---OUTER RIM TERRITORIES - R-5
---GORDIAN REACH
---ESSTRAN SECTOR - HORUSET SYSTEM

---MORABAND - GATEWAY TO THE STYGIAN CALDERA

A lone Lambda Shuttle, the Fangs of the Dragon, departed the massive Nightfall Destroyer Harbinger and its wings snapped down into the cruising position as the pilot and crew turned the craft lazily over the bow of the ancient warship and angled the nose of the ship to give full view of the orange glowing orb of Moraband - home of the Red Cauldron - dwelling place of the great Hydra - and the Citadel of the Dark One himself. As the shuttle came to full speed two massive space stations guarded the way, already the pilot and crew were obtaining clearance to pass through without being fired upon.

The passenger hold carried a single passenger - Kita Ikari. From the Harbinger where she’d thought to finally meet the Dark Lord of the Sith, he had not been there. As it was the party bringing her all this way had just missed him upon his return to the surface of throne world. Resuming their duties, the girl had been given means with which to resume the journey and find her way to the Lord of the Sith.

Beneath the shuttle’s viewport as they passed the twin defense stations was the world of Moraband. The approach went quietly enough but the view was stunning as the evening sun was setting on this hemisphere and casting vast shadows across the land. In the far distance a mighty volcano so recently awoken spewed broiling black smoke and ash into the skies. In the east there was a spire being constructed upon a plateau and its size dwarfed many modern structures in the entire Gordian Reach and perhaps beyond. But there was one structure that was so domineering that it swallowed the incoming scene as its peak hurled itself far into the sky - the Citadel of the Dark One.

A gothic temple so massive it was beyond the scale of the Citadel of Ziost and since the Imperial Palace on Coruscant had been burned to the ground years ago, it was likely now the most incredible work of craftsmanship in the galaxy. Standing before the citadel was a courtyard fitting of any modern armies’ parade ground. At the entryway of the Citadel was an avenue that was guarded by mighty statues of the faces of modern Lords of the Sith, many were long gone now though there were none that had not been alive during the reign of Darth Tormentous. The likenesses of the mightiest champions of the age were hewn in sandstone for all to see.

Kroxata Akhoi - the Dathomirian Hammer

Neive Undant

A massive Massassi Warrior - Chieftain of their kind

Several others lined the way though at the forefront before the entrance way were three.

Darth Warvanus - the War-Bringer and Bloody Right Hand

Slade Xandir

And then there was what appeared to be a young girl wearing a cloak and hood. Being a stone sculpture it left much detail to the imagination. Unlike the others there was no nameplate to recognize this statue. It was blank and where others were seemingly well kept and maintained - this one was neglected - seemingly forgotten.

It could be of note that the only statue dedicated to a non-Force Adept was that of the massive Massassi Warrior and too that Lord Sovereign had no place of honor despite being the High Priest of the Red Cauldron and the so-called Left Hand and Sorceror of Tormentous.

The flight took the shuttle down over the Valley of the Dark Lords where ancient statues and the most incredible history rested ever to be berated by the harsh winds of the world. The Fangs of the Dragon folded up her wings and rotated to present the ramp to the entrance of the Citadel. She touched down in the center of the parade ground - her ramp descended and permitted Kita to exit the interior, jet of exhaust and steam shot from the vents to herald her arrival onto the surface of Moraband.

At the bottom of the ramp stood a pair of heavily armored men. Their armor was of ancient looking plates and they carried exquisite halberds equipped with vibrocells, these weapons were as fierce as their wielders. Helms covered their likeness and added to their intimidating demeanor as one was framed by a set of vicious looking ivory tusks and the other had a set of ebony horns. The plated armor was not a shined steel but a darker gunmetal gray. It was a thing of beauty though equally frightening to the eye. Heavy capes adorned these silent sentinels and as the wind picked them up to whip in the wind both guards could be seen as armed with heavy blaster pistols as well - they were clearly armed and prepared for any engagement.

Though in contrast to Kita’s earlier journeys, she was no prisoner here and the sentinels were not here to press or shove her in unwanted directions nor beat her into a pulp. They approached her and came to turn about - they were escorting her and any who would approach without consent of the Dark One or his Hands would pay dearly for their trespasses. Obviously though - her path would lead into the Citadel of the Dark Lord along the avenue of the sandstone statues.

Hearing the engines, Kita could tell that the ship was beginning to land. She didn't have much on her except a vibroblade which she had become accustomed too in the past on her adventures with Jacobi. So she stuck with what she knew. A simple blaster was in a holster at her right hip, partly hidden by the light material dark grey jacket she wore. Kita had looked through the entire wardrobe of attire given to her by the Priest and had decided on black tights, a simple pale yellow top and dark grey high heeled boots that went up just below the knee. She didn't find the rest of the clothing to appealing. Most of it was in black or red. Neither color she really felt suited her personality.

