed by tactical retreat. Rhoden next moved the Nebulon out to engage the Enforcer-cruiser briefly, before once again withdrawing after the cadet's response.

Rhoden watched from a tactical display the cadet. He brought the Nebulon around to engage in a direct firefight with the other ship. Both squadrons of his fighters met the cadet's own, and the two assault transports dropped out of hyperspace at the flank of the Enforcer cruiser. If the cadet had thrown shield power forward their initial volley could prove devastating.