Surprisingly to her she was no longer a prisoner...but treated as a guest. And in the Dark Lords home no less. Kita wasn't sure if this was a bad thing...or a good thing. She knew whoever this Tormentous was...he could kill her in a nanosecond. And yet she was being brought to him instead. For what though? The priest and Blood knew...but they didn't explain to her what was going to happen to her either other then somehow obtaining a rank or something? Working for him? It was not Kita's intention to work for the Dark Lord of the Sith. Just the opposite. But she was already figuring out that running away was certain death. After all...she couldn't really escape a sith...could she? Still, she couldn't fight it now. She needed time to assess the situation and form a plan. But not until she had a chance to study her enemy. So for now she would play along.

She stood near the exit of the Lambda, waiting patiently for the ramp to lower. As it did, a orange-red like light shined in as the ramp lowered on the ground of the entryway. The air had the smell of smoke and sulphur as Kita exited the ship, mouth and nose covered to attempt decreasing the intensity of the smell as her bright blue eyes took in the sight of the heavily armored sentinels that awaited her presence. She was told prior they wouldn't harm her in any way...as long as she didn't attack them or their master. Turning, she began following the guards down the pathway lined with the statues of all previous Sith and other force wielders. Her gaze taking in the details of each one. A couple of the statues she recognized. One being Neive who had been on the island of her home the day she was kidnapped off of Tibrin. She sorta recognized the one of slade...of course he seemed to have no dragon like features in the statue. The last one that was left unclean was unusual to say the least as it did indeed stood out from amoung the rest.

As they walked inside through the entrance of the palace, Kita began wondering what this new Sith Lord even looked like. Was he part reptilian too like Blood? She was curious.

The avenue ended in a staircase of many steps. Massive brazers lit the way and upon arriving to the apex of the stairs the double doors leading into the Citadel of the Dark Lord were of enough girth to fit a tank. More of the sentinels stood vigilant here. Though the truth in the matter was that even though there were guards throughout the one they were ‘protecting’ was likely the last one in this universe that actually needed protection as there was not a single being in this world or on any other that could withstand his horrible presence. Even so - they would guard these halls with their lives and more if needs be.

Those enormous doors opened with thunderous commotion and revealed unto the sentinel duo and Kita the interior of the Citadel. Along the widened walls were etchings of ancient Sith writings that told the story of Darth Tormentous from his beginning on the lost world of Roon to his grand victory over the army of his predecessor in the Valley of Sorrow on Ziost until the days of today where slaves toiled under the watchful eyes of taskmasters and overseers to tap in the ongoing stories that currently invoked the most recent burning of the moon of Sojourn in a glorious rendition honoring Tormentous while never mentioning the disheveled Blood by name.

Finally the corridor terminated into a massive central area girded with pillars and many other silent corridors that led off into who knows where. Lighting was concentrated on brazers attached to the walls and even some pillars. It gave the interior of the Citadel a warm feeling despite being naturally spooky.

Given to the far corridor the sentinels led Kita to its end where they took a turbolift many levels up. Eventually they were dispensed unto another set of doors - certainly not the size of the initial entry doors but still quite large. They were opened and the trio made within - the doors sealed shut behind them.

This next room was long and four pairs of pillars lined it on either side. In the middle was an utterly massive hearthfire that blazed in warm bright red-orange-yellow light. It was said that this flame never burned out. In truth it had never yet burned silent - replenished with fresh fuel from the slave labor every new dawn.

At the end of the room was a set of a dozen stairs or so and upon this dais sat a massive throne of a horrific nature. It was built of black iron and adorned with skulls. These skulls were not just any randomly selected remains but they were the greatest among the enemies and champions of Darth Tormentous. Among them upon the throne was that of Derric Starr, the Dark Council previous of Tormentous’ reign, a great Jedi Knight and a huge alien skull hideous in nature. Central of these skulls at the head piece sat a smaller skull, likely that of a human child. Behind the Throne of Skulls lay a mountain of bone, lesser but no less important remains. All bleached and cleaned of course but there was indeed a titanic amount of bones there. All were like the throne though of less value. Champions and Foes alike of the most vile Lord in the galaxy.

Before the throne on the left arm was a pedestal wherein lay sank halfway a terrifying sword. This sword was legend among the Red Cauldron of the Sith Order and outside its walls all among the galaxy. It was as feared as the terror who carried it. The Sword of Damnation, the Blade of Moraband Steel, the Jedi Bane itself - Jidai Maras. To look upon this sword was to invoke temptation from the Dark Side to even just touch it. It was an overpowering sensation as the whispers of the Dark Side of the Force would call to those whom set their eyes here. The whispers would call the tempted to take up the weapon and draw blood and let it run in rivers across every surface of every world ever known. Its call was so great that there were truly few who could even hope to resist its call. Of those whom the blade touched and drank of their blood yet did not kill - the sword would yearn for their souls everlasting and evermore until they day that it claimed them forever.

On the right hand of the Throne was a small raised altar where a tiny glowing pyramid of the deepest most beautiful red hue sat. It was covered in archaic runes and one glance at this near gemstone of an item and they were gifted the promise of knowledge that was great and terrifying to behold.

As Kita and the duo entered, they ceased their advance and turned away near vanishing into the darkness. The guards were no longer necessary as she had arrived at the desired destination. She was given leave to approach the throne.

Upon that horrible Throne of Skulls sat the nightmare of the galaxy himself. A man whose very name being uttered had conquered entire worlds. A man who had split the strongest Empire in the galaxy in half and burned Coruscant to the ground killing billions in the process. He had lit the fires of war on more than a dozen worlds and he had bled the fields red with the blood of his enemies. His hand was responsible for the most vile and terrible acts the galaxy had ever known - and his name was synonymous with the devil himself. It was said he even had the ability to send the souls of his enemies to utter ruination where even in the afterlife they would never find peace.

He sat upon his throne in full battle plate. The armor was Sith Eradicator armor, customized to fit his massive frame. On his shoulders lay a mighty cape with attached hood that was draped upon his visage which covered the features of his face. This shade over his facial features did little to hide his eyes. His left eye gleaned bright in a venomous acidic yellow - it burned with such power and so much hatred that they could burn away the bravery of men. But it was his right eye that people knew and feared. Behold it was lit with a scar running through the eye socket and the eye itself was bright white, near reflective and to whom it set its gaze those poor few would know true and absolute fear - it stared into their souls and it desired the hearts of all sentient life. The right eye suffered nothing and from it was the doom of eternity.

A mask of steel and carbon donned his face from the nose down - lights of the device’s power illuminated within the cowl of his hood and added to the intimidation that roiled from his person. His breathing wasn’t so intrusive as a certain Dark Lord of the past though it could be heard once any such audience closed in.

At once when Kita entered and when those doors closed - both his eyes set upon her and they narrowed with vehemence. His overwheming senses fell upon her and keyed in on everything her mind beheld and everything that was within her heart. It was an oppressive feeling and no doubt Kita Ikari would feel his gaze wash over her. The sound of thunder and of expanding wood, shattering splinters and unforgiving passage could be heard. In a moment - he knew her very name without her uttering a word.

Without a doubt surely she to would know him - Darth Tormentous, the Dark One himself. Dark Lord of the Sith.

Following up the steps and through the huge doors of the palace, Kita looked up and saw writing of sorts along the walls. Kita had wanted to know what the oddly written language said but knew it wasn't possible for her on her own. She would have needed a translator. The lighting was warm but dark as the guards guided her through the correct corridors leading to the lifts. Quietly Kita stepped on with the other 2 guards already along her sides.

It didn't take long before more doors were opened revealing another room with a warm fire in the center of it. Her light blue gaze glanced over quickly at the skulls that were incorporated into the thrones design. Kita had no doubt in mind that they were real...and not that of those made just for decoration. But as a statement. One that warned people of the owners wrath, and to strike fear in his subjects. She also knew that it was most likely his way of taking a trophy along with him for his accomplished kills. She also caught a quick glance of a sword and glowing red holocron within the room alongside the Dark Lord's throne. This place was seeming more like a trophy room more than anything.

Stopping, Kita hadn't paid much attention as the guards shut the door behind them as they left her alone with the Sith Lord. In a instant she looked over the appearance of his dark metal attire. The hooded cloak that attempted covering some of his facial features within the shadowed folds of his hood. But what Kita noticed most was his eyes. Not nessarily the color of the yellow one...but she recognized the sightless white iris staring at her with the all to familiar scar she remembered...and most of all the face covering that kept the Dark Lords appearance a secret to his enemies.

Kita instantly felt that familiar presence creep up deep within her as she froze in place in disbelief. It was him. She was sure of it. The one who had taken her under his wing so long ago...who had begun training her in the ways of the force. And yet their training had been cut short months later due to war. Separated. It was not a easy thing for Kita to endure in more ways than one. However the trials she had faced to get there alive standing before him said alot. Kita had gone through abuse and neglect in so many ways the past year in the spire. It showed she was a natural born fighter when it came to survival. No matter if she was winning or losing a battle, she put her all into it...and would have died trying before giving up. She was not a quitter. She had spent countless months clawing her way to the top of hell to get here...in this very room...to face her worst enemy...and her unfortunately her one weakness. She wasn't even noticing that the Dark Lord had been searching her mind for her details on her past and emotions.

"Jacobi?!!?" She stated in shock as her mind tried accepting the fact her own mentor had been the Dark Lord of the Sith this whole time. "H-How!!!???" She had mixed emotions in that moment. Shock over the fact he was the head of the Sith. Dread that she had been mentoring under Tormentous unknowingly a year ago. Anger at him for not telling her. Relief that he was alright...and most of all...Love. She had felt love for him in the past...and even now... despite being livid at him knowing she was lied too...she still cared for him. Although it also felt awkward to herself knowing that she harbored these feelings for the most hated and dangerous man in the first place. She had grown attached to Tormentous unintentionally. "What have I gotten myself into?" She thought. There was no way out now. And Kita knew it. Her heart was swayed by him. She would have gone to the ends of the galaxy for this man.

Something always struck her with him too. The reason she fell in love with him in the first place ...There was a side of him no one else seemed to see. Jacobi. Unknown to her he had 2 separate people in one mind. And she has seen and fell for the mandolorian who hid deep within this Sith Lord himself. Kita was one to see the best in people. And see the best in him she did. It was Tormentous alone she didn't care for. But seeing how they were both in the same body...she felt compelled to stay with the Dark Lord for that very reason and accept him for who he was as a whole. And so...her loyalty to him begun...

Silence responded to the blonde girl. Darth Tormentous claimed her thoughts for his own and he saw where her heart lay - right in the palm of his hand. She had guessed true that this man’s body was that of Jacobi Wylcott - Mandalorian Warrior and Chieftain of Clan Ordo - some even said he was the Mand’alor himself. But his mind belonged to someone else entirely, a Dark Lord. Though to denounce her suspicions would be to lose the power he held over her. No, he would no dispell this feeling she had for him. All the better to enslave this girl without her ever knowing at all. Her desire for Jacobi was so strong that Tormentous even suspected that she would kill for the Mandalorian - and in that it would be her downfall and spiral into the pitch black embrace of the Dark Side of the Force.

So - his chess game began. Why did he need the girl at all? Who was this blonde female in the scale of the entire galaxy? No one. Her presence would likely ever be insignificant. But the real question was what allowed Darth Tormentous longevity and to establish his own rule forever so long as he was worthy to sit on this Throne of Skulls. It was his mind. So long as Tormentous retained power over this body he possessed the capability to Lord his vile will over the galaxy for so many years to come.

The key was Jacobi Wylcott. That bastard Mandalorian had a profoundly strong willpower and to subjugate the mind of one so stout of will was no small effort on Tormentous’ behalf. Indeed Jacobi was a prisoner, a hostage that Tormentous kept in for the purpose of maintaining himself. It was Tormentous’ eternal goal to see Jacobi’s mind fully diminished that Tormentous would fight no longer for the scope of this consciousness - to break him utterly and in such finality that the Dark One would truly rule and find a way to live forever in a less grotesque way than the Lord Sovereign had. As of yet Tormentous had failed to extinguish Jacobi Wylcott - until now.

This - Kita Ikari was the key to it all.

This unassuming malnourished whelp was the simple key in bringing a Mandalorian King to absolute ruin.

Tormentous eyed her still and smiled beneath his mask. Yes - attachment was the way to break one’s soul. He could see it in her eyes that she was infatuated with Jacobi. He needed to allow this relationship to mature and grow - his yellowed eye gleaned ever brighter as this plot unfolded in his mind. Once Jacobi had too fallen for this wretch - then Tormentous would crucify her in a ritual and taken up her very soul and render it unto the depths of oblivion and damnation. Her screams would echo forever through the Force. Such an echo would haunt Jacobi in the knowledge that he could do nothing to stop Kita from being punished just because of who he was. It would grind Jacobi’s remaining will down into the dust - he would be as nothing - and Tormentous would have his victory at the price paid in this girl’s blood.

There was a chance otherwise however - Jacobi Wylcott despised everything that was the Force. He used it out of absolute necessity for it was in itself as a controlled manner to destroy Tormentous. It was likely the reasoning in which he took up Kita in training. To help guide her on a more controlled path instead of Tormentous guiding her down the pathway to hell. In this he enjoyed allowing Jacobi a tease of consciousness that he could see Kita approaching and know that she was in Tormentous’ hands now.

This ‘other chance’ was in the ultimate corruption of Kita Ikari and to turn her heart to be as black as his own. Push her to fall to the Dark Side and see Jacobi Wylcott squirm. To see his Kita falling further away from the pure and innocent hearted girl that she could possibly tear him apart just as well. It could even be a contingency plan too. Tormentous had no fear of Jacobi actually winning this struggle but say that he could - Kita could be used to keep Jacobi here and in check.

It seemed the possibilities were out there.

“Come into the light.”

His words laced with gravel and equal menace reverberated through the throne room as he beckoned her to approach the heartfire and reveal herself from the shadows that leapt and played throughout. As the fire light kissed her his eye drew cleanly upon her and her condition was far worse for wears than he had anticipated - then again if anyone could survive the Spire in a healthy manner - he didn’t want to meet that man or beast. To refer to her as anything less than slave or peasant or pleb irked the mighty Emperor of the Sith - but it was time to play the game and so his growl gave voice to her name. “Kita?” In this very moment - giving voice to that name - it awoke the dormant soul inside.

When the Mandalorian looked at the girl his choler grew and he wanted to lash out at Blood. That day long ago on distant Vorpa’ya he had been separated from both Warvanus and Kita Ikari. He’d been forced to assume both of them dead - in truth he’d searched for Kita where he had accepted Warvanus’ fate. He was forced to depart without the knowledge of her whereabouts and from the cold callous nature of war his hopes of her survival were diminished. To him she had spilled her life there on that dusty field and it had left him hollow in that respect. He hadn’t loved her then, but he was concerned with her care. Even Tormentous was disappointed in that he couldn’t use her for his ends. Kita’s death he did not take well. To see her here even in this disheveled form gave him relief and even hope. Hope that the fight wasn’t over yet. It gave the fighting spirit something to keep going for.

“Had I known you were in the Spire - I’d have come to get you out.” A sincere enough statement. Tormentous for her use, Jacobi for her freedom. “Blood kept you from me all this time. I didn’t even know you were alive until now.”

Still he remained seated upon the Throne of Skulls though he lessened his glare into normalcy. Tormentous soon realized he was not able to build on this in a social manner. He had no skills in speaking to his subjects in a manner that allowed them anything less than servitude. He either spoke to those worthy of great power or he commanded lessers. This detachment made it difficult to communicate. He would need to work on his ability to coerce and lie with a smile.

‘How?’

It was a fair question and perhaps her turmoil thus was ought be rewarded by a few answers before Tormentous’ finite patience wore too thin. It was that he knew her thoughts he was capable of enlightening her answer. “How is it indeed.” Finally he arose from the throne. The cape flowed around his armor and covered his plating enough he perhaps looked a bit less intimidating though more concealed. “The truth of my identity was kept from you intentionally. If you held the knowledge then your fate would have been far worse than your time in the Spire granted you. Blood would have took personal stock in destroying you - just to punish me.” It was likely little relief in that knowledge - the Spire Prison tormented people beyond their breaking points. That she had survived it spoke to her tenacity.

Leaving Jidai Maras behind, he needed it not. Descending the staircase he arrived to the otherside of the heartfire opposite of Kita. When the fire illuminated the shades within his cowl his skin shone. It was not healthy and tan as before, there wasn’t the defiant vitality in his features. It wasn’t a hideously pale skin tone but the visible corruption of something ethereal had begat him.

He looked upon her intently. There was something of importance that needed addressing. To her pronouncement of his given name Jacobi he did not respond. “I am Darth Tormentous. Emperor and Dark Lord of the Sith. All that you see belongs to me - all that I see is also mine. In this moment I give you a will that is free. Serve me, and your freedom will remain.” His white eye seemed to reflect the fire light with intensity in that very moment. “Deny my word, and your freedom will vanish in an instant. ” In this it was truly up to her now. For the first time in a long extended year the choice was hers. But then again what choice was it? The option was akin to a threat that promised to make the Spire Prison look like a blessing compared to his wrath. Likewise freedom - it was something she’d not seen since Tibrin.

His gauntlet moved from beneath the draped cape and his hand extended out to her. Should she move from around the heartfire and take it - all would be complete. “Come - and all that you seek will be revealed in time.”

“Come into the light.”

Kita stepped forward towards the fire that was set in the center of the room. She secretly enjoyed the warmth of the flames as she rested her gaze upon the Dark Lord. Unlike Tormentous, Kita wasn't pale from corruption. Her's was from lack of sunlight. Her tan skin now and once lean slightly lithe and muscular body, gone. It would take awhile before she gained back her regular body mass again. Her bright blue gaze still held that feiry sense of willpower and life within her. It was probably "one" of the qualities Kita was attracted to in the mandolorian. Willpower. Both seemed to have that trait in common.

"Kita?"
She could sense the anger in him rising and concern. No doubt from her appearance alone. She didn't blame him. “Had I known you were in the Spire - I’d have come to get you out.” She smiled lightly at hearing those words. “Blood kept you from me all this time. I didn’t even know you were alive until now.”

"Well...I'm happy to know that. And I agree. I wished you had rescued me sooner." She crossed her arms over her chest and cocked a eyebrow at him as a frown appeared on her face. "I can say it was like living in hell within that prison. I was just fortunate you trained me in that mountain region a year ago. The accidental dip in the frozen river seemed to have prepared me to endure frigid conditions within the Spire. If not for that experience and your training up there, I'd probably be dead right now from Phenomonia. Funny too since our training was so brief." She replied seriously.

"How? How is it Indeed." Kita's eyes stayed locked with Tormentous as he explained his reasons for lying to her about his true identity a year ago. “The truth of my identity was kept from you intentionally. If you held the knowledge then your fate would have been far worse than your time in the Spire granted you. Blood would have took personal stock in destroying you - just to punish me.” She hadn't thought of that before. She WOULD have been endangered if she knew who he was. Kita didn't move as he got up and made his way to the center of the room across from her on the other side of the burning fire. The light reflected off of his armor almost making it seem to appear he was engulfed in the flames himself as the seriousness in his white eye felt like it was scorching her with a certain intensity.

“I am Darth Tormentous. Emperor and Dark Lord of the Sith. All that you see belongs to me - all that I see is also mine. In this moment I give you a will that is free. Serve me, and your freedom will remain. Deny my word, and your freedom will vanish in an instant.”

Kita dwelled on the offer he was giving. Kita might have been blind by her affections for Tormentous...but she certainly wasn't stupid. She knew she never had freedom since she left Tibrin. But even if she was actually granted complete freedom to leave without dire consequences...she would have stuck by his side now anyway due to her attachment to him. She found him intriguing in his own right. A mystery...and someone whom she seemed to notice was lost somehow. Kita DID desire to want to learn more about the force and advance in her training alongside him. She didn't really like the fact she would be working with the Sith...but she really didn't have many options open to her. And after spending a year in the spire, she much would have preferred helping Darth Tormentous then anything else. She didn't really have anything to lose at this point in her life. Everything she had was gone anyway. It had been since she left her tropical home.

“Come - and all that you seek will be revealed in time.” He replied to her as his hand reached out to Kita from the burning flames.

She looked down briefly at his hand before slowly walking over and placing her hand in his. Kita's blue gaze looked back up at Tormentous with a newfound curiosity. To think the young girl was just shy a couple months of turning 18 the day she left Tibrin, Now 19. Cleaning fish and delving herself into the depths of the family buisness to distract her mind from the loss of her mother over a year ago. Now she had a new purpose. A new path to discover as she joined forces with the man who seemed to have captured her heart. There were no words to be spoken. Just a small smirk as she wondered what was to come next in her unknown future.

She willingly took the hand of the devil and then she went hand in hand with the Darkness.

Darth Tormentous smiled beneath his mask as she took his hand, it had been easy to catch this one. Yet he did not dismissively send this one away to the Sith Academy and into the watchful ways of the Taskmasters and Overseers. He realized he was still holding the tiny hand in his gauntlet. He growled and released her, turning away hr began to walk away. “Then let us begin. Come with me.” He moved towards the right of the throne room where another corridor awaited them both. It was a long and lonely passage - much like the rest of the corridors in the Citadel - at the end of the corridor was a single large door which they both entered.

The room was large and had a vast window in the rear that oversaw a vast canyon. Dominating the room was an enormous desk that was covered with parchment, scrolls that were likely ancient, maps and several books. Tormentous was not just a Dark Lord that commanded from the throne, he studied and he investigated and he planned and plotted schemes of grandiose purpose. Nothing upon this desk was not being utilized, it was chaotically organized and very specific.

Before the window was a stasis field not unlike the one that Kita had been imprisoned within aboard the Jai-Galaar. Inside the glowing field rotated a dagger, it was long and the blade was not a dueling design but rather a stabbing one meant to pierce deep. One look at this dagger would be enough to stir uneasiness within anyone as the blade seemed to shift and shudder as if the steel was not whole. It was as if it was vibrating rapidly that the eye could not catch the true edges. Much like his sword, it seemed to call out to anyone and it promised eternal tragedy to its victims.

It was time to see if Kita was still worthy. She had come so far and had overcome so many things. But just her determination wasn’t enough. The Dark Lord of the Sith had use for determined people but what the Sith Order truly kept stock in was those that could touch the Force and bend it to their will. She’d already gone this far - if she could take this next step then her worth would be far beyond anything previously thought.

In the middle of the room Tormentous stopped and turned to her. His dangerous look left him and he no longer glared at the girl - he looked at her now with a desire to see what she was capable of. It had been more than a year since she’d been proven back on Ziost and back then Tormentous had little to do with her, he did not share the exact memories of Jacobi and likewise the Mandalorian did not with the Dark Lord. It was as if they witnessed things in a distant dream. But here and now Darth Tormentous was to set her along the course he’d chosen for her. She would rise strong on her own here or she would be nothing more than a disappointment which he’d wasted too much time on already.

“The Force, it flows within us all - different in some than others but it stil is within all. In order to fully understand and utilize the Force you must know how to control it. Without control then you will fail to succeed in the most basic tasks.”

He closed his eyes and concentrated on Kita’s Force aura. Just as he suspected her signature was chaos and unfiltered. She had no direction and through the Force she was a lost soul left to twist in the wind. She would ever fail to be anything but a struggling drowning person in this hellacious sea of the void. He kept his eyes closed and so then he spoke, his bass tones crawled forth and instructed her that she would overcome weakness.

“Your energy field must be controlled. As it is you will never focus it and be able to use it when the time comes. Reach out and seek the Force that is flowing all around you and command it to obey your will. What you are looking for here is the means to control the Force within your own energy field. Without control it is impossible to succeed. Your lack of control is holding you back and keeping you from reaching to new heights in your training. One task - if you cannot control your emotions, the energy field surrounding you, and the Force within you - then you will fail.”

Kita couldn't help but notice the lines starting to form around his eyes telling her he was smiling. Not knowing it was a devious one, she just accepted it as him being happy she took his offer. Which in a sense it was. He got a willing apprentice in his grasp. It lasted a few seconds more before he gave an irritated growl and turned away, her hand falling to her side as he asked her to follow him. Kita did so quietly as he led her down another corridor where a room awaited at the end.

Walking in behind him, she glanced around the large room and approached the messy desk that sat in the center, taking a peak at the contents strewn about as she passed by approaching the window. "Look's like something I'd do…" she thought. Turning her attention elsewhere, Kita stood near the window, her blue eyes transfixed on the rotating dagger behind the stasis field.

Tormentous drew her out of the fascination of the blade as he turned and started explaining to her her next training assignment.

“The Force, it flows within us all - different in some than others but it stil is within all. In order to fully understand and utilize the Force you must know how to control it. Without control then you will fail to succeed in the most basic tasks.”

Watching as he closed his eyes, Kita began wondering what he was doing until he started to speak.

There was no waiting for her. Instantly Kita began to work on her next task at hand. To control her own energy...
---BEGIN CONTROL 1 - 400 Words---

Closing her eyes, Kita let her mind begin to focus in on her energy. Kita felt it spark and swirl within her uncontrollably throughout her body. Her own energy flow within her was a mess, like a Tsunami that had crashed over an unexpecting city, leaving destruction in its wake. Kita focused more on the energy from around her then from herself since day one. She hadn't really been focusing on using her own energy as much. She preferred using what was available to her around her surroundings. And she had never really been able to tap into the force easily.

Allowing her mind to wander, she found the strongest location of energy for some reason clustering the most at the core of her chest. Kita needed to move that energy and distribute it throughout her body evenly. She needed to guide it. Expand it. And doing that was not going to be easy for her.

Focusing on the location where most of it was directed, Kita attempted to take hold of the flickering sense of warmth that radiated within her. But it remained stagnant. Knowing the feeling of its presence gnawed at her, taunted her as she had struggled to grasp its command...

-Pause App-204/400-
Kita opened her eyes losing vision of what she wasn't able to accomplish yet. She glared at Tormentous, not necessarily at him but just angry and irritated with the task at hand being asked of her after JUST getting out of the spire. "I honestly don't understand how I'm supposed to do this at this very second!!" She yelled. Kita didn't bother letting Tormentous respond as she closed her eyes again. She just wanted to yell out her frustration at someone. Probably not the best idea to yell at the Sith Lord himself...but that was Kita. She wasn't afraid to voice her opinions.
---CONTINUE APP---

Frustrated, Kita tried keeping her mind focused again...but this time with a more aggressive and determined attitude as she continued her training. Trying again to direct the energy flow within her, she envisioned it moving...from her chest, down through her limbs...and finger tips. It took a minute, but eventually she felt the sensation of the warm electric pulses begin to travel fluently through her body. As its energy coursed through her, Kita suddenly felt stronger from the force's power. It was rejuvenating, but also exhausting, only adding in to her own Fatigue. She felt her pulse quicken, heart pounding as she began taking full control of her own energy. Once she felt it completely move through her extremities, she began her next step. "Now to expand…" she thought.

The force could be felt radiating, expanding as she sent it forth...slowly expanding the energy field around her. Kita felt the task alone draining her as she struggled to fight her own limits of endurance. Her progress so far was small. No more than about 5 feet in distance at most had she been able to accomplish this task. Even though she lacked experience and training, her desire to improve drove her on.

And because of the lack of stamina and physical strength due to her current condition, Kita could only hold out the energy field so far for herself through concentration. She knew in her mind it wasn't a lot of a radius. It was a disappointment to herself at how hard she had fallen in her lack of training. But it was a start. Once she got proper nourishment and ALOT more practice, she would be able to improve on her energy fields distance and it would come easier for her...

---END CONTROL 1---WORDS 297/400 COMPLETE Total 501---
Kita opened her eyes and looked at Tormentous curiously. Though tired, she couldn't help but wonder at what he had planned. "So what's next?" She asked.

Her outburst did not affect his mood, he was by far more interested in her progress than in her attitude. In truth the outburst told him much - it told him she was easily frustrated if not out of control when it came to certain tasks. He was sure that the lack of her ability to keep her tongue was simply from her physical exhaustion. It mattered not. Said outburst was not reflective of what he felt inside of her - a strong willpower that would be far too determined to give up. Disappointment never found him as she went right back into her trials.

That chaotic aura surrounding her within the energy field began to form into something less than a whirlwind of disorganized abandon - it soon smoothed itself and chipped the grain until it was more clear and settled. The current of the Force around Kita Ikari churned into a natural flow by her strong spirit. ‘Excellent. Her power grows.’ His thoughts spanned into the possibilities in which he could make her in the future - he had so many plans and more - hopes - that she would see her potential fulfilled to the end.

“Next, my dear.” This time his smile was genuine though it wasn’t broad in foolish happiness - it was a drawn and slight smile. It was of accomplishment and in that his anticipation with this girl was not to be wasted. She would not fail him. “Next, it is time to replenish that which was lost.”

First though some things needed to be attended too. “As my Apprentice you are entitled to much. However, you must first earn that status and right. Nothing is given - everything is earned. This is your first true lesson.”

He led her out of his office/training area and a short distance down the hall to another chamber. This room was basic enough and lacked many amenities. But it had a comfortable looking bed and an armor rack which was empty and a place to keep her weapons and even a bench on which to clean and maintain them. “It will not be often when we are here for extended periods of time. But when we are, this is your quarters. For now, rest and recover. Soon your new life will begin.”

“Next, my dear. Next, it is time to replenish that which was lost.”

She tilted her head curiously as Tormentous looked quite pleased. His comment confusing her. "Replenish what was lost?? What was lost exactly??" She let him answer before hearing his next comment.

“As my Apprentice you are entitled to much. However, you must first earn that status and right. Nothing is given - everything is earned. This is your first true lesson.”

Kita reflected on that thought. She understood quickly that even at being his apprentice, she needed to earn everything including her place "fully" as his apprentice. "Understood." She knew it was gonna be a long journey ahead of her. But it was something she was willing to fight for. She had gotten this far, she wasn't going to quit so early in the game.

She quietly followed him out of the room, not glancing back as they left down the hall. As she stepped in the room behind him, her blue eyes took in the atmosphere of the room. It was rather plain. Mostly empty, but that left it open to add her own creative design to the place. Noticing the place to store her weapons, she already walked over to them setting her vibroblade and pistol down inside and closed it. She would have locked it for safety reasons, but found she didn't have to here. She glanced at the bench envisioning herself already sharpening her knives and swords in the future like Jacobi taught her back on Zoist. She turned and looked at him as he spoke.

“It will not be often when we are here for extended periods of time. But when we are, this is your quarters. For now, rest and recover. Soon your new life will begin.”

"New life will begin? Seems like it did a long time ago." She thought to herself as she nodded in acknowledgment. She yawned. It had been a long day and all she was happy about at that moment was crawling into bed and sleeping for however long, she would be able to rest before getting up for what she guessed was more training of some kind.
